Nostalgic places can be sad or happy depending on the people that accompanied you in those places or the state of mind you were in when you occupied that said space. Thanks that was a nice Sunday drive like my dear old dad would take us, and show us what used to be.
The relic of the day - TV Antenna from 1970s? lol Wonder if it was a high-tech version that would turn automatically. 🤣My dad got one of those installed it was OK we always had fuzzy TV in New Hampshire/Maine anyway! You are not imagining things Adam!😂 Our City Hall building did get a bit of a facelift. There was a lobby expansion so it could be used as an entrance for existing offices as well as the new three story structure on the south side of the building. Also…the brick streets are an absolute mess because of the company the city hired to lay them!! They’ve already had to perform so many repairs from the newly laid bricks. Most people that live here are not happy with how it’s been handled. Hope you enjoyed your time here visiting with your parents!❤️
Boston Market went bankrupt and are closing many stores sadly. I liked that place. Thank you Adam you are right on with this video showing us things about your area. I will be living down there in the next few years and you are giving me a history and what is going on there.

Adam the outdoor antenna is probably being used those people are going about it the smart way, you don't have to pay for local TV channels on cable if using it.
The bicycles at that McDonald's (which I call the world's most beautiful McDonald's to differentiate it from the world's largest McDonald's which is elsewhere in Orlando) have not worked for at least a year from my recollection.

It seems like a lot of miniature golf courses have disappeared. People don't seem to get out and do things like they used to. I forgot about the fisherman and the fridge! Will there be a part two? Haha! Thanks for another adventure!
I can't speak for the south, but in the northern states, mini-golf is a harder sale. If it's not a year round, indoor destination, it's difficult to make the financials work. Mini golf courses in the midwest are generally closed more than half the year due to school and cold weather. Some have survived in spite of it, and some can sustain their operation in odd places where the land might not be so desirable for major redevelopment, or in super-high density touristy areas, like Wisconsin Dells. But much like drive-in movie theaters, seasonal uses of property become increasing difficult to sustain financially.

Agree with thoughts on Winter. While Florida had maybe one day approaching freezing, it had a lot more days of 40 degree weather then prior years.
Funny. Chicago has had the MILDEST WINTER EVER. And that’s saying something as we’ve had very mild winters for about 6-7 years.
