Its funny to me how people spend over 500 on Select basketball and so many big Wemby pulls came from a cheap retail box.
What’s even crazier the guy that got the #1 spot is not even a sports breaker, he just happen to have sports card recently, he does Pokémon and Japanese TCG. Half the people in chat didn’t know what just happend 😂.

Pro tip: you don’t need to squeeze the cards like you’re trying to juice them, and then shake around and ding up the corners. It really doesn’t help anything lol

Just an FYI but for Optic Football this year....I don't think PSA will grade them unless PANINI releases a checklist. Or at least that's the stance they've taken in the past.
My Blue Glitter AR is currently being graded. They emailed me and said they could send it back or I could wait for them to contact the manufacturer and I waited. It was back on track in a few days

Can you tell me why genuinely interested new into the hobby what different would it have made and how would he have known what card it was to sell there’s different numbered Wembys
@@Observerw Just speaking for myself honestly, there are a few different reasons to keep it in the pack or to open it up. First off is the potential for what the card could be. We already know it’s a Wemby, but which Wemby is it? I can price the pack much higher than retail now that I know the card is a Wemby. Secondly, we can open the pack because of curiosity knowing we just saw a Wemby through the plastic. I want to know which Wemby it is so I’m ripping through the pack and fortunately it was a valuable card that he obtained. Does this help you?
@@RonnieFi9 a little but any Wemby numbered is worth alot right now so either way it was a multiple thousand dollar card not to mention if you graded it and got psa 10 even a 9 you can sell for much more than you could in the pack and another thing is I would think usually people wouldn’t just spend thousands without knowing what they are buying the condition version etc lol that’s why I was confused with what you said just my opinion
@@ObserverwHow about this. What if he would’ve made more money from the pack than the card? Thats the perspective that I’m coming from. Let’s say the card is worth $2500, but he sold the pack for $3000. That’s what I mean.
@@RonnieFi9 I feel you but I doubt most collectors just want to buy 3k worth of a card just to have it sit in a pack could be wrong though they likely want to have it slabbed or at least toploaded and shown off or in a vault or storage place but at least be able to look at the card and show ppl etc but anyways you good bro just your perspective I feel it

The interesting story behind # 2:
They tried to buy box. Power was out so they said come back later. They came back and purchased the box. You're not sure if the box was held for them.

Really thought I would’ve ended up on this month’s retail pulls but mine weren’t hot enough! Pulled a blue glitter AR and a Purple Flash Mezzanine Wemby /175 last month

My Blue Glitter AR is currently in the assembly room phase at PSA. They emailed me asking if I wanted to have it sent back to me or wait for them to get in contact with the manufacturer since the checklist wasn’t out, I opted to wait and it was back on track in a couple days
If you would have kept that Wemby card in the cello pack unopened, you could have easily sold it for $1,000 more than usual. Just last week I bought a 1983 Tony Gwynn Topps rookie where he was the 1st card in an unopened cello pack.

How come no one includes the tax on comps? Especially with bigger cards. The buyer is actually paying a few hundred more depending on how big the card is value wise. 😜🤷♂️

Ian u said u haven't hit a downtown in years... Here's the problem and why other people him them... To increase the odds greatly (and I mean greatly) you must buy a case... I think there's a downtown in every 3 cases or so or something like that... And the reason you and other people never hit is cuz in only buy 1 or 2 boxes at a time... And believe it or not what ALOT of people do is the guy cases and once they hit the downtown or a huge card from the case the chances of hitting another downtown or huge card just don't exist... So instead of buying a box here and there just buy the whole case in one shot... And buying it from Panini and right wen it comes out will increase ur odds even more...

Sweet pulls! I have a question. I recently pulled a 23 topps stadium club chrome reel time red refractor out of 5 Lionel Messi from a hanger pack. I’ve searched all over eBay and CANNOT find one of them. Mine is graded a 9. I guess my question is a dollar amount you would put on it if I were to want to sell. As of now it is a PC Card

How would the buyer know the condition of the card they are buying and also aren’t there different 1/10 Wembys how would they know which one? And then if he wanted to grade it
@Observerw why would the buyer have to know exactly which card it is and the condition to buy it? This hobby is built around opening packs with unknown contents and speculating on card values.

I pulled the Wemby teal/white/pink courtside /49 from a select hanger box this week followed by the Wemby orange cracked ice from a prizm hanger. The /49 is at PSA now.
I pulled Wemby in a 24 box obsidian player break for 21 bucks. I hit and flood orange etch /75, a orange supernova /75 and a eclipse jersey patch out of 249. Bleacherhoops on what not. Luckiest day I have ever had
