Since you were talking about the yt views of the Mvs, I just wanted to point out that their work may not have as high views/streams on youtube/spotify/apple music in comparison to other popular groups of today, but bear in mind a lot of Exo-Ls are from countries that use various other streaming platforms. For example in China, they dont have youtube and spotify, but Exist album went number 1 on QQ music which has almost 600 million users, that’s actually more than all spotify users worldwide! And that’s just on one app in China 😮 and in Japan, Amazon music and Line music are popular, Spotify only recently got popular there. Monster is one of EXO's best titles, no matter how much time passes whenever I listen to it I get the feeling of "omg what a good song". I love lucky one it's a song that doesn't get boring, now about lotto, I highly recommend watching/listening to the live version, EXO always make good songs even better in the live version
EXO is the king of versatility indeed. They can pull off any genres and concepts (with their vocal prowess they can do literally everything). I am not fond of autotune either but I still love Lotto (for its sexy, swaggy and bad boy vibe). I always prefer the live performance though. It's a must watch. About Monster I think I can't say more than it's the most perfect song for a title track; the song itself, the vocals, the choreography, the MV. As for Lucky One, yes, it's old school but at the same time I feel it's very trendy. I suggest you watch the live too. The EXO members once said they hate the choreography because it's tiring but in fact they always have so much fun and look so happy and energetic when they performed the song.

In case you were wondering, fan theories believe that "Lotto" is the prequel to "Monster." "Monster" is from EXO's EX'Act album and, as mentioned, "Lotto" is from their EX'Act repackaged album. So, to understand the story in "Lotto" and "Monster" you have to connect the two storylines. How I interpret things is that the story starts in "Lotto" as EXO goes undercover and works to take down the gambling ring, which is thought to probably be run by the Red Force. "Monster" and "Lotto" were released in 2016, so there are 9 members in these MVs. As the English lines in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." Therefore, the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc. in "Monster," I think -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- also was supposed to be the members using their superpowers. And the snake, like a monster, mirrors the beat of the song, which kind of slithers like a snake as a metaphor for the way the guy slithers in and out of the relationship stealing warmth and affection from the girl, but in the end, leaving her cold and alone like a cold-blooded snake, etc. The snake is also red, which means that it most likely represents something to do with the Red Force.
However, if you look up the English translation of the "Monster" lyrics, you will see in the song, the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Which could be a metaphor for EXO's connection to the heart of the Tree of Life. Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice, if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography. For example, as mentioned before, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. You see Kai slide backward and forward into the center of the group while waving his arms to represent him teleporting. And when Chanyeol jumps over Lay, Sehun and Xiumin, this could be him using his phoenix fire wings to fly, or it could be showing him leaping over flames because his power is the ability to control fire. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And when they sit on the ground with their one knee in the air and rotate their bodies, it's supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. How "Monster" and "Lotto" tie into EXOs larger storyline is a little open ended, but because "Lotto" is thought to be the prequel to "Monster," I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys who are probably members of the Red Force. I think the two stories in both "Lotto" and "Monster" actually overlap. I think both MVs take place in the same location and around the same time frame, and in each MV you see the members in different moments as they try to destroy everything to do with this gambling ring. You see them breaking everything in both MVs and you see them smash the car in "Lotto," and in "Monster" you see the car has now been set on fire, and they burn the money and other things in "Lotto" as well, etc. "Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Force, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So, that's why you see in "Lotto," and continued in "Monster," the members are fighting against the police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl. However, the members of EXO don't want to be discovered, so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys. At the end of "Lotto," you see the police or FBI have come in and are just starting to take the members into custody, but, as we see in the end of "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape from the back of the police van before they are taken to jail and/or captured by the Red Force, etc. (However, the members who are in the back of the police van are dressed in red, so they may be X-EXO -- EXO's alter ego clones -- and not EXO like we originally thought. Although I'm not sure whether at this point Baekhyun realizes these aren't the EXO members. Or maybe Baekhyun is also a member of X-EXO.) You also see in "Monster," Lay crouched in the middle of what looks like a pile of people -- I'm not sure whether these are the FBI agents, or if these are members of the Red Force -- and I think he is checking to make sure they are OK and possibly trying to use his power of healing to fix things. Because some theories believe that EXO are traveling between time periods and dimensions, I think they also might be showing how some of the members are arriving on scene at different moments in the timeline of events that are taking place -- the members don't necessarily arrive together. For instance, in "Monster" you also see Kai standing on or near a giant pile of people, and he seems to be standing over them. I think this may be showing how Kai has just shown up at that moment and he is observing what has taken place. Because Kai has the power of teleportation, I think he has shown up from a different time or place and is now trying to figure out what has happened, etc.
