Just for clarity this is a new upload of the original. The original upload had some editing errors that I wasn't happy with, no copyright trouble luckily (crossing my fingers) but the errors were eating away at my soul so I figured it was better to cut my losses and reupload a new version while the video is still young. The original has been de-listed (and retitled to EX Edition) but it's still accessible via a link in the video description so all your comments are still there (and I've read em all, thanks for taking the time to share your capcom stories/memories and any kind words) Apologies for any confusion and thanks so much for watching :)
I'm glad I watched the OG and I've got so many stories I didn't even know what to comment, so I just praised your work lol also, this list for each PS1 developer... Man that's a hell of an amazing series and content idea you've got there 🔥 I hope to see more for namco enix konami square for instance in the future 🤤 Edit: Truly. Your channel makes me stop watching stuff in 2x speed and I enjoyed every second of those 6+ hours❤️ what a feat fr
Fair enough... I automatically assumed it was a copyright strike when I saw this got re-uploaded until you said. (I guess it's so common on here, that's what I jump to!) For those of us who did watch the original video, maybe you could just share a list of the changes made? Or at least any notable ones?
Oh! A Director's Cut of the original? Nice! I'm hoping for a third upload soon with analogue support and a banging soundtrack from Mamoru Samuragochi. You love to see it.
Sean, you are by far my favourite creator on this website at this point. I can't stress enough the amount of joy your videos bring to me, as they are lighthearted while still being funny, very well researched (seriously, feels like even for the most obscure Japanese games you've got some insane trivia to say), and it genuinely shows that you do these for the passion of doing it. Please keep on doing a great job, you are one of the all-time greats on this platform and every video feels like you still manage to improve. As someone would say, you love to see it. Also, thanks for the cat footage as always. They really love the games as much as you do, for sure.
im gonna just subscribe by faith at 0:17 knowing theres over 6 hours of coverage to go through in this video. will comment when i have watched through just to show respect for effort and time taken to make it.
This is a very informative and entertaining video. Can you do "A Look AT EVERY Capcom PS2 Game" as a video. It would be nice to see how capcom changed in the 00s. The PS1 games are so good, and it would be worth seeing how the quality changed in only a few short years.
I recognize that the planning, footage collection, recording, and editing is a monumental task for any video much less one as impressively long and impeccably produced as this one, but I cannot deny that my favorite part of the "Look at Every" series might be the random "anyway" segues from one game to the next.
Reposting this from the OG video: If there are any other Fox Hunt fans out there (There are dozens of us...DOZENS!) and you have a complete English language version of the movie in your possession, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME. I am looking to make sure it gets preserved. I am the guy who, with the help of others listed in the video description of what I am about to mention, got the Fox Hunt Movie stitched together into an English version. If you want to remain anonymous that is absolutely fine, but please reach out and I would love to help!
So i randomly decided to watch this again while browsing the Internet. Then, I saw an article about how the one person whose career you followed in this video, Hideaki Itsuno, is leaving Capcom.
your description of how RE goes from spooky horror to a big old fun puzzle box is spot on. Absolutely love getting better with each playthrough, eventually "speed running" through. Also yes, tank controls are beast. Honestly feel tank control haters are just dog shite
this is a really great video, when you said capcom is what makes people fall in love with games at the end, it made me think back to mega man 2, one of the first games i ever played. thanks for making this its very cool
I have fond Memories of Megaman Battle & Chase. Was my first Megaman game too :) I appreciate that every game gets a rather lengthy spotlight in your videos. Thank you!
My favorite thing about Tokuro Fujiwara in particular is that every time Capcom decides to make a new Ghosts & Goblins game, they always go out of their way to get Fujiwara back to oversee/direct it. Even GnG Resurrection had his involvement.
PSA: Guys make sure to subscribe, this guy is so criminally underrated. Once the algorithm picks him up he may have even more time to put towards the videos.
I remember back when you were starting out, you swore about Hugo having a frog fighter... now you can't get enough of them. you've truly grown, lad. proud of ye. 🐸☘🍺
Only recently found your channel and I have to say it's already one of my favourites. The amount of research you must put in must be huge. Currently going through your developer series of videos and loving every minute. Keep up the great work and thanks for all your efforts!
