My three year old nanny kiddo absolutely ADORES this channel. He can name at least a half dozen tractors on sight…thx for this find!! We’ll have a great time with it!!
This old girl bring back great memories especially it nearly made green LOL. I was operating 9520 pulling Finch 38T chaser bin for harvest in Queensland. Definitely different operating to CaseIH Steigers, big cabin compare our 9370, control arm was great feature with electric spools, this tractor made long days easier. Definitely one John Deere tractor I would have next to CaseIH tractors.
Very cool. I like the 9220. I have a few 9220 videos here on BTP. I like John Deere tractors with double model numbers like 4440, 8440, 8330, 9220, 9330 etc….
The 4455 is a nice tractor. You may have noticed on the opening clip this farm has a 4055 planting with a 12 row 20 inch planter right behind the 9520.
On our farm we have a 1996 jd 8970 with 2260 original hours. We pull a 45 ft cultivator and a case 730c ripper. We also have a case in 9370 that pulls a 19 knife anhydrous bar in spring and a 7 shank ripper in the fall. Also have a Steiger pta280 with the cat 3406 that pulls a tile plow.
Probably got half the price of the tractor invested in rubber. Them forestry tires are salty but wear like iron so probably even out in the long run. One nice thing about a mulcher over a lot of finishing tools is you can flat haul the mail of ground condions allow.
I think a lot of farmers go overboard on their seed bed prep, IMO. I see a lot of top soil being blown off of overprepared fields all of the time because of overfarming where I reside.
Central Wisconsin has a sandier soil. It works up nicely. Most likely this field had a primary tillage pass and this mulcher is the secondary pass to firm up the seed bed.
not to mention the loss in all important moisture every time the soil is turned and exposed. it seems, if i didn't know better, just for looks. considering the effectiveness of herbicides and chemicals it seems unneeded
That would be a good topic. A lot of it has to do with soil conditions and types. Where I live most farms run triple tires. The farmers feel in the red clay soil here triples tie the power to the ground better than duals or big singles. In other regions other tires may work better.
Those brillion pulvimulchers have been popular here in wisconsin for years. Make a great seedbed and push down rocks. Gonna miss Brillion if Landoll phases it out
I think the Brillion Pulvimulcher is here to stay. Landoll had its own cultimulcher and it was phased out of production shortly after the Brillion acquisition in favor of the Pulvimulcher line.
The only thing I didn't like about this one is how short it is. Get a drone and add some footage like Farmhand Mike does. Your videos are awesome, drone footage would take them up a whole other level.
The Tractors at Work videos like this one are part of a series of 5 minute videos I post each Friday. 80% of this video is drone footage. This video and the other videos in this series are tractors that were not able to be filmed for the extensive time I normally like to get with ground, drone and in cab ride along footage. Rather than not share the footage at all I started using the footage in this shorter format. In the case of this 9520 two passes were able to be filmed and then the tractor was done for day as you can see at the end of the video the tractor is driving off out of the field.
30ft is about as big as a Pulvimulcher goes. There is a 36ft model that tops the Brillion line. I own a 30ft Case IH cultimulcher and my 370 hp tractors knows it’s back there when I open up the tractor.
@@bigtractorpower YesI agree with you but the length of the implement is far too long with each succesive piece going back does very little. There would be a lot less of unnecessary passes over the ground with a wider and shorter cultivator. All the best to you and I always enjoy your excellent videos.
These Tractors at Work videos are released every Friday at 2 pm to feature videos that I only have a small amount of footage of the tractor. It is just a way to share extra footage in my archives that has not been used before and there is not enough footage to make a full 10 minute specification video of.
I've ALWAYS liked the look of those JD 4 wheel drives with duals but with those forestry tires, that is one tough looking tractor!! GO BTP 💪!!
💪💪
In fs22 i have a hard time picking super single tires because i never see it in real life but now i like the singles
The big forestry tire sure does give the tractor a tough look.
9520 always was a Boss!!
Especially pulling tandem dirt pans.
The 9520 Scraper Special tractors just keep going and going.
@@bigtractorpower yes Sir!!

Nice to see these not Old but not new Tractor, and 2k lb of Exhaust hanging off the cab, nice I love it
The early 2000’s tractors are pushing on 20 years old now. The 9020 tractors have a good strong sound from their engines.
Great looking machine. Thank you for finding this one.
My friend John filmed this one. It sure is a stand out.
I really like those Super Single tires!
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
😁👍👍
Nothin copies like a Deere hahaha.

