My grandmother lived and worked in Leningrad throughout the blockade, making shells. And my grandfather drove trains along the Death Corridor. Mom was born in 1948

in the West, always is reported from suffering and destruction from Poland, France, England …. but never from the destruction and suffering of Russia

My mother Olga Taracevich-Akhrameev was born in Leningrad ln 1921 .lived on Marata street#8. Survived the Siege of Leningrad1941_1944.by the German army. In 1941 she was ,20. Years old. After the war of 1941-1945. She was left an Orphan . Died in Leningrad in 1994.

Privet Sergey and thank you for this wonderful coverage of The 80th Anniversary of the The End of the Siege of Leningrad. The fireworks are lovely, but the wow-factor of this video is the film projection onto the buildings between @32:40 and @50:20. Superb! The best we have ever seen. An epic display and the tragically beautiful music and narration is inspirational. Very moving 🥺 and when you walked away with the crowd afterwards, it gave us a special feeling. I can't describe it. The same feeling after the fireworks and the flow of people through the streets.
We've watched this video 3 times. Have recommended it. I've commented upon it in a few other videos, but only just posting a comment here a month later - with the intention to watch the projection again. A very effective, impressive display.

Как эти безобразные, кабельные провода над Невой жутко портят внешний облик нашего города.Еще в 1980-1990-начало 2000-ые годов этой гадости не было.Не понимаю куда смотрят власти Санкт-Петербуга?Я считаю,что за такое издевательство над городом надо жёстко штрафовать.А что за идиот-вандал вырвал кусок гранита из постамента ,на котором стоят скульптуры коней Клодта на Аничковом Мосту?🤦Это просто ужас!!!Такое варварство лет 5-10 даже и не снилось.Срочно нужно камеры видеонаблюдения на каждом углу,если в этом городе живут такие дикари.И жёстко штрафовать,штрафовать, штрафовать.Пусть раскошеливаются на восстановление памятников архитектуры,причем из собственного кармана.Может тогда мозги у них встанут на место?Хочется задаться вопросом,что за поколение заменит предыдущие поколения? Что за моральных уродов мы растим,если они так относятся к своей культуре?Зато на каждом углу полно уличных музыкантов..

Кусок гранита вырван немецким артиллерийским снарядом и не восстанавливается намеренно как артефакт войны.
Провода на Невском спрятали под землю в прошлом году. Постепенно разберутся с остальными.
Вы бы ещё спросили, почему вырваны куски гранита из колонн Исаакиевского собора.
Вы бы хоть немного историю города почитали...
