I did not like this video. it seemed he had already planned to look for defects. I do not think excess lub is such a serious problem because it can be easily modified.

It's like he's never opened a Shengshou puzzle before. It's not uncommon. And sure it's not ideal but you just wipe the puzzle with a paper towel and the problem is solved. I'm not sure why he just started using the cube and kept complaining about it instead of fixing the problem.
Dude, it's a Dayan, it's been a while since the last cube so what would you expect? Of course it would be an average thing.
Yeah but do you see any flagship cubes covered in so much lube? Yeah it’s an easy fix but all the excess lube doesn’t need to be there at all.
I'm guessing that he didn't cube when I started, back when Type A and Type C were the best thing you could get. Most cubes weren't even adjustable. Now, it's a "shame" that you "have" to set up a speedcube. Half the fun is in setting up your cube, in my opinion. We didn't even have good lube when I began. You had to either use some silicone spray or Jig-A-Loo, or something.
I did not like this, I think he was trying to make it seem bad because it’s a Dayan puzzle! I got mine a week ago and after literally ten minutes of cleaning the lube and tightening it, it was pretty much performing on par with my Gan 356 X

No, it probably wasn’t performing ‘pretty much on par with my Gan 356 X’ I can’t say for sure if this is a lie because I’m not you, but Gan makes top of the line puzzles while Dayan cubes are cheaper more budget cubes, nowhere near Gan quality.
@@awr3965 if you're talking abt quality, yea its a no-brainer that the gan cubes definitely feel more premium, but the performance is what we're talking about.

For me it would be my main, though I'd rather choose a gan x or gts3m. If i had to switch my main i would definitely go for one of these, especially the new valk elite or mgc elite. It is nice to see dayan making a new cube now and a very good cube

What is he talking about? Tengyun M is my main. I got my pb of 9.75 with this cube. I average around 15-16 seconds with it and with a bit tighter tensions, it's better than GAN XS. Yes, you read it right! I got both and i'll choose Tengyun over my 60$ cube!. Your viewpoints somehow seemed really biased to me. No wonder I'm not into your channel! Never felt right.
Everyone has different turning style and preferences, you can't expect everyone to like a cube that you like. I personally don't like the Tengyun M because of how fast it is, i can't spam tps without it flying out of my hands.

Mine was not lubed at all on the outside but that's not bad to just wipe it off with a tissue for just 15 secs, "Unusable out of the box" mine was better than any other 3x3 ever even out of the box. 4:33 but before that look at it 3:17 wow that is very usable...

Its a very good performer i would say. In my perspective. I think it has a very smooth buttery feel plus a very quiet sound which for me is good. Wheb i received my tengyun, yes sure. It was covered with lube. But bro. Just because it's dayan doesn't mean it's bad. Why don't you just wipe out the excess lube instead of complaining about it. I also get the you Don't like to set up cubes. But if you Don't want to then it will never satisfy the way you want it to perform/ feel. atleast give credit to dayan for a huge jump from their previous 3x3.

I got a zanchi not too long ago. I got it for the historical significance and to fill out my collection, but still.
I got my Zhanchi like 5-6 years ago and from then it's being my main for all these years ,I loved it for all the years .The time I bought it ,it was the apex of the cubes and I used to feel very proud for having one of it ,and the fact hurts a bit that it didn't have a proper legacy ,that's when the Tengyun came out but people talk bad low about it ,want to buy one badly ,but afraid if it would worth the cost..

I had the same problems. I added stronger magnets (extra magnets to all edges.).I got it for how quiet it is. It's my take with me too work cube something I won't annoy people on the bus with.

@@datboi0669 under center caps and edges. I added 4to each cap but that was to strong. I'd put 2 under each cap. But now the tengyun 2 is out. I'd just buy that. But it will be different then the first though

Dayan does use "real" lube except they put WAY too much on the inside and outside.
I didn't really understood what he meant with " real" lube like is real lube the cubicle lubes and speedcubeshop lubes

I like to try budget magnetic cubes they using rubbing alcohol on a microfiber cloth to clean the outside see if it gets the oil off easily

That sucks dude. That's actually not normal. That's one that got past quality control. I've seen other unboxings and have never seen that mess. It looks like they fill a vat with lube and then threw the cube in it for fun. Wouldn't doubt if that's what they actually did.
But you are right, it's not going to be anything amazing. The magnets are weak, not changeable. But it's still a really good cube. Very smooth.
