No, this wasn't a talent show, rather a singing show. It's called "TheShowMaskGoOn" which was an offshoot of the Russian version of "The Masked Singer" hence the punning title. Nine established singers, most of whom (although not Diana) had already appeared on "The Masked Singer", were invited to perform songs in nine different genres over the nine week run of the show in September/November 2021. Whilst the nine singers were the same in all episodes, there was a different guest judge each week - after each song the other singers and the guest critiqued and marked the performance. The guest judge in this, the first episode, was Yusif Eyvazov, an international opera star - he was the chap with the beard who stood up during the song. The lady in red is Julia Parshuta who had, earlier in the show, performed a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". Diana at 18 (she is now 19) was by far the youngest of the nine artists.

The stage presence, the range, the emotive ability, the tiny perfectly rythmic swaying body movements, the witchy vocalizations, the overall shamanistic earth mother vibe, the haunting overtones, and that thunderous, rich, dark, resonant contralto. Her talent blazes like a supernova, despite her rather brutal start to life. She is bravery, perseverance, and soul power personified. I get emotional just watching her, never mind the otherworldly voice. By far, my favorite singer in the world.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. Greetings again! You asked "Who is Diana" Here she was 18yo but is 19yo currently. I've been following her since around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 4 octave range and it's increasing. Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. This is not a real surprise. Each country's citizens tend to focus on vocalists from their own country; or; at least those who speak their language. Through UA-cam, I have learned of many great artists from around the world. I won't be so bold as to say that Diana is the best in the world. I will only say that I had heard of her almost three years ago. Since that time, it has been very rare for me to listen to anyone else.

She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'Friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. I read that many have been blocked etc. since .. but yeah .. well worth watching the entire show if you can as those are top tier performers .. the show is not so much a contest and very much like a variety show. The blonde lady . . Julia Parshuta .. is both beautiful and with a voice to match for example. Stas Kostyushkin .. the guy who was making jokes was indeed the clown of the show .. but episode 9 he .. IMO was the best act that night. Great stuff if you can find the episodes in full.

No, this wasn't a talent show, rather a singing show. It's called "TheShowMaskGoOn" which was an offshoot of the Russian version of "The Masked Singer" hence the punning title. Nine established singers, most of whom (although not Diana) had already appeared on "The Masked Singer", were invited to perform songs in nine different genres over the nine week run of the show in September/November 2021.
Whilst the nine singers were the same in all episodes, there was a different guest judge each week - after each song the other singers and the guest critiqued and marked the performance. The guest judge in this, the first episode, was Yusif Eyvazov, an international opera star - he was the chap with the beard who stood up during the song. The lady in red is Julia Parshuta who had, earlier in the show, performed a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". Diana at 18 (she is now 19) was by far the youngest of the nine artists.

Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

Greetings again! You asked "Who is Diana" Here she was 18yo but is 19yo currently. I've been following her since around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 4 octave range and it's increasing. Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage!
This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. You ask why you haven't heard of Diana. This is not a real surprise. Each country's citizens tend to focus on vocalists from their own country; or; at least those who speak their language. Through UA-cam, I have learned of many great artists from around the world.
I won't be so bold as to say that Diana is the best in the world. I will only say that I had heard of her almost three years ago. Since that time, it has been very rare for me to listen to anyone else.

At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly.
A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on UA-cam.
A year ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of UA-cam 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers. Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Diana Ankudinova sings mostly in Russian, English and French. She has also sung in other languages including Spanish, German and Arabic. Diana, the unique singer and songwriter in Russia was born in May, 31. 2003 in the Far East of Russia. (www says she is between 1.66 -1.70m/ 5.5 - 5.7 ft tall.) She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not love her child, cruelly abused it and tried to drown it. The 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... from Irina Ponik, a massagetherapist. Taking a young child into the family was not easy for Irina. Her son was already 20 years old, daughter Nastya 17 years... Now start all over again? Yes!!! Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. The doctor recommended singing lessons and so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started...
During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Her mother, Irina Ponik, turned her whole life inside out and started all over with a new motherhood and many new professions - seamstress, manager, vblogger… admirable. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. It is admirable how she promotes her daughter's career, teaching her how to fly but makes sure that she is down to earth Remains.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
In 2012, Irina's family moved to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
In 2017 Diana went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. A door had closed but a new door opened...
Diana entered another competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. That project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to UA-cam and soon Diana had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists to start their studies and promote their creativity. Diana won a scholarship and Igor Krutoy (Russian music titan, juror and sponsor) gave her a small apartment (37m²/ 398.26 ft²) in Moscow. There she lives in the small apartment with her mother and grandmother and was able to start her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in October 2020). Now she is taught by the great Alexandra Pismennaya, who was a student of Prof. Donskoy. Maestro Krutoy also introduced Diana to the excellent singer, songwriter and producer Brandon Stone. With Maria Tarasenko (songwriter), the trio created the 9 songs of Diana's first CD, released Dec. 2021 with great success. The album received gold in June 2022.

Every song is a unique experience, it captivates you, you feel bound by magic. Diana doesn't just sing, she creates worlds... and goosebumps.
Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D7). Your voice has natural polyphonic overtones and sometimes specifically an undertone = subharmonic. You hear the voice an octave lower than Diana sings. Not everyone can hear that.

She also gives charity concerts. She loves her family and her fans. They are 'Friends' to her and they are very supportive of her. Diana is grateful that they helped improve her home studio and also supported her future plans (first album). Her Russian Friends have chosen Diana as "National Treasure". I think, she is our “Earth Treasure”.
The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. @@Alexal_PT Prior to Russia invading Ukraine you could watch entire episodes of the show .. but I suspect that has changed .. I read that many have been blocked etc. since .. but yeah .. well worth watching the entire show if you can as those are top tier performers .. the show is not so much a contest and very much like a variety show. The blonde lady . . Julia Parshuta .. is both beautiful and with a voice to match for example. Stas Kostyushkin .. the guy who was making jokes was indeed the clown of the show .. but episode 9 he .. IMO was the best act that night. Great stuff if you can find the episodes in full.