Capcom (along with Squaresoft and Konami) basically defined my PS1 years. Watching this video was both a trip down memory lane and, like you mentioned, almost a spiritual journey. I wish I could go back in time and live in the 90s forever.
So part of me wonders what the next company is going to be for this annual series of videos, Midway? Konami? Hudson Soft? Ubisoft? I always look forward to these videos, also this is a great tribute to Capcom's time on the PS1.
"Mega Man" is one of my favourite game series, specifically the classic series. 4, 7, 9, and 10 are especially fun, well-designed games, but I still get good enjoyment from 1, 3, and 6 (I haven't played 11 yet). The other "Mega Man" series' I've only dabbled at. From what I messed about with, I would love to own X1 and the Legends trio someday. But then there's X5, X6, and X7, which make me cringe by simply thinking about them. Oh, well. They can't all be winners. "Resident Evil" is one of my favourite games to play during October. I love me an unsettling fixed-camera survival horror adventure game. 🧡
id like to say that as a kid i played RE1 when going through my aunt's ps1 collection in her basement. i didnt even make it past the fucking intro cutscene before i ran upstairs
Luckily not a copyright strike (yet) i just left some shoddy editing errors in the original and wasn't happy with it so had to reupload. Otherwise everything should be the same :)
Six hours of pure, nostalgic Capcom and PS1 bliss for me? Yep, it was worth the six hours of my life. 😎 Jokes aside, thank you for making this amazing yet long video! And as someone who has deep ties with Nintendo and PlayStation’s old days with 1 and 2, seeing tons of Capcom games that I’m familiar with and I never heard of just felt enjoyable to watch! And that little speech at the end just felt empowering to me given that I appreciate Capcom even if the company had a few screw ups in the past and even as of now with some of the usual AAA gaming shenanigans. Mate, if you’re reading this comment, THANK YOU so much for this video! You legit got a subscriber to your channel and to indulge in your videos in my spare time! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff! Much love from a Brazilian viewer! Muito obrigado companheiro! ☺️💙
I don't comment on videos a lot, but I was compelled to leave one after binging your "Every X PS1 Game" videos. As someone who shares the same level of love as you do when it comes to the original PlayStation, I just want to say that these videos and your channel have made me very happy these past few days. I can't wait to see the "EVERY Konami PS1 Game" in the future, which would contain most of my favorite games from the console.
As a huge Mega Man: Battle & Chase fan who makes music using the same sounds, I loved watching you talk about it. My friend and I have been planning on making a fan game for it. I think that it was my first experience with a Mega Man game and I would have loved to see a sequel for it, but it was never meant to be.
Pretty sweet mountain of information, I gotta say. As if I don't have enough games to sift through, now I'm gonna have to re-poke my nose at more PS1 gems, huh. Guess it's time for me to take names!
What an incredible video! The care and attention to detail is outstanding. I just finished watching the original when I saw this new version was uploaded, so kudos to your commitment to release the best version possible. One minor detail I’d like to point out, you mentioned that Ran Hibiki from Rival Schools was rumoured to be Dan Hibiki’s sister, which indeed was rumoured for a long time based on the appearance of his then unnamed sister in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, but his actual sister was formally introduced in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, as the girl who runs the in-game shop, named Yuriko Hibiki. It’s possible that Ran is still related to them too, but we don’t have any additional information about that to my knowledge.
Congratulations, my good fellow, you continue to release some of the best videos this platform has to offer. And as someone who's been here for over 15 years at this point I don't say that lightly!
Now that a real piece of art! As a retro gamer, I want to say a huge thank you for such a colossal work. Made with love and soul. When I was a child and went to school, here in my country in Russia, original games for PlayStation were a very expensive pleasure. And the language barrier did not give a Russian guy many chances to play games in English. The price and language were a very high barrier for me then. Only thanks to the pirates who made underground and bad translations and cheaper versions of the game allowed me to at least slightly touch the world of games that was somewhere out there, far away. And now, almost 20 years later, I want to return to the old games that I missed then, learn everything about them and finally enjoy them. Thank you for this tour into my childhood and that feeling of the magic of old games. I wish you success in your work!
