very impressive but agreed -- the performance of Spring Waters in the video "the bolshoi ballet" has more passion, more intensity.

Well, I wish someone would translate their names from the cerillic to latin alphabet. I'd like to know who they are. This was not very badly done. It was very well danced, if poorly directed. There is a great purity and lyricism to their lines (which he matched perfectly by the way). She has a delicacy and feminimity which I find very attractive, which again he matched with a lovely masculine style. There is a lightness and freshness to this interpretation, which is perhaps the mistly-waterfall version of the very same water-spring. There is an ease of movement and, dare I say, fluidity that is indeed like water. The ONLY thing missing, and the reason I said it's down to the director or rehearsal mistress, is they just needed a little help tightening it up here and there. That is to say, they needed some guidance on when and where and how to be sharper, attack more, hit it with a punch, and then let it all go and go for it emotionally! Do not hold back; this pas de deux is, for me, all about the abondon. If this element were added here, then you would have a Spring Waters very difficult indeed to beat, at least for the past 60 years! Yay for you, whoever you two are: very elegante!
