Signs of Heat Stroke

It's important to know and watch for the signs of heat stroke.
Heat stroke is a medical emergency that can result in brain and/or internal organ damage.
Signs include:
- Hallucinations
- Fast heart rate
- Moderate to severe dehydration
- Low blood pressure
- Delirium
Here’s what you should do if you believe you or a loved one are experiencing heat stroke:
- Call 911 - heat stroke is a medical emergency.
- Move to a cooler location and remove unnecessary clothing.
- Spray water or fan to cool body temperature.
- Do not drink water.
