I am in love with my Xiao team again thanks to her. Been maining him since 1.3 and never had this much fun playing him.
My „Furina“ slot is occupied by Zhongli though, cause I‘ll never seperate him from his son and the team still does more than enough damage anyway, especially since I got lucky with Faruzan cons this banner.
Xianyun is such a queen, she knocked it out of the park for me in every possible way.

I've been running Kaveh/XQ/Kaeya/Kazuha shatterbloom as my go to team for a while, and after seeing those Kaveh plunges in the guide I'm thinking of seing how well the team works with Xianyun instead of Kazuha as the swirler/VV shredder +her unique bonuses ofc. Sounds like fun :)
Other than that my best built team is a Haitham hyperblom and seeing if she could fit into that team sounds fun as well :D
Thank you sevy for showcasing team comps with 4 star characters as well. I know xianyun and furina has great synergies, but some people, including me, do not have her (or c6 bennett) or plan to pull her in the foreseeable future. So I'm glad that you are showing teams that are not limiting to one or two units😊 much love!
I was already going for Xianyun since I already have both Shenhe and Ganyu, so it only seems right I get their master/mother.
She looks so cool with her dive bombs and having another another Anemo healer is nice.
Her being hot is a plus, so I’m definitely trying to get her!…. that is if I can make enough room for the update. I’m constantly having to delete and re-download apps to make space.
I was not going for her(I do not like her design), but I was pulling on her banner just to build pity as I was at 10 pity, and I got her at 13 pity. That was a day after I got Keqing while also at hard pity(sadly I didn't get Yoimiya)

My process with new characters in Genshin or Star Rail.
Step 1: Pull on the banner
Step 2: Open up UA-cam so Sevy can tell me how to build them

You can pull her and build her later though, who knows how long her rerun will take to arrive… just look at Eula rerun and albedo lol

That's what the crybabies in the community deserve for demanding more standard 5* characters. Dehya could have been better if she was a limited banner 5* character. This is why I find this community cringe especially that they're demanding a free 5* character yet again. If Mihoyoverse ever decides to give a new 5* character for free, I'm sure it's going to be absolute trash to the point of being unusable and worse than Dehya. I'd rather they stick to limited banner 5* characters. At least the characters are decent and usable.

Im so glad you showed kaveh in the guide; thats who i pulled her for 😅. Gaming, Diluc and Freminet too but mostly Kaveh. I love his design but basically rarely play him as his kit feels clunky to me, especially in overworld. He feels way more fun to play now 😂 once ive finshed building her properly im taking Kaveh, Bennet, Furina and Xianyun to abyss to see how far i can go.
Looks amazing! I just got her with my granted wish and then I wanted to do a few more to get the new 4 star and did 20 and got two gaming and one more copy of her LOL!!
I'm sad that i'll be missing out on her. Seems like a furina-style character that enables various other characters to work in different and/or better ways. i'll probably get her on a re-run. right now, i need geo girl and one more furina cons.
She is nowhere as useful as Furina. There is plenty of group healers already. Plunging is clunky gimmick gameplay that ignores innate mechanics of most characters so they start to feel the same which is absolutely stupid decision.
this comment had a bunch of replies in my notification that aren't here for me to address 🤔 geez bunch of people are really salty that she doesn't help their neuvillette or whatever, probably. it helps a lot of other characters like diluc, chongyun, raiden... any on-fielder with a strong attack multiplier.
Ah, for the salty one that made fun of min maxing... i'm not going against the abyss and haven't done so since version 1.2 🙄 i'm going against myself and friends' parties, and also making my noelle stay in her strongest in the world spot. there are things you can do in a game that aren't explicitly built-in, you know.

1.) Does she give low or high plunge attack damage?
2.) When a character under the effect of her elemental burst plunges and the starwicker deals the coordinate anemo damage. What element does it swirl? Take for example Diluc plunging on an enemy affected with hydro. Will Xianyun swirl the pyro or the hydro?
She's refreshing plus I love her over world skill usage, so agile and feels nice like doing parkour.

