The developers of these newer mods just try to convert BF2 into BF3 at any cost and don't understand at all what made BF2 stand out in the first place. So you get these casual nonsense like vehicles auto-rearming out of thin air and there's no logistics like in BF2.
Theres 3 maybe 4 battlefields that i think are great and the rest.....bla in comparison. BF1942, BF2, BF Bad company 2 and Battlefield 1 ( i thought BF 3 and BF4 were terrible). Literally all the rest of the versions are diminished mainstreamed versions of these great Action MP fps military shooters. Battlefield 1 was an interesting innovation to the series and graphically amazing, that's why I included it.
Battlefield 1 was the textbook example of mainstreamed and casual, including it defeats the statement kinda. It made use of the graphics work they had done for battlefront.
@@MrSunglxzz regardless i think DICE needs to go WAY back to go forwards...and start again from BF2. Bad Company 2 was the best fun mainstream Battlefield game they ever did. As far as Star Wars goes? Both recent EA/Dice Battlefront 1 and 2 are terrible in comparison to the 2005 original.
@@nyranstanton203 the best fun and casual successful was battlefield 3 by a mile. Remember, back then everyone was playing it, even people who aren't usually into shooters, it was THE Game. Even the biggest cod UA-camr(s) had to cover it. Don't get me wrong, bad company 2 is a fun game and all, but it never had the appeal to the casual masses like bf3 had.
All the links that refers to Second Assault 2.0 is dead. I found the mod creator's bili account but I don't want to download it through Baidu. It always forced me to download their Downloader.
I never understand why chinese modders dont upload their files to hosters that are popular, like Mega or GDrive at least. It seems like they have their own forum (in chinese) using Baidu file hoster/chinese file host that requires you sign up for a download. jeezuz man.

This is why I play BFHD and I run a server. It's normal BF2 with many many non game changing improvements

I can rmb at the time this game required a new shader model which was only available on the latest gen gfx cards. Wouldnt get away with that today :D