I see, how long have you been copying Deere?
Just beautiful country!
Good farmland.
Love the floater tires on the Deere!!

Very cool. The Deere 9000 series really put the company on the map for 4wd tractor sales.
Bought a 2002 JD 9220 with 4300 hrs on auction last fall. Haven't had it in the field yet but am pretty excited about it.

@@bigtractorpower it is actually an upgrade from an 8440 that we ran for years and we're sad to see go. So solid.
Awesome tires😲😲
😁👍
Nice tires!
They sure do stand out.
Great viewing video 👍
Thank you for watching.
The big tires look good on that machine😁👍 it's a great classic tractor👍👍
The 9520 is 20 years old this year. When it was new 450 Hp was top of the line now it is mid sized.
huge field
Good sound coming from that machine 😍
The 9020 series tractors have a good growl to them.
One of my favorite John Deere tractors 🚜
👍👍
Quite amazing. Those tires are huge!
LSW
The forestry tire sure gives it a tough look.
Joe these are not an LSW. They look like an LSW 1250 but these are forestry tires and have a side wall where LSW does not have a side wall.
Hard to tell when they are spinning!
I pull that same thing with a 4455.
The 4455 is a nice tractor. You may have noticed on the opening clip this farm has a 4055 planting with a 12 row 20 inch planter right behind the 9520.

Very nice line up. The PTA 280 is a cool Steiger to have. They are on the rare side to find.
Looks pretty good on those forestry tires.Nice clean older tractor too.
It is a cool looking tractor.
@@bigtractorpower For sure!
Hello! Awesome wheels!
This 9520 is a stand out on the Forestry tires.
@@bigtractorpower 👍
It's a dream to see such machines live and not in pictures 🤩🤩
Farming in action is neat to watch.

Cultimulchers sure do make a nice seed bed. I got going a little too fast with mine this past fall. I need to replace two rollers.
Nice tractor 👍💪😁
The 9520 is a solid tractor.
@@bigtractorpower Yes of course, I drive a John Deere 9520R tractor. 2021 are very strong 💪👍
I run a John Deere 9220 4WD tractor with 8 dual tires and it's a synchro transmission.
Very nice. The 9220 was a very good tractor.
I like the single set of tires instead of the duals! Cool video. 👍🏻🚜
It sure stands out.
@@bigtractorpower for sure! Completely agree with you.
The excavating company by me used to have 1 like that, and it pulled a K-tech pan scraper
Very nice. The 9520 Scraper Special is a solid tractor. I have a friend who has put 14,000 hours on one.

Fuel, Equipment and Fertilizer costs going up... doesnt make much sense to be doing all this anymore...
not to mention the loss in all important moisture every time the soil is turned and exposed. it seems, if i didn't know better, just for looks. considering the effectiveness of herbicides and chemicals it seems unneeded
Normally see tractors with those tires running scrappers
Yes indeed.
I would like a video, discussing the advantages of the wide tread, over that of the standard tread.
That would be a good topic. A lot of it has to do with soil conditions and types. Where I live most farms run triple tires. The farmers feel in the red clay soil here triples tie the power to the ground better than duals or big singles. In other regions other tires may work better.
The price that fuel is for this year going to be expensive to till the soil that much unless its a HIGH value crop.
This is vegetable canning crop country. A good clean seed bed is very necessary for production.
we run a Johndeere 8650 (85) with 650/65-38 duals. and a Väderstad carrier 650. or Kverneland Maxxer 8000 for seedbed preparation.
Very cool.

"Pushes down rocks" I didn't know that. I just wish I could work on a farm. I hate what I do now, but it pays the bills and feeds the family.
I think the Brillion Pulvimulcher is here to stay. Landoll had its own cultimulcher and it was phased out of production shortly after the Brillion acquisition in favor of the Pulvimulcher line.
Yeah big tires, only ATL-Goodson Tigercat 635 has bigger ones.
👍👍
✌️✌️✌️
Thank you for watching.
Not even letting up on the end row turn arounds.
With a Pulvimulcher you do not have to lift. When I run mine I just lift the center tines and make a wide loop to keep stress off the rollers.
Not something you see everyday.
Definitely a different look for a solid tractor.

Expensive to replace that rubber these days
It would be interesting to price the forestry tire vs. metric duals vs. triple tires.

He is wasting good power there and he should be pulling twice that width of an implement.
