Being a local from sgp and flying pretty often not always business class I will say I tried starlux 3 times from sgp to Taipei but only in economy class I am always blown away by her service and product. Just some friendly advice on improving your videos. 1. Ditch the camera stand/tripod and use a gimbal instead. The shakiness is very noticeable in many clips. Its probably easier than trying to fix the shake in post. 2. If you're going to make the food a big focus, then try to show the full menu at the beginning before the food arrrives. It's always nice to see what kind of options they offer and not just what you wanted to get. A lot of people have certain preferences so it's nice to see what they offer overall. Also hold the camera over the food for a while just so we can see everything being served. 4:05 Try to keep the area tidy. Messy wires, loose paper etc is a distraction. I know you like to do this fast paced cut cut cut style, but a bit of slowing down to take it all in doesn't hurt. How about some slow-mo when panning? Starlux is definitely the airline to beat. As you say, they have made it quite clear they want the top spot and given what you and other reviewers have said, they look to be taking the top spot soon. You're a new suggestion in my feed after the other 18 flight reviewers I follow, so will be interesting to see your future videos!

My personal favourite is Eva Air - Service just as good as Singapore Airlines but the seat/bed is more comfortable. Based on your review Starlux business class is my new favourite.
Great review. Just flew EVA from JFK and at first glance the seat on Starlux looked like that on EVA,but it turns out it’s way better. EVA hard product is showing its age. The soft product on EVA is still top notch but looks like Starlux has them beat. I’m sure the Chair who formed Starlux took a few EVA secrets with him. Hope they can sustain the airline until it is profitable. Hope to fly Starlux one day
just to note: EVA is aware of the age of its 777s, they're moving to new planes but both Boeing and Airbus have a MASSIVE backorder for new planes. Replacing the 777 is extremely difficult because its high capacity for very popular routes is hard to match. For example, not only would a brand new 787 be expensive, but it has fewer seats, which further reduces profit recovery. It'll just take them some time to update

I think the CEO used to run the Eva Air but the old chairman die and he willed the CEO to him but the problem was he is not the first born son and his mother is the first wife his father has few wives and he has lots brothers and sisters all by different wives 😅 and they were jealous of him for getting the CEO for Eva Air, and one day he was out on a business trip Eva Air had a emergency board meeting and fire him from Eva Air he is a guy started from the engine maintenance department and worked his way up to the CEO position and he has a pilot license and can fly the Jets ❤ I think the first Airbus 350 for the Star lux he flew It back to Taiwan from Europe my wife have plans to fly to Taipei so she is looking at Star lux and since it's New we don't know much about it and she can't decide what class ticket to buy your video should help her make up her mind,tea is really that good and she loves it too 😅 thank you for doing the video ❤
They just need an airline alliance to join. Remember, the founder of the airline actually had Eva Air on Star Alliance back in 2013. That way, Eva Air Passengers have access to Air Canada and United Airlines lounges across the Pacific. They can try joining the Japanese Australians and Hong Kongers Oneworld Alliance. This airline should get a 5 star Skytrax rating seen on neighbouring countries Hong Kong South Korea Japan Singapore and Indonesia alongside local rival Eva Air Taiwanese and Hong Kong Netizens simply call it Evergreen
Pretty unlikely, I think. They now have a partnership with Alaska airlines, which is as good as they can hope for at the moment. Starlux would not join Star Alliance because Eva is there, and the owner fell out on bad terms with Eva. Joining Oneworld is also a no, because Cathay would most likely veto them due to competition. They already vetoed China Southern. Skyteam is also a no because China Airlines is there, so Starlux finds itself in a precarious situation.

I also don’t know how Starlux prices compare to EVA’s rates ? Their business product seems beyond good .. but err .. no flagship lounge at their home base.. are there plans to open one up in 2024 ? They must be saving a great deal of money by not having a business lounge to the same impressive standard as their A350 business cabin .. just saying.. thanks for a cool review .. 🙏
Yes, complimentary texting only. The wifi requires payment. I originally bought the premium economy and it mentioned that wifi at a cost. Then I ended up changing my flight to business class.
these chairs at oriental lounge are weird as well. Once I had to stay at oriental lounge for about 5 hours, these chairs where Mr Zhang presents from are weird as well.

Short ribs have to be cooked slowly, over a longer period of time, to become tender. I can assure you that that was NOT medium rare, despite appearances.
Starlux Just flew from LAX to TPE Economy Seats are terrible, if person is reclined you can't get out also seats are not comfortable. Customer service terrible english is not good, i know.... but telling me I cant make my flight cause the connection is late (there flight) so my new flight the next day will be at 2030 when they mean 1230 is a problem.... customer no service only available 930 am to 530 pm.. I was told i would not be reimbursed since my flight the next day was early. Wont fly on this airline again why take the chance. 11 hr layover after 1 day delay stick with EVA siangapore
why cant American or European airlines be like this ? We dont fly American airlines because.. They have Boeing disaster aircraft Maintenance seems lacks Treatment of th blind and severely disabled traveler. Seat sizes have shrunk to the point that they are not big enough to evacuate or hold the average over sized American All airlines need to charge passengers by gross weight to stop light passengers subsidizing over weight travelers who cant even fit into ONE seat! This seems harsh....but to keep prices down weight to fuel burn is ultimately which determines the ticket price.

flew economy on starlux from lax to taipei and then to bangkok and had a great experience. probably the best flight experience I have had in economy.