In EXO's "Obsession" MV, the members in the bright colored clothing with the crazy makeup and hair are supposed to be X-EXO, and the ones in the black or dark colored clothing are supposed to be EXO. So, in the parts where they are dressed in all black in "Monster" I think this is showing EXO, and where you see them in the clothing with red accents, this might by showing X-EXO. However, in "Lotto" they are pretty much in black or dark neutral colors the whole time, so that is why I think "Lotto's" story is being depicted from EXO's point of view. You also may notice that in "Monster," and in parts of "Lotto," Chanyeol has red hair. But at the end of "Lotto" when he is being arrested, he has blond hair. I think this also might mean that the Chanyeol with red hair is his X-EXO clone, while the blond Chanyeol is the good EXO member. Therefore, in "Lotto" and "Monster" I think what we are watching are the EXO members trying to take down X-EXO and the Red Force and stop the evil and corruption that the Red Force is inflicting on the world, which is depicted here as corruption through illegal gambling. The birds you see in the cage in "Lotto" are roosters -- cock fighting roosters to be exact -- and they are another form of gambling. And the dogs are probably guard dogs like what criminal enterprises use as part of their security to deter someone from causing trouble or wanting to rob them, etc. Don't worry, SM and EXO don't like animal cruelty either, that's the whole point they are trying to make. It's just another form of evil that comes with gambling. We are not really sure what the girl takes from Chanyeol at the end of "Lotto", but it definitely wasn't money. If you pay attention to the lyrics, one of the English lines is, "I don't need no money." That is why they burn the huge stack of cash. Most theories agree that the currency that EXO values the most is flowers. There is an overwhelming use of flowers in many of their MVs. My theory is that the girl is somehow connected to EXO's quest to find and protect the Tree of Life and that is why at the end of "Lotto" you see her secretly take something out of Chanyeol's hand -- which if you pause the MV and zoom in, you will see looks like a small video tape -- to somehow help them in their quest. The video tape is thought to be the video that D.O. is filming with the camcorder in the middle of "Lotto." Fun fact: Kai isn't dancing in the "Lotto" MV. As you saw, Lay and Sehun are the dancers highlighted in "Lotto." Kai was injured during this time and couldn't dance, which is why you see him sitting down in the MV. In live TV network performances of "Lotto" you might also notice that they change the title of the song to "Louder" and the lyrics are changed to use the word louder instead of lotto as well. Gambling is illegal in Korea and it's one of those things that are banned from being talked about in mainstream media. So, in order to make the song TV- and radio-friendly they often have to change everything to "Louder."
Lay is indeed not appreciated enough. He is one of the most well rounded artists out there. He works hard on anything he decides to do. EXO is just so refreshing and different. They made me love music again

If you are trying to understand what is happening in "Lucky One," you have to remember the fact that everything EXO does is connected. So, in order to piece their story together, you have to be aware of what was happening in some of their other MVs. I think the story in "Lucky One" takes place right after the story in their "Overdose" MV. In "Overdose" they were trapped in the maze by the Red Force and the maze caused them to be disoriented and prevented them from using their powers at full strength. Somehow the maze lowered their defenses, which allowed the Red Force to capture them and take them to the lab where we see them in "Lucky One." I think sometime between when the "Overdose" MV ends and "Lucky One" begins, the Red Force transferred EXO from the rooms we see them in "Overdose" to wherever they are in "Lucky One." As we discovered at the end, they are all still within the same maze. Therefore, the story in the "Lucky One" MV has to do with the fact that they have been captured by the Red Force and are being held against their will in a lab where the Red Force are trying to do experiments on them, in order to figure out what makes EXO different, or to figure out how to control them, or to figure out how to prevent them from having their connection to the Tree of Life, or maybe, even figure out how to clone them like we see has happened in their "Obsession" MV, etc. TThey are each using their powers, such as Chanyeol using his power of fire, D.O. makes the windows break with his power of force, Chen zaps the women with his power of electricity, Kai teleports from room to room and Suho uses his power of controlling water to try and reverse the chemicals from entering his body from the IV bag, etc. We also see D.O. struggling as he tries to use his super strength to break free from his restraints when he is lying in the bed. In the Korean version, we see Suho trapped in that room that looks like it is filled with smoke, but because Suho has the power to control water, I think the room is really filled with steam or fog and the Red Force is experimenting with ways to get rid of his powers, etc. And, if you watch the Mandarin version, you will see Xiumin trapped in that room. Xiumin is a member of EXO-M and he has the power to control snow/ice/frost, which makes him Suho's power counterpart and gives him some of the same natural elements when it comes to their powers. Fun fact: We see Xiumin create a drinking glass made out of ice that Suho fills with water for them to drink from as