I'm in the process of restoring a Compact Mini and have just completed repairing the voice boards. Electrolytic caps and transistors where 99% of what I've replaced.
@@audiodood Depends on the issue you are having of course but the problem I was having were some crooked contact springs that weren’t moving correctly and not in such a way that it would make a decent connection to the rails. I slid a piece of guitar string (I *think* a D-string…could be wrong) through the centre to act as a ‘splint’. Applied a little solder to the end to make it stay in. Worked for me on a few occasions. Not heard this method ‘approved’ elsewhere online, so completely at your own risk. ⚠️ I was just improvising with what I had and needed a quick fix. Should also add that the model I have is a Farfisa Compact Professional I, so not sure how similar the contacts are to the Combo Compact or Mini Compact organs…
@@LeoVKMusic I talked to some professional service techs and they gave me some tips on what to do (basically doing this) I found some violin strings that seem like they'll do the trick, I'll let you know how it goes
Any advice?? I had my farfisa 252r going from my the headphone jack to a mixer (the back 1/4" output isn't functioning.) The volume fluctuates over time, and usually will be stronger when I turn it off and back on. But when I did, the farfisa sent an electric current from the headphone amp that fried my channel! Smoke and everything... Why!??? Thanks!
I have a Farfisa combo compact like the one you are working on. It is not creating any sound either. I am trying to sell the organ as is, but don't know what I can ask for it.
I know this video is 10 years old but I recently just got a farfirsa combo deluxe for a smackin 150 and everything works except the reverb and vibrato, which I can live without I just use amp effects but for some reason all of the G notes are G flats, if anyone had any idea on how to fix that or where thats even located within the organ that would be of great help.
What would you suspect to be the culprit for a very noisy Farfisa Combo. All buttons works as they should, but standing noise/buzz is nearly as loud as the notes. Output transformer going? Pre-amp tube? Just interested in where to begin troubleshooting. Here is a sample: soundcloud.com/user-886882633/farfisa
These videos are a tremendous help and I really appreciate your effort in producing them.

Love the safety pin fix. 😂 I have used guitar strings to reinforce and repair contacts on mine. Work a treat!
Can you explain the fix? I’m trying to fix my mini compact and I’m pretty desperate lol

Nice work! Can you fix an Echoplex Maestro EP3 ?
A safety pin as a contact. Think this organ has had a busy and interesting life.
You're the best. Great videos!
You make soldering look like a Sunday drive. I can never get it right. So jealous.

Where are you located?

Replace the 25uf capacitor next to the coil on the G board, that can cause the note to go way out.
@@panthercombo9647 now to someone who knows nothing about wiring would you say this is relatively simple to do?
I wish I knew why the black bass keys on mine won't work...:-(
I was just given one of these for free. all keys work except the D key makes a sound but it aint a D sound..lol
