It is very scenic. It is not so easy for me to get here and on normal days they do not run two trains. I will go again on one of their event days and have more of a look round there is quite a lot to see at the stations
It sure does sound good. A lot don't care much for small locos. I really like these industrial types so was not disappointed I did not get to ride on the class 33. The model show was small but some good layouts so I enjoyed that too, and nice to see the guys from the model shop.
It is worth having a look round, the stations are all nicely restored and exhibits in them. It was my first ride on the line and more scenic than I was expecting, even though I know the area from many years ago and remember it being a goods line.
Hi mate at last I can reply to your video's now as I have bought a new Laptop. Really nice video I hop they make it back to Redmire soon . I gather the present track isn't up to standard and will need replacing before that can happen.
Hi Denis Ah I was wondering where you were and was going to email. I saw Roberto and he said he saw you not long ago, Glad you got your new laptop set up. I have not ridden on this line before and found it very scenic. Not sure what they plan to do about extending the line, at the moment they are short of volunteers and money so buying new track will be hard. What is a shame is just now Network rail are scrapping a lot of good track doing upgrade work, which somewhere like here could make good use of. The track they have feels smooth although the driver on WL4 said he was thrown about all over when the class 14 dragged him back, I thought we were going fast but found those locos could run at 50kph around 31mph so they were not as I thought limited to 08 kind of speed.
