I have a 250L, CB 500X Rally Raid, and an Africa Twin. Some of my friends thought I was going to get rid of the 250L when I got the other bikes, nope. It's a great bike and something you can actually have fun with on the trails. I'd only get rid of the 250L for a 300L.
Great bike. Its actually faster than the KTM/Husky options in the same cc when running on low octane fuel... Haha. Like how I did that? its true. Don't cut corners on sprocket/chain changes. it uses a narrow 520. Much like dedicated dirt bikes use. There's supply chain issues with those chains. (pardon the pun). The cheap fat chains cause some slop or chain slap and can hit the case. CRFsonly is a reliable source.
I finally traded my crf250l for a crf300l. The crf300l is definitely lighter and does not have the top heavy feel that the crf250l had. I can lean the crf300l over further and turn a lot sharper on a trail without feeling like it will fall over. Also, the crf300l 2nd gear is now very usable on the trails. The 2nd gear on the crf250l was high like a street bike. Now, for some reason, the suspension on my 2024 crf300l is a lot stiffer than the 2018 crf250l I had. The crf250l had a much smoother ride. The crf250l was more comfortable on the road. The crf300l is a better trail oriented bike based on my experience, and the crf250l is better on a road.
I've got a 2022 CRF300L and the bike does everything that I want it to do and I know of nothing it does that I don't want it to do. Perfect bike for me living in the desert Southwest of Arizona on the California border.
I have a 2023 and it’s my first motorcycle at 40! I have rode it in mud, deep water, beach, and highway all in the same day! I thought about getting a bigger tank but just decided to get a 2 gallon rotopax for longer days.
My question is how you compare the 300L and TW200? Are you uncomfortable with how slow the TW is around town and does it feel like it has zero suspension of road? I have been watching a lot of your 300L content trying to decide it I actually want to get one. Had a 250L and really did not like that bike. Sold it and got a WR250r. I really loved the WR but that was some years back when I road harder. I have an Africa Twin for the real road miles and wanted a smaller bike I could put in the truck for camping as well as around town stuff. I have been going back and forth with the 300L and a TW200. Then I saw you on a TW. I know they are very different bikes really but the big thing that holds me back on the TW is speed for the times you have to be on the road, hopping trails or whatever, the suspension also seems really hard, like it BANGS down bump/drop-offs. The 300L seem kinda easy goin like the TW but would be miles ahead for any road riding, and I could sort the suspension. As always really appreciate your feedback and content
It really depends on what type of riding you do, the TW was fun but the suspension it not as good as the 300L, also the TW is not nearly as good on the road especially if you need to ride over 55. The nice part about the TW is that it is short and great in the slow rough rocky stuff. The 300 is tall and more top heavy. Both great bikes
On the road I start out in 2nd gear and ride it like a 5spd. In the woods its 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. This 6spd transmission is the real deal

Great stuff....thinking of getting one in England 🏴

Super sweet! Yea everything you said is exactly what I have experienced also
Boy, the Ozarks sure have changed since I last saw your videos.
Haha yea that’s no joke
100% agree with what you said … love mine 👊💪

Agreed!
Nice to know that Acerbis has an increased volume fuel tank for the bike.
Yes it is, it’s super nice
Cool review I just got a 300L, I sat on it, my sag was about an inch and a half, suspension seems stiff, oh btw, I weigh 120...lol...
Haha yea everyone says it is sof but at 120lb, no problem
@@WOODZMAN Cronic pancreatitis, you can eat all you want doesn't matter...lol
Good morning Frank. Just wondering what Nav. System that you use. Thank you for all your great videos!
I have the Garmin Zumo XT and love it. amzn.to/4dM919f

I have the acerbis 3.6 gallon tank now, best thing I have done to it

Do you have a video on the emissions delete?
Thanks for all these videos you put up!
I sure don’t, I believe there is some people who made videos of it though
@WOODZMAN thank you :)
Where you from anyway?
Sierra Vista now, I’m actually from Missouri
@WOODZMAN I'll have to give it a Google haha I'm from Canada I've never heard of it but it looks beautiful from your videos!
I own a Yamaha SCR950, KTM 390 Duke Mk2 and a Yamaha Aerox 155 scooter. The 155 is getting sold so I can buy a CRF300L.
Sweet
That charcoal cannister was only on the CA models right? Do you have a vid on deleting that?
Can you please share the link to your video about the LED headlights installation?
I don’t have a video of that. Honda didn’t want an install video because they don’t sell them parts on the US market.
@@WOODZMAN Thanks. I get it. I am almost sure I did see some video by someone about that, but I guess it was removed.
I get like 47mpg 😢 on mine
That’s not good, is the air filter clean ?
@@WOODZMAN brand new with 200miles on it now I just drive hard off road the whole time.
@@WOODZMAN 0 to 60 as fast as it can get there 😂😂😂😂
@litty_t4729 oh ok lol
$5300 out the door?! How the hell?! Retail is $5250
Honda of the Ozarks of course that was when the 300L first came out, mine is two years old now
I got my 2021 300 Rally for $6300 out the door.
That is a good price for a rally
