Eventually Fidel became a "book keeper" so yes, he is fidel on the book. If you noticed in the series there was " 7 yrs later" , where Klay became a doctor and if you try dig deeper, el fili was published on 1891, then after 7 yrs (1898) the Philippines gained our independence. Which made sense that Fidel was able to come out from the book "7 yrs later", since he promised to Klay that when the country became "free" he will find her.
In addition, he was able to see Mr. Torres before he let Klay exit the El Fili book and Mr. Torres said to him "There's a time and reason for everything." Hope it clarifies.

I think he is the same Fidel that Klay met in the book because he said he's found her. But yes, maybe he's turned into a book keeper too since Mr. Torres is already too old for those 'journeys'. I remember the MCI head writer teased in her Twitter account that it's not BABU (goodbye) yet. So maybe there'll be a sequel? I'm not sure. At least, Klay and Fidel reunited in the end. 😍😭
My theory then was that Fidel is also Mr. Torres' student just like Klay hence an additional character who is not mentioned in the book. 🤓

I think the Reason they did not Kiss was because Barbie Forteza the one that is Acting as Klay actually had a Husband/Fiance/Boyfriend. I don't watch anything about Barbie Forteza but from what i remember she was with someone named Jak Roberto which is also an Actor/Celebrity. 🥰

Firstly, Barbie (Klay) never actually had a real kissing scene in her whole acting career. Every kissing scene she did always had a camera trick. This is not an exception.
And second, it's both sides' respect on Barbie's relationship with his real life partner Jak Roberto.
