Followed your directions and it worked out great. I think the most intimidating part is pulling the dashboard apart and hoping not to snap a fastener. Thanks for the video.

Thanks got the video. Just got my Tekonsha p3 to install and I was ticked it didn't fit the mounting plate. You'd think the top is the larger half oval,, but it's not. I flipped it and I see it'll fit better after I take that little clip part off.
    2016 Tundra,, thanks

Thank you for the comment! Breaking the clip off the controller allows it to sit deeper in the mount. I don't remember, but I think I tried to slip it in upside down and it falls to far back into the bracket.

Did you cut the white ground cable from the plug? Can you leave it in the plug harness?

@@mattk8524 i don't remember cutting any wires when installing this.

Was wondering if it’s upside down then maybe you can unscrew the plate and rotate?

I believe when I was filming the video I did try it the other way and it wanted to slide in and out even when you put the bolts in the back., it gave it an inch or so to move. I don't have the original footage anymore to check.

Also,,you'd think with a plug n play you wouldn't need a separate ground. But I'm not gonna risk not having it.

Does it work for a 2010 Toyota tundra?
