    Good idea to trim those bolts, because sure as night follows day, you'll need to search for something under that seat eventually and will inevitably shred a knuckle on those beautiful sharp bolt threads. Nice vid mate.

    If you are really struggling with getting loose you can always drop a 4.77 rear end from a S2 in your S1 and it will dramatically shorten gears and boost your torque at the wheels.
    Just thought of it a bit late from watching your drift day video weeks ago.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  6 років тому

      That would be a great upgrade, but sadly too expensive. I would rather save up for a turbo conversion or better 13b rew swap :)

    • @dustincomp1814
      @dustincomp1814 6 років тому

      Driven by madness junk yard S2 rear end is cheaper than a turbo system or rew. Or at least here it is. If you can find you they will practically give it to you

    Had the recall done today, new fuel pump and lower control arms, took the dealership the full 8.5 hours but the stumble at 3.5 - 4k rpm is gone and pulls a clean 10 in all gears.

      @Drivenbymadness  6 років тому +1

      Awesome! Glad to hear you back in the game :D I don't know what's happening with my recall, as i've been waiting 3 months and still no one contacted me for the recall followup.... it's a good thing my radiator is busted, otherwise i would be pretty mad at their customer support and care. Hopefully i'll get everything sorted in august :)

    • @bustermuffinhaff781
      @bustermuffinhaff781 6 років тому

      photonman54 don’t know for his seats in specific just how low they can go, the holes on the side of the bracket allow for about 6 inches in adjustment. Personally I’m running the Zeta 3, which sits a good bit lower than stock seats. Actually have head room now lmao

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  6 років тому

      Here's the deal, the seats are a bit lower, and can get even lower if you remove the bottom cushion, but you can't lean the seat back to gain more space. So since i'm forced to sit straight, i have just enough room, i will struggle a bit with a helmet, but if i take the cushion out, i can sit comfortably without issues :)

    Hello bro Whats its better the S1or S2 ?
    I'm about to buy an RX8 2009 S2 with 90331 in the odo and I want to know if S1 problems were fixed or anithing
    What advice could you give me?vI am a little confused

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  6 років тому +1

      If you have the money get an S2 Rx8. All of the major issues were fixed and you have 1 extra oil injector to lubricate the engine, which is extremely helpful to maintain the engine long term. Also it look better, in my opinion. If your limited on the budget, an S1 is good too, and if you follow my tips & first mods video, you will have a very reliable S1 Rx8 :)

      Driven by madness I have S2 at 88k I bought it at 25.5k (these are miles) and I have never premixed, had it flood 1 time that I deflooded myself by pulling the fuel pump relay and cycling it with and without fuel for a couple minutes,. Has never overheated, never broken down, actually never seen a shop except for when I hit some animals and damaged my front end.
      I'm still all original rotors, housing, seals, coils, plugs.
      I have deleted my catalytic converter and muffler (yup straight pipes) and I have put on a bit more aggressive AFR map.
      Edit: just realized I quoted wrong person. But still the right comment thread.

    No sliders tho? People will have a hard time getting in the back nor can you adjust the seat if for instance your gf drives it or a good friend.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  4 роки тому

      A bucket seat is for track use only, which means you have to have a helmet on. With sliders, people taller than 1.85m can't get in, cause the roof will be too low. If you're under 1.80m you can consider slidersx otherwise don't :)

    • @swansmeister
      @swansmeister 4 роки тому

      @@Drivenbymadness my buckets (recaro pole positions in black leather so not that average crap) have abe approval so I can use them on the road without mot problems, sliders raise the seat like what, have an inch maybe a lill bit more, so thats bs saying people not be able to get in, laughable actualy.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  4 роки тому

      @@swansmeister dude... obviouslpy you can get it, but sit straight and drive with a helmet and sliders, while being tall more than 187cm is impossible, you'll brake your neck. Im 1.87m and my helmet is rubbing the roof.

    • @swansmeister
      @swansmeister 4 роки тому

      @@Drivenbymadness sure I believe that but I dont thi k half an inch is not gonna matter, like you said yourself you have no sliders and already hit te roof, lower the sidebrackets than if you have a lower hole left in em.

    • @Drivenbymadness
      @Drivenbymadness  6 років тому +1

      od kar sem ga kupil sem naredil 12.000km. Za prvi avto je ok, ali traži puno benza. Šta se tiče ulaganja, imaš da ga redno servisiraš, ali to obavezno svako leto mali servis i na dve godine hladilna tekočina. Možda dobrih 500€ da sriediš sve što bi bilo potencialen problem, poslje toga avto radi normalno. Isto sve zavisi koliko kompresije ima. Ako kupuješ avot ki treba puno vremena da se pali ko je hladan i vruč, onda snaš da ima nešto za popravit i mogučno je da je kompresija. Ali to se da testirat brez problema. Najbitnije je da ti nima gusti bijeli dim od izpuha :)

      You have air in the system. Park your car half on a hill. it must be cold. Take the coolant bottle cap off. start the car blast your heat and fans at full power. as the car works Observe the coolant in the bottle and see if bubbles come out. if you don't see any, firstly give it a couple of revs and have someone stand by the bottle to see if bubbles come out. When the car is almost warm, give it some big revs up to 8000 rpm and hold it there for 3-4 seconds. In this last process you should see a lot of small bubbles come out of the bottle. Repeat it untill you dont 'see any more bubbles comming out. When done. put on the cap and let the car work for 10 min and carefully watch the water temperature on your obd2 scanner. It must NOT go above 220F. also make sure you fans are kicking in at full power when revving/ being at operating temperature. This is how i solved my air trapped in the system, let me know :)