they try to escape. As the members are working to escape, you see Baekhyun struggles to summon his power -- which is the ability to control light -- because he was given a darkness poison. The black liquid you see the nurse lady inject into the IV was attached to Baekhyun and it is thought they were injecting him with darkness to stop his ability to control light, which causes him to quickly sit up in bed as he is awakened from his drugged sleep state. If you notice, when Baekhyun is trying to break out and he is standing in that dark room with Chanyeol, Chanyeol has to use his power of fire to light the way, because the theory is that Baekhyun is unable to access his power of light due to the drugs that are currently in his system. Chanyeol has red hair in this MV because it's connected to the fact that he also has red hair in EXO's "Monster" MV. I have a feeling his red hair is an indication that he may not be the EXO version of Chanyeol, but he could be the X-EXO alter ego clone created by the Red Force, or the Red Force could be controlling him in order to infiltrate EXO and gain secrets, etc. The women are robots, and they are part of the Red Forces' arsenal -- that is why you see them wearing those red visors. This explains why Chen is able to electrocute them and they just fall down and stop working, and why they are able to explode their heads in a puff of smoke, etc. Sehun controls wind, so he was able to use wind to push the robots over and deactivate them, etc. Because they are using their powers, they don't have to touch them to defeat them. In EXO's MVs when you see red light or anything that is red, this represents the Red Force, and when you see blue light or anything that is blue, this is thought to represent EXO. Therefore, when you see red and blue in one scene, or purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- this is showing how the line between the two sides is being blurred and they are fighting each other, etc. Lay was able to use his power of healing to deactivate the robot woman because he tricks her into short circuiting by getting her to focus on the beauty of the flower. Lay has the ability to heal anything that is living -- including bringing flowers back to life. :D Chen's image is being projected on the movie screen behind him because some theories think that this connects to EXO's "Love Shot" MV, as well as their "For Life" MV. In "Love Shot" we see the members in a movie theater and they are in a trance staring at the movie screen. We think whatever is being played on the movie screen is connected to the Red Force. It is thought the Red Force is using the movie to keep the members brainwashed and incapacitated so they don't try to fight back and escape from the maze that they are trapped in. And you see Suho being controlled by the images on the movie screen in their "For Life" MV, etc. (Now we even think it could be connected to the scene with Chen and Xiumin in the theater in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV.) You see Kai with those dance breaks because, one of the theories is, it's his job to distract the robots so the other members have a chance to use their powers, and it gives them time to figure out how to escape. If you pay attention to Kai's dance, you might notice that the dance he was doing in "Lucky One" was the choreography to "Monster." As you can see, this was a little Easter egg that SM used to give us secret clues that make connections between the two MVs. "Lucky One" and "Monster" are from the same album and both MVs were released back-to-back. However, there are subtle things in all of EXOs MVs that, if you are paying close attention, you will see things that are hidden messages and clues that give nods to other moments in other MVs. "Lucky One" and "Monster" are from EXO's Ex'Act album and the MVs were actually both released on the same day, June 9, 2016. So, they were the two songs that were promoted together. Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline and their origin story, including every single one of their MVs, most of their sub-unit MVs, Solo MVs, live performances and choreography, as well as teaser videos and concert VCRs. Nothing is random or done without a specific purpose and meaning and it's our job as fans to piece it all together. However, most of the time the story in the lyrics of the song is separate from the story in the MV. EXO's songs are about being in love with a girl or wanting to be with a girl, but their MVs are about them battling the Red Force and about telling the next piece of their storyline. What makes EXO even more complicated, is you have to view their MV as loosely based around their song lyrics, but also separate. Just as their storyline is thought to be based on the fact that each comeback may be a different dimension or era of EXO's story, you also have to analyze their story in the lyrics of their songs separate from the story in the MV, but be prepared to make connections between the two as well. (I know, confusing, right?) Even though you don't see any choreography in the "Lucky One" MV, they have choreography that goes with the song. Because they promoted with this song on music shows, they had to have a dance. The funny thing about Lucky One, and someone can correct me if I'm off, is that, if I remember correctly, they didn't really know what to do with Kai's teleportation powers in the the MV. So either they just told Kai to dance, or like you said, "when in doubt, just dance" and Kai just went for it and started doing the Monster choreo 😂

How I interpret things is that the story starts in "Lotto" as EXO goes undercover and works to take down the gambling ring, which is thought to probably be run by the Red Force.