You can also spam E really fast to have her full jump faster. It kinda does some animation cancel.

I love how shes not just bringing in a new play style to a lot of characters but also shines the light on elemental infusion characters to make for a bunch of wacky team comps. Fontaine has done a lot to keep things refreshing!

Ended up randomly pulling her while going for Noelle C6 - so I guess here I am! I have C2 Furina ane C6 Bennett, so I look forward to making all kinds of carries work!
I like the fact how you can get really creative with her, she unlocks really weird teams, like I've been enjoying "shatter shenhe" a lot with shenhe, xianyun, furina, chongyun. It is good time to build candace I might as well try pyro-hydro xiangling where she deals hydro and pyro at same time😂

So got her in 78 pulls (rounded to 80 from 10 pulls)! Started to get her world bosses done!!
I mean i think any secondary artifact set that provides a 2p attack% bonus can be resin efficient since those can always be good for dps and attack scaling supports. It's the entire reason shimenawa/emblem domain is considered resin efficient, even if shimenawa isnt like, the bis for a ton of dps characters, the 2p set bonus makes it efficient anyway.
She is good she is a battery for herself and healer of herself. I use her with the help of few genshin Character. I defeated some minor bosses like The puppet Maguu Kenki, Oceanid and Cryo Regisvine. Still testing her for others minor bosses. She may work with the Hound only to be accompanied by a geo character if not she dies due to blood loss effect.
By the way she is C6 R2.

I saw one time on a Raiden show case that a plunge attack string was her strongest dps sequence during her burst, now I know what to do with that info.
if it wasn't for chev, that's 100% sure what i'd do with her. but chev comf is too much with raiden, hard to give up
But xianyun can't buff raidens burst plunge dmg sadly. Since it counts as raidens burst
@@xsomili5501 true! sadge but understandable cuz even without that my C2 Raiden with catch using C1 Furina, Bennett, and TTDS Xianyun deal 350k burst and 120k plunge without buff, imagine with buff C6 Sara would be useless (C6 Sara+Mona TTDS can reach 500k burst iirc)

I managed to get Xianyun, Nahida, Tighnari, C2 Gaming and C6 Faruzan (from C1) all in 90 pulls. I also don't have Jean so I am definitely stocked to build her and try her out in all the difference teams she has available!
She sounds she will become a new overworld mainstay for me, kinda like Yelan, and not only because her skill has mobility, but because she can proc VV with swirls and heal the entire team all the time. She may not be super strong dmg wise, but she's like a 9/10 support (lacks grouping) with 10/10 convinience!

Absolutely love Cloud retainer’s gameplay. Was absolutely thrilled when I saw her post on Fb. Going with a Ganyu Shenhe and Xianyun comp with a flex, its not optimal but in the overworld that doesnt matter
I'm so glad I can work her out with my yanfei since I got her by lucky accident at 10 pity when I was aiming for gaming 😂 I have c3 furifuri and c5 Benny so this is all good ❤️

I was considering her weapon since thousand dreams is perfect for Sucrose or DPS Koko but decided that my lack of emo boy, dark knight or hoe tao encourages me to main her so I’m going for C2 instead and i believe BP jade catalyst is great for her.