Before you posted the original, I was just thinking "I could really do with a bit of Sean Seanson right about now" but I wasn't expecting a huge video about Playstation era Capcom games. You are truly spoiling us. I was obsessed with anything Capcom back in those days especially Rival Schools, any Street Fighter and Tech Romancer on the Dreamcast. Couldn't play them to save myself but the storylines, characters, music etc were enough to captivate me. Thank you so much for this gem of a video.
My guy, your video thumbnail game is top shelve. I see your stuff pop up in my recommendations all the time and i just click because it just looks fantastic.
My guy, this video was amazing, I didn't get to see the original one but I'm glad you re-uploaded it! This has been my go-to video to watch while getting ready for work every morning for the past week, and I really appreciate all the work you do. Shout out from Brazil!
Many thanks for making this beast of a video! Capcom is responsible for many of our favourite childhood video games. As I'm getting older, I appreciate them even more, because along with Konami, they were the masters of 2D pixel art and they tried to keep these types of games alive as long as possible! It would be wonderful if you 'll do a similar video for Konami, sometime in the future.
Perhaps your best video yet, fantastic stuff. Don't beat yourself up about the errors - I only spotted 3 in a 6.5 hour video, which is impressive going really.
I've never really considered playing the Megaman Legends games but you've definitely sold me on them. I thought they were just 3D Megaman but it seems like there's heart there with the appealing characters and colourful world. I just wish there was some kind of official release I could support.
THANK YOU for spending so much time on the Megaman Legends franchise!!!!!! these games are so dear to me!! (even if the camera controls in Legends 1 have taken years off my life...) Also thank you for mentioning BOF V dragon quarter !!!!!!!!!!! this game does not get enough praise
3:02:00 You know there IS a game that may or may not take inspiration from a friend I heard, but you might have to wait until next year to see what it is *wink wink*. Also the big innovation with the game is that it's actually one of if not, THE first co-op shmups ever released, beating even TwinBee to the punch. Just gotta say though, huge Capcom fan, and I REALLY hope this video brings some more attention for potential English patches.
I adore these videos, Sean genuinely seems exited about game history and legacy, and don’t scoff at the absurd like so many UA-camrs do, but think it’s just the coolest fucking thing! Cheers and keep them coming!🎉
This is a really impressive and well done look at all these different games and series and pretty much nailed it in covering them all. I think what's crazy is that I think you're the only one I've seen cover the Guyferd game that nobody I think is aware of. Guyferd is one of those interesting collabs between Tokusatsu and Game companies, there's quite a few of those and thankfully it's a really dope show. I think capcom's most defining games on the system were definitely the mega man games, Dino Crisis 2, The breath of fire games, and especially resident evil. It really was one of their best eras and I think you really hit the nail on the head in regards to summing them up in the end. I don't think I've seen many talk about how the end of the arcade era was a huge change in shift for them in regards to them transitioning to the 2000s with their games, which I think might have been one of their best eras and 2000 was just the start of that. I share similar sentiments in regarding capcom and where there are now, cause I think them doing new IPs and preserving their old games would be really nice to see over re-doing what they already did and relying on the same 3 series. Honestly the only ones I'd want to see continued on is Lost planet and Sengoku basara, but I don't see that happening. Exoprimal I think was a cool game that could have been better, kunitsu gami looks cool, and pragmata looks interesting. Still this was a great video and a nice trip back to an era where capcom was at an all time high.
I'm getting to this late due to being on holiday but man oh man was this a terrific video. I never really thought about how much Capcom contributed to my love of gaming but watching this kept putting a smile on face seeing all the games I played as kid and things I got to probably too late. I love Dino Crisis and Resi to death and both Breath of Fire games on PS1 are some of my favourites. Heck, I'm awful at fighting games but I love giving the Street Fighter games a go just to see and hear how brilliant they are. I clearly have to get to the Mega Man games now, haha.
For me this is the best kind of videos in whole UA-cam, it's pure magic Thabks A Lot!!! But i think the video was kinda short, viewing every game in that mino thing would have been cool, but in general its a fantastic 10/19 video muchas gracias!!!
Watching this after finally catching up with your whole channel, damn you have given me such gold. You were the final push I needed to hack my psx with an SD card reader and I've been playing through Tobal 1 quest mode after it never left my brain with your review of it. That applies now to a ton of psx and even other games you covered, and my backlog is dying, but I love it. Also, how happy were you to see power stone 1 and 2, vs snk and project justice will be in the next capcom fighting collection? Now to complete your nostradamus powers, we need that Survival Horror collection........
