When I first saw footage of this game, I immediately thought that a Borrowers game could work. An open world house, the family members for co-op and maybe a human bean or two for the big boss danger.

I know there’s a sizable portion of Dan’s audience who also has Arachnophobia and follow him in part because his shared phobia means they’re unlikely to see spiders in his videos. I personally don’t have said phobia, but when I saw the last few minutes of the video had the screen literally filled with 2 or 3 of the things, I figured they’d want a warning.
Giant spiders & bugs are the opposite of what I want from video games... or tiny me and normal sized spiders & bugs
i wanna see daniel's reaction to the spooders with arachnophobia mode OFF entirely! these are probably the most realistic spiders in a game iv seen so far.

Irl, there is a spider that creates a nest underground with an entrance like a hatch, it feels the footsteps of it’s prey above ground then leaps out of the hatch and pulls the prey to its doom, the hatch spider (if I recall correctly) looks like a hand reaching out of the ground and pulling animals as big as MICE down to their lair. Remember, it’s in Australia. (of course)

I played this game , ran from spider landed on 1 grub then another then another , shouting NOO fuck get away AHHHH , jumped up ran into another spider and all i hear is my friends loseing their god damn minds. ( im very jumpy)
I don’t think I’ve ever watched something so chaotic in my entire life.
Not going to lie I was expecting Dan to be scared of the Spiders but he is using arachnophobia mode so they just look like Liquid blobs
Now with the full release of the game I'm playing it myself, and here I am back to rewatch this.
I hope the future holds more of this.

Its not just you this game has an issue with motion blur and frame syncing its hard for a lot of people to watch or play it see Gopher for further evidence of this.

How does the arachnophobia mode help? Are some people afraid of the legs? I've always been more afraid of their presence, but it's fine behind glass.

Dan has mentioned he was actually in the Audience for the recording of one series of American Robot Wars because it was recorded in the UK, but I don't think its had the same prevalence in the US as in the UK