I think I’ll give my Cloud Retainer my R4 Wandering Evenstar! It gives her EM for swirls and I’m going ER/ atk/ CR on the VV set so she becomes a generalist that deals more dmg than if I used her as a buffer but also still heals decently. Her stats currently are 60/130 and ~1400 atk at lvl 40 with 181 ER. She has 15% anemo dmg bonus tho but I think I’m happy with the stats! Just need to get her to 90.
I want her SOOOO bad, but I need to prioritize vertical investment on my Nahida (I already have faaaaar more than enough characters to fuck around with). But her first banner rerun I will for sure be getting her.
does hu tao's new team with XY do more damage than the Jean variant? There is a plunge added but it takes so long you can only do half as many combos, and only one enemy will actually take increased damage from XY's plunge buff. Will you end up doing more damage with XY or less?
As a c6 Diluc main, I am so very happy I’ve won the 50/50 and now have the Cloud Retainer! I’m just so happy he’s finally getting love again! 😊 Diluc is the original reason I started playing Genshin. I saw him and fell in love. 🥰 ❤
Are there any guides on how to consistently execute plunging attacks on a touchscreen?
I've been seeing a lot of reality checks on this banner... After pulling for her and playing her for a few days, I think she doesn't fall under the "must have" category. BUT like Sevy says, "fuck around and find out" - she is a SUPER FUN character to have and brings a new mechanic to the game that sort of refreshes the vibes. But again, not worth spending for her if you're a low spender or F2P unless you actually like her as a character because she is a mommy. (I am part of that group)
Anemo Chicken looks fun. Would try her out with Kazuha.
Hi, looking for advice here: I'm trying to see if I can make Xianyun work with Keqing. I noticed I can cancel Keqing's charged with a jump. I usually do EQE into C C EE C C or C EE C C C, (C = Charged) I wonder if with Xianyun's ult I can EQE into CJP EE CJP CJP CJP (CJP = charged, cancel with jump, plunging attack) and if it can deal more damage than the above combo.
How important is Furina if I want to play Diluc or HuTao or DPS Bennet in Xianyun vape teams? Are Xinqiu and/or Yelan enough?

I got her from a guaranteed not realizing my pity and I have some good catalyst and I can finally have a good team because on that account I have beidou and Yelan which might be really good for me and better than using Heizou
As a Plunge-Conbedo haver, I'm wondering how his constellation buff interacts with her? Is it worth running him along or absolutely useless? My Xiao would feel lonely without him...

Tough decision. I'd say pull for Xianyun now cause you might also get Faruzan constellations and you can get xiao next time he reruns. Or you can try to pull for both of them. We've got a new area so lots of primos will be coming and who knows maybe you'll get lucky.
I say, it depends on ur pity n amount of wishes u have.
try pull for Xiao first if ur wishes r limited, as hes cool, fun n simple dps, ez to make him stronk. N if u dont have a main dps yet. Also, if u really want Xiao.
Pull for Xianyun if u want mommy n plunge spam support. She heals too, n can be a support n dps depending how u build her. Also if u really want her.
Both is good tho, not Extremely meta or anything. But fun n stronk.
I'd go for Xiao first, since Xianyun will rerun again soon enough. But put a few early pity rolls into Xianyun so you can get a Faruzan or two. So only up to 40ish pity.

I haven't decided yet, but I've been gathering ascension and talent materials for him, so if I decide to get him I'll have everything for him. Either way if I don't get him I'll definitely be ready for his next rerun.

14:50 How does Yelan help with off-field Hydro application if the coordinated attack from Exquisite Throw of the Depth-Clarion Dice only triggers on Normal Attacks when you're focused on Plunging Attacks? Am I missing something here?
You’re still going to be normal attacking in between plunges. Since you have a limited amount of plunges, it’s a lot more efficient to do a plunge when you would normally do a jump cancel (jumping after a normal attack combo to reduce end lag) so Yelan is still getting her dice in just as she would normally. With Xiao here, she’s canceling one normal into her plunge. Yelan isn’t getting the most personal damage out here, but it’s still good, especially because Yelan buffs the on field character.
it made me revisit double vape with diluc mona again now that we can guarantee a high plunge dmg because of her

I have C6 Kazuha and C6 Albedo, so I'm going to be pairing them with Xianyun and Shenhe to test out some plunge-spam. I don't have her fully built yet, but so far the numbers look good!

kinda confused with her skill, whenever Xianyun does her plunge attack during her skill (the one where she locks on an enemy and turns into a bird), does it count as a skill damage? or normal plunge attack damage?