"Monster" and "Lotto" were released in 2016, so there are 9 members in these MVs.
As the English lines in "Monster" say ... They're "Creeping, Creeping Creeping .... Creeping in your heart babe" "You can call me Monster (because) I'm creeping in your heart babe." "She got me goin' crazy." The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo."
Therefore, the floating watch and the car that is on fire in reverse, etc. in "Monster," I think -- on top of being a metaphor in the story -- also was supposed to be the members using their superpowers. And the snake, like a monster, mirrors the beat of the song, which kind of slithers like a snake as a metaphor for the way the guy slithers in and out of the relationship stealing warmth and affection from the girl, but in the end, leaving her cold and alone like a cold-blooded snake, etc. The snake is also red, which means that it most likely represents something to do with the Red Force.
However, if you look up the English translation of the "Monster" lyrics, you will see in the song, the members are talking about a girl and they are telling the girl that "You can call me Monster" because I know I am bad for you and I will ruin you. I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Which could be a metaphor for EXO's connection to the heart of the Tree of Life.
Also, the majority of the choreography for "Monster" has to do with the members using their powers, so when/if you watch the dance practice, if you know what you are looking for, you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. The X they make to represent EXO is only the beginning of the story in their choreography.
For example, as mentioned before, D.O. has the power of super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. When you see Suho in the middle of the group and they have a hold of his arms, he rotates his body around like swirling water because Suho has the power to control water. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. You see Kai slide backward and forward into the center of the group while waving his arms to represent him teleporting. And when Chanyeol jumps over Lay, Sehun and Xiumin, this could be him using his phoenix fire wings to fly, or it could be showing him leaping over flames because his power is the ability to control fire. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And when they sit on the ground with their one knee in the air and rotate their bodies, it's supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun.
How "Monster" and "Lotto" tie into EXOs larger storyline is a little open ended, but because "Lotto" is thought to be the prequel to "Monster," I think the story starts out in "Lotto" where the members have somehow infiltrated this big gambling ring and are undercover as they work to uncover a clue or something they need in order to accomplish their tasks here on Earth. I think the underground gambling establishment is run by a gang of bad guys who are probably members of the Red Force.
I think the two stories in both "Lotto" and "Monster" actually overlap. I think both MVs take place in the same location and around the same time frame, and in each MV you see the members in different moments as they try to destroy everything to do with this gambling ring. You see them breaking everything in both MVs and you see them smash the car in "Lotto," and in "Monster" you see the car has now been set on fire, and they burn the money and other things in "Lotto" as well, etc.
"Lotto" is where we are introduced to a girl who is being held captive. And ultimately, I think what EXO are trying to do is rescue the girl from the Red Force, but they are trying to do it without blowing their cover or being found out. So, that's why you see in "Lotto," and continued in "Monster," the members are fighting against the police because the police have come in to take down the gambling ring and rescue the girl. However, the members of EXO don't want to be discovered, so they play along as if they are part of the bad guys.
At the end of "Lotto," you see the police or FBI have come in and are just starting to take the members into custody, but, as we see in the end of "Monster," Baekhyun disguises himself as one of the police and helps the other members escape from the back of the police van before they are taken to jail and/or captured by the Red Force, etc. (However, the members who are in the back of the police van are dressed in red, so they may be X-EXO -- EXO's alter ego clones -- and not EXO like we originally thought. Although I'm not sure whether at this point Baekhyun realizes these aren't the EXO members. Or maybe Baekhyun is also a member of X-EXO.)
You also see in "Monster," Lay crouched in the middle of what looks like a pile of people -- I'm not sure whether these are the FBI agents, or if these are members of the Red Force -- and I think he is checking to make sure they are OK and possibly trying to use his power of healing to fix things.
Because some theories believe that EXO are traveling between time periods and dimensions, I think they also might be showing how some of the members are arriving on scene at different moments in the timeline of events that are taking place -- the members don't necessarily arrive together. For instance, in "Monster" you also see Kai standing on or near a giant pile of people, and he seems to be standing over them. I think this may be showing how Kai has just shown up at that moment and he is observing what has taken place. Because Kai has the power of teleportation, I think he has shown up from a different time or place and is now trying to figure out what has happened, etc.
