Listening to this was honestly delightful. This video reminded me of some form of a fake memory I never genuinely experienced for myself (due to my mother being at work for long hours when I was a child). Your calming, motherly voice reading reading these short stories gave me counterfeit déjà vu. Thank you for this, and good luck to you and your channel!

I think the reason this hits home for so many of us is because now that we're all "too old" for our parents to baby us our stress takes over and we get it pounded into us that we have to take care of ourselves. The feeling of having someone tuck us in and give us a story and be so caring and loving and nice brings us back to that time when it wasn't every man for himself. It's really nice. Thank you ❤❤

Joseph Jagusah I'm a teacher, I have a million books and we read at least 3 a night .. that doesn't always do the trick ..but if you were a parent you would know that and not pass judgement :)

I can't believe a lot of u didn't get read to. I read to my youngest every night and I did the same with my oldest. It breaks my heart your parents never read to you :(
My mom either read to me and my older sister, or we'd make one up together. I wish I had that again.
My mom used to read me the "Love You Forever" book every night when I was a little kid. She gave a copy to me when i graduated college with one of the most heartfelt notes I've ever gotten in it...hearing the book read again almost made me cry, I moved out of state for work and haven't seen her in a while. I think I'm gonna call her tomorrow and tell her how much I love her.
That mother must be a body builder if she can carry a grown man and rock him back and forth god damn!

This was a very sweet and relaxing video. But that second book! I bawled my eyes out. I bawled my eyes out when I bought the book to read to my kids when they were young. I had a real hard time reading it to them. I'd always choke up. My youngest is 22 now. This book is one of the few children's books I kept from their childhoods, and one of the sweetest books I've ever read.
P.S. I can't imagine going to my 22 year son's room at night and try to pick him up and rock him... Although if I could lift him I could probably get away with it because he sleeps like a LOG!

Belle, what a nostalgic, relaxing video! I read all these stories to my boys often when they were little. I even made up a tune to sing the "I'll love you forever" song to them. 🙂 It's been quite a long time since I put my boys to bed with stories and songs, but this brought me back to that special time. My mom read me “Love you forever” all the time when I was a kid. Hearing you read it legitimately made me tear up.

Madeline was one of my favourite films growing up, and I still watch it from time to time (I'm now 22). I never knew it was closely based on the book! And I recognised most of the lines 😊
Then "love you forever" was the story Joey read at Emma's first birthday on Friends. They all tear up by the end. A dramatic reading 😊😊 Ahh. Memories 💟