Finally finished the video; amazing work as always Sean, you really are inspiration as someone making video game content! I've been looking into the Secret Files Capcom were putting out around this same time and Iefinitely echo your ending sentiments a lot, the whole thing is basically just a giant IP graveyard. Capcom really are sitting on some of the most fun and creative franchises ever made and it's just really sad to see. Regardlss, I'm super excited to see what you do next!
I have been watching this video in and out with my brother and is absolutely the best explained, show, organized well written video, I'm hook can't wait to jump to your other videos. Absolutely great job🎉
So, here is my comment from last time: Phew, so I "finally" made it. This is such a fun and informative video! Loved every second of it. Now I have to admit that Capcom PS1 game collection is ridiculously small, only having X2 (which probably doesn't count, as it is the PAL version), Darkstalkers 3 and Breath of Fire IV (which, as I wrote on Twitter, bought for the intro) and BoF IV is by far my fav PS1 game of my, eh, relatively small PS1 games collection. You became even more likeable for saying the Dreamcast is your favourite console and for giving the NGPC a shoutout (one of my fav handhelds, although I wish games wouldn't be so hard to get and not so expensive). Heh, I also learned about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure because of that fighting game by Capcom. When I first time saw One Piece Mansion (not in this video) I also thought it is a One Piece game. So anyways, it is time! Kitty spotting time! \O/ 29:03 Luna 1:49:35 Luna 2:57:00 Cat as desktop background 4:09:55 Honey and Luna (sniffing each other?) 4:55:28 Luna 5:07:47 Honey 5:07:49 Luna 5:23:53 Honey 5:47:09 Honey (although one can see more of Honey at 5:47:13) 6:05:44 Luna Maybe I have missed some and I didn't count all the cats in video games, otherwise I would've had to write down every time the cats in the background of that Street Fighter Alpha stage. Anyways, every Konami PS1 game next?
Great to hear from you again, dude! I was getting a little worried the wheel might have stopped providing. Coming away from this video with some very interesting new ideas for what games to try, as usual. By the way, your accent is great and let no one convince you otherwise.
I'm rewatching and I think the 90s was considered the "Capcom Renaissance" for the sheer amount of fighters and experimental games on the PS1 compaired to the dry 00s! I am waiting for that Capcom PS2 video of the 00s I would love to hear your voice on the matter and issue!
Absolutely fantastic video, mate - gonna go into regular rotation for me, this one! Also, respect for being a fellow Mega Man 8 lover - truly a man of culture
Great job with an amazing video. As a speedrunner of the Mega Man Legends series, I'm super happy you enjoyed the games and I hope others do too. But personally, I don't think there will ever be a MML3 :(
I would absolutely love to see you jump onto the PS2 a bit. I definitely gotta say, you're doing a great job with the PlayStation content. It's very high quality, different, and captured a cool vibe I absolutely love.

Nothing wrong with that. Screw-ups happen here and there.
You should have called this reupload, Hyper Ultra Turbo Championship Edition.
Fair enough... I automatically assumed it was a copyright strike when I saw this got re-uploaded until you said. (I guess it's so common on here, that's what I jump to!)
For those of us who did watch the original video, maybe you could just share a list of the changes made? Or at least any notable ones?
I can think of no better tribute to Capcom's history than this video getting a re-release.
I'll have a Turbo edition out next year
@@SeanSeanson please let us know when you start the legends series

I love that you always give a little sample of the soundtracks. It's something so many reviewers overlook, but very important for games.
Video re-released before Megaman Legends, what a timeline we live in.

Couldn't play them to save myself but the storylines, characters, music etc were enough to captivate me. Thank you so much for this gem of a video.
Thanks for the reminder of how good Tron Bonne and her family are as designs and characters
Well with the recent news, that part about Itsuno's career and Capcom losing staff suddenly become pretty relevant...
Recommenting - Capcom games have been closest to me, so this video was a HUGE treat.
Cheers!
My guy, your video thumbnail game is top shelve. I see your stuff pop up in my recommendations all the time and i just click because it just looks fantastic.