In EXO's "Obsession" MV, the members in the bright colored clothing with the crazy makeup and hair are supposed to be X-EXO, and the ones in the black or dark colored clothing are supposed to be EXO. So, in the parts where they are dressed in all black in "Monster" I think this is showing EXO, and where you see them in the clothing with red accents, this might by showing X-EXO. However, in "Lotto" they are pretty much in black or dark neutral colors the whole time, so that is why I think "Lotto's" story is being depicted from EXO's point of view.
You also may notice that in "Monster," and in parts of "Lotto," Chanyeol has red hair. But at the end of "Lotto" when he is being arrested, he has blond hair. I think this also might mean that the Chanyeol with red hair is his X-EXO clone, while the blond Chanyeol is the good EXO member.
Therefore, in "Lotto" and "Monster" I think what we are watching are the EXO members trying to take down X-EXO and the Red Force and stop the evil and corruption that the Red Force is inflicting on the world, which is depicted here as corruption through illegal gambling.
The birds you see in the cage in "Lotto" are roosters -- cock fighting roosters to be exact -- and they are another form of gambling. And the dogs are probably guard dogs like what criminal enterprises use as part of their security to deter someone from causing trouble or wanting to rob them, etc. Don't worry, SM and EXO don't like animal cruelty either, that's the whole point they are trying to make. It's just another form of evil that comes with gambling.
We are not really sure what the girl takes from Chanyeol at the end of "Lotto", but it definitely wasn't money. If you pay attention to the lyrics, one of the English lines is, "I don't need no money." That is why they burn the huge stack of cash. Most theories agree that the currency that EXO values the most is flowers. There is an overwhelming use of flowers in many of their MVs.
My theory is that the girl is somehow connected to EXO's quest to find and protect the Tree of Life and that is why at the end of "Lotto" you see her secretly take something out of Chanyeol's hand -- which if you pause the MV and zoom in, you will see looks like a small video tape -- to somehow help them in their quest. The video tape is thought to be the video that D.O. is filming with the camcorder in the middle of "Lotto."
Fun fact: Kai isn't dancing in the "Lotto" MV. As you saw, Lay and Sehun are the dancers highlighted in "Lotto." Kai was injured during this time and couldn't dance, which is why you see him sitting down in the MV. In live TV network performances of "Lotto" you might also notice that they change the title of the song to "Louder" and the lyrics are changed to use the word louder instead of lotto as well. Gambling is illegal in Korea and it's one of those things that are banned from being talked about in mainstream media. So, in order to make the song TV- and radio-friendly they often have to change everything to "Louder."

If you are trying to understand what is happening in "Lucky One," you have to remember the fact that everything EXO does is connected. So, in order to piece their story together, you have to be aware of what was happening in some of their other MVs. I think the story in "Lucky One" takes place right after the story in their "Overdose" MV.
In "Overdose" they were trapped in the maze by the Red Force and the maze caused them to be disoriented and prevented them from using their powers at full strength. Somehow the maze lowered their defenses, which allowed the Red Force to capture them and take them to the lab where we see them in "Lucky One."
I think sometime between when the "Overdose" MV ends and "Lucky One" begins, the Red Force transferred EXO from the rooms we see them in "Overdose" to wherever they are in "Lucky One." As we discovered at the end, they are all still within the same maze. Therefore, the story in the "Lucky One" MV has to do with the fact that they have been captured by the Red Force and are being held against their will in a lab where the Red Force are trying to do experiments on them, in order to figure out what makes EXO different, or to figure out how to control them, or to figure out how to prevent them from having their connection to the Tree of Life, or maybe, even figure out how to clone them like we see has happened in their "Obsession" MV, etc.
TThey are each using their powers, such as Chanyeol using his power of fire, D.O. makes the windows break with his power of force, Chen zaps the women with his power of electricity, Kai teleports from room to room and Suho uses his power of controlling water to try and reverse the chemicals from entering his body from the IV bag, etc.
We also see D.O. struggling as he tries to use his super strength to break free from his restraints when he is lying in the bed.
In the Korean version, we see Suho trapped in that room that looks like it is filled with smoke, but because Suho has the power to control water, I think the room is really filled with steam or fog and the Red Force is experimenting with ways to get rid of his powers, etc. And, if you watch the Mandarin version, you will see Xiumin trapped in that room. Xiumin is a member of EXO-M and he has the power to control snow/ice/frost, which makes him Suho's power counterpart and gives him some of the same natural elements when it comes to their powers.
Fun fact: We see Xiumin create a drinking glass made out of ice that Suho fills with water for them to drink from as they try to escape.
