$60 for the wand. $40 for 2 butterbeers where you keep the mugs. Daughter got a sweater, some patches, a note book, a poster and a shirt for our 4yr old. Those items totaled $140. My daughter ended up having a ton of fun.

Is it normal to bring tripods or selfie sticks? The FAQ on the website said they were prohibited items. I'm asking because I'm planning to go alone, and I feel shy about asking someone else to help me take photos or record myself.
I don’t see an issue with bringing one but if they prohibit it then I can’t say do it lol I would call them through their website to confirm before doing it.
So our tickets got canceled don’t weather related issues and the company did not tell anyone they were doing this. Refunds are being processed but you are not being given a reschedule date you simply have to re purchase new tickets if any are to be found. Some people came from Austin Tx hours away and got hotels n reservations so disappointed this company in charge of logistics dropped the ball big time.
Supposedly they announced the cancellations on their Facebook page, but thankfully they sent out emails because it annoys me when people rely solely on Facebook for communication. (Especially when they have a professional website). It looks like they were good about somewhat canceling a day or so in advance, however, if you were scheduled on the first canceled day, yeah, I can totally see people driving all the way up here with hotel reservations and not knowing/or checking until they got here. It’s an outdoor event, so while people traveling outside DFW may or may not have been aware of the weather situation, I showed up the Wednesday before they opened, fully expecting that weather may become an issue. Our tickets are for the 10th, and there is a slight chance of rain, but thankfully not as cold. I’m hoping we get lucky, but will definitely check before we go, as it’s still an hours drive. You’re right about repurchasing tickets though. We got ours in launch day in July, and so much was already sold out. One would hope a wizard would cast some sort of hood weather charm.
We LOVE the Harry Potter films and enjoyed the experience. But it was insanely overpriced for what you get. Some nights the price per person was over $70. It definitely wasn’t worth traveling from far away to experience it. But for people that live in the area and get tickets for under $50 it’s an okay experience.
Glad you got to go. It was a highlight of the holiday season for our family last year!