Me: Ok, I'm an hour in.
Sean: That's not even a quarter, lad.
My guy, this video was amazing, I didn't get to see the original one but I'm glad you re-uploaded it! This has been my go-to video to watch while getting ready for work every morning for the past week, and I really appreciate all the work you do. Shout out from Brazil!
Appreciate you watching, much love to you and Brazil 🙏
Really awesome video. So much work was put into it so I have to show my appreciation.
You're too kind, thank you! 🙏
Always look forward to these getting re-uploaded, they're so cozy.
Great video as always mate!!! Thank you for your dedication to making extremely high-quality content!
There's a reason the RE save themes have 10hr loops on UA-cam.. that sense of bliss.. is etched in your memory ❤❤❤
Took me 6 days but finally finished it.
Took me two weeks. Kinda like a Netflix show (but actually entertaining)
Woah Sean Seansons Capcom PS1 retrospective EX-TURBO! 🎉❤
That smooth transition from the Skullomania fight to the Darun fight had me going, "Oh, he's proud of that!" (And you should be)
THANK YOU for spending so much time on the Megaman Legends franchise!!!!!! these games are so dear to me!! (even if the camera controls in Legends 1 have taken years off my life...) Also thank you for mentioning BOF V dragon quarter !!!!!!!!!!! this game does not get enough praise
This is one of the few channels that uploads a 6 hour video and i say
"hell yeah! I'm gonna watch the whole thing!"
Not even joking - I've watched this five times already
I recently discovered your channel and it’s fantastic. Thanks for the vids dude!
Verry happy! Although the monkey paw is that Capcom also lost Itsuno a few days later. Nothing I mentioned in the video is safe 😭
My man went full Mahjong tutorials to show us how the game is, amazing commitment and great video!
impeccable video Sean! you did it again ! you deserve minimum 100k+ subs for this quality .
thank you for this video, i have learnt many new things and also remembered many core memories long gone.
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and personality laden within them. You are truly a gift
I have been watching this video in and out with my brother and is absolutely the best explained, show, organized well written video, I'm hook can't wait to jump to your other videos. Absolutely great job🎉
So, here is my comment from last time:
Phew, so I "finally" made it.
\O/ 29:03 Luna 1:49:35 Luna 2:57:00 Cat as desktop background 4:09:55 Honey and Luna (sniffing each other?) 4:55:28 Luna 5:07:47 Honey 5:07:49 Luna 5:23:53 Honey 5:47:09 Honey (although one can see more of Honey at 5:47:13) 6:05:44 Luna
Maybe I have missed some and I didn't count all the cats in video games, otherwise I would've had to write down every time the cats in the background of that Street Fighter Alpha stage.
Anyways, every Konami PS1 game next?
Great to hear from you again, dude! I was getting a little worried the wheel might have stopped providing. Coming away from this video with some very interesting new ideas for what games to try, as usual. By the way, your accent is great and let no one convince you otherwise.
Watching this in preparation and to get excited about Kunitsu-gami releasing in a weeks time.
Fantastic work Sean!
I've never seen this much dedication put into a single video - everybody say thank you to Sean for being the baddest yet again
You're too kind, thank you! Appreciate you watching 🙏
Have you spent 6 hours of your life watching this? Yes, I have, and I would do it again. And again. Thank you, Sean!
Absolutely fantastic video, mate - gonna go into regular rotation for me, this one!
Also, respect for being a fellow Mega Man 8 lover - truly a man of culture
Amazing video, thanks a lot for the titanic work it took to put this together, it made many of my nights very cozy and relaxed!
Great job with an amazing video. As a speedrunner of the Mega Man Legends series, I'm super happy you enjoyed the games and I hope others do too. But personally, I don't think there will ever be a MML3 :(
It’s been two months. I love your videos. Thank you!
I demand a video on The Square Tallaght in 1995!
my dream
Just found some more PS1 gems watching this. Thanks Sean! 🤘
I would absolutely love to see you jump onto the PS2 a bit. I definitely gotta say, you're doing a great job with the PlayStation content. It's very high quality, different, and captured a cool vibe I absolutely love.
Mother fucking 6 hours, well im not complaining, Capcom is my fav game company