As the members are working to escape, you see Baekhyun struggles to summon his power -- which is the ability to control light -- because he was given a darkness poison. The black liquid you see the nurse lady inject into the IV was attached to Baekhyun and it is thought they were injecting him with darkness to stop his ability to control light, which causes him to quickly sit up in bed as he is awakened from his drugged sleep state. If you notice, when Baekhyun is trying to break out and he is standing in that dark room with Chanyeol, Chanyeol has to use his power of fire to light the way, because the theory is that Baekhyun is unable to access his power of light due to the drugs that are currently in his system.
Chanyeol has red hair in this MV because it's connected to the fact that he also has red hair in EXO's "Monster" MV. I have a feeling his red hair is an indication that he may not be the EXO version of Chanyeol, but he could be the X-EXO alter ego clone created by the Red Force, or the Red Force could be controlling him in order to infiltrate EXO and gain secrets, etc.
The women are robots, and they are part of the Red Forces' arsenal -- that is why you see them wearing those red visors. This explains why Chen is able to electrocute them and they just fall down and stop working, and why they are able to explode their heads in a puff of smoke, etc. Sehun controls wind, so he was able to use wind to push the robots over and deactivate them, etc. Because they are using their powers, they don't have to touch them to defeat them.
In EXO's MVs when you see red light or anything that is red, this represents the Red Force, and when you see blue light or anything that is blue, this is thought to represent EXO. Therefore, when you see red and blue in one scene, or purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- this is showing how the line between the two sides is being blurred and they are fighting each other, etc.
Lay was able to use his power of healing to deactivate the robot woman because he tricks her into short circuiting by getting her to focus on the beauty of the flower. Lay has the ability to heal anything that is living -- including bringing flowers back to life. :D
Chen's image is being projected on the movie screen behind him because some theories think that this connects to EXO's "Love Shot" MV, as well as their "For Life" MV. In "Love Shot" we see the members in a movie theater and they are in a trance staring at the movie screen. We think whatever is being played on the movie screen is connected to the Red Force. It is thought the Red Force is using the movie to keep the members brainwashed and incapacitated so they don't try to fight back and escape from the maze that they are trapped in. And you see Suho being controlled by the images on the movie screen in their "For Life" MV, etc. (Now we even think it could be connected to the scene with Chen and Xiumin in the theater in EXO's new "Let Me In" MV.)
You see Kai with those dance breaks because, one of the theories is, it's his job to distract the robots so the other members have a chance to use their powers, and it gives them time to figure out how to escape.
If you pay attention to Kai's dance, you might notice that the dance he was doing in "Lucky One" was the choreography to "Monster." As you can see, this was a little Easter egg that SM used to give us secret clues that make connections between the two MVs. "Lucky One" and "Monster" are from the same album and both MVs were released back-to-back. However, there are subtle things in all of EXOs MVs that, if you are paying close attention, you will see things that are hidden messages and clues that give nods to other moments in other MVs.
"Lucky One" and "Monster" are from EXO's Ex'Act album and the MVs were actually both released on the same day, June 9, 2016. So, they were the two songs that were promoted together.
Everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline and their origin story, including every single one of their MVs, most of their sub-unit MVs, Solo MVs, live performances and choreography, as well as teaser videos and concert VCRs. Nothing is random or done without a specific purpose and meaning and it's our job as fans to piece it all together.
However, most of the time the story in the lyrics of the song is separate from the story in the MV. EXO's songs are about being in love with a girl or wanting to be with a girl, but their MVs are about them battling the Red Force and about telling the next piece of their storyline.
What makes EXO even more complicated, is you have to view their MV as loosely based around their song lyrics, but also separate. Just as their storyline is thought to be based on the fact that each comeback may be a different dimension or era of EXO's story, you also have to analyze their story in the lyrics of their songs separate from the story in the MV, but be prepared to make connections between the two as well. (I know, confusing, right?)
Even though you don't see any choreography in the "Lucky One" MV, they have choreography that goes with the song. Because they promoted with this song on music shows, they had to have a dance. The funny thing about Lucky One, and someone can correct me if I'm off, is that, if I remember correctly, they didn't really know what to do with Kai's teleportation powers in the the MV. So either they just told Kai to dance, or like you said, "when in doubt, just dance" and Kai just went for it and started doing the Monster choreo 😂

"LOTTO" album is a repackaged version of their "EXACT" album with songs added. After the "Obsession" album, "Lotto" is my all time favorite album.
