I'm still ride or die for the 3.75 sized figures. I hope they eventually go back to those. The newer Classified version is too close to "dolls" for me.
I totally agree with you mate! I’ve only been grabbing the classifieds that have been really cheap or are characters that I have a strong connection with like shockwave and low light! Thanks heaps for taking the time to watch and comment!
Considering Hasbro is apparently run by a band of idiots, they'll probably stick with the larger. Those at the top of the GI Joe franchise should kick their own asses for the level of stupidity they've achieved. They've never put any real effort into a reboot. A true reboot would be very simple. Update the backstory, bring weapons, vehicles, uniforms, etc into the present, keep the basic cannon + 30-40 years. New comic, New animated series, new rebooted toyline in 3 3/4, O ring, fashion. Put some effort into advertisement and promo and you're talking hundreds of millions/billions. I've showed the old TV commercials to my kids ND other kids. I asked this question to all of them and gotten the same response. I asked, "does this look cool? Like something you want to play with? When you saw the commercials of kids playing with the toys, does it make you want to ask your parents to rush you the store to buy those? With big ole bug eyes they all knodded their heads rapidly and said "YES"! But, no they want ot shelve the greatest toy franchise in history. Every year I walk the toy aisles before Christmas and see there is little to nothing there from the line. Every year, they just let it die. It's a crying shame.
The thing that really bugs Me is that the closer to the end the line got, the worse the colors would be on the figure compared to the file card art. Several Later figures looked great on the packaging but the colors didn’t match and details on the uniforms would be missing. Take a look at Darkstar for example. He’s Orange in the painting but yellow on the figure. His knee pads and chaps are also missing!

This was when I was big into collecting G.I. Joe. I know the 90s Joes get ragged on considerably but the card art in 1994 was a big improvement over the 1993 card art. The figure molds were excellent in most cases. I should have picked up more figures but I already had earlier releases for figures like Stalker, Flint, and Lifeline that I liked better. Others, like the 1994 Star Brigade and the 30th anniversary, were impossible for me to find back then. I had to wait years later to find some of these figures.
One of the executives who Hasbro put in charge of the Kenner Division want Gi JOE RAH cancelled because she hated "war toys" and Hasbro boy toy operations transfers to Kenner which happen in 1995 fully the cancelling of everything RAH except SGT Savage which was made to compete with the Mattel Sgt rock movie line for the unproduced SGT Rock movie from WB
From what I saw, SGT Savage and Extreme were both released in 1995 and to me Savage wasn't that great either so yeah to me, 1994 was still the last great stuff before the line going downhill! Thanks for checking the video out!

Last 17 for Star Wars was entirely trilogy figures Ewoks and Droids where toy solo lines that lasted one way to tie in to both cartoons which combine resident the last 19 figures of Kenner Original run with Star Wars but not considered part of the vintage line like the last 17
I'm kind of surprised that the last couple years of GI Joe along with any toy coming out in the 90s didn't come with a warning over those eye blinding neon colors. But then again I guess that's two-fold if you're blinding kids you don't have to worry about the quality of art in the cartoon when dic took over.
Yeah, I'd love to get my hands on that '94 convention pilot. I see them on ebay once in a while, and there are a couple on there now. A complete USS Flagg in decent shape would be cheaper.

I believe the year hasbro made the most money was in 93, not 94.
Gi Joe Extreme was so bad that star brigade came out well after i had outgrown the line but man did kathleen kennedy come up with this idea
