I been on this ship many times, in the past, the knocking on doors on carnival ships, is fleet wide, also, not the Magic but all ships, I was on a Royal Caribbean ship where there was no knocking on doors and running. but I enjoy sailing Carnival, because I already know what it is like, so I expect this type of thing to happen. I usually never book or sail during Spring Break, but lately, all ships are overcrowded, and packed. I mostly do Chartered Music cruises for adults only, but I also do a cruise that is not chartered. I have sailed on Mardi Gras, and Celebration for the new ships.
Yes i think cruises are being viewed differently these days and more families are cruising. It’s just not for “old” people like some think. lol. When kids or teens are on a boat for a few days they get antsy. We experienced the same stuff on Norwegian recently. Best to sail during the school year for a quiet cruise lol.
I agree about huevos Ranchero. What happened to the 3 dipping sauces? That was my favorite dish. Carnival, bring back the old way you fixed Huevos Ranchero!
Hey Tiffany & Brian!! Thank you for this honest review. We are thinking about sailing Carnival Magic soon. Two separate casinos are awesome. Definitely want to see the relaxing decor vs the old flashy style. It was really dusty. Lol. I'm hoping the ship is scheduled for a drydock update. Thank you for sharing!
Hello, New Subbie here. 😊 loved your review. When I found out this was the closest port to us, and my fam wants to travel out of Norfolk, I found Magic to be the ship. After a few walk throughs... I was a little underwhelmed by the decor. I am starting your Magic vlogs and looking forward to seeing what you enjoy or don't
Hey guys, we are not leaving for cruise for awhile but can you briefly go over the ports? More importantly what to avoid. Thanks and very informative video.
Just cruised on carnival freedom, and it was terrible! Very old and out dated. Color scheme was very dark and uninspiring, considering we was cruising to tropical island. I agree that bigger ships may be the way to go. Small ships with short cruising days will attract a certain kind of audience. Rude ppl, extremely loud ppl, and constant smell of weed. 👎🏾
I'm with yall... I'm sick of the clown colors. The Celebration was so refreshing
Definitely want to go on a newer ship soon

What’s up?! Yea, the Magic needs to be refurbished but we still had fun!

Welcome to the channel! The decor is definitely underwhelming. Hopefully it’s refurbished soon. You will still have an amazing time!
I think they close the Serenity deck at 8 pm and open it as a crew deck on the Magic.
Ohhh ok. Thanks for that info.

Sure!
Hi did magic have a elevator to get to the serenity deck? What floor was it please
Hi! Yes, the elevator can be found near the spa on deck 12 and you take it up to serenity (deck 15)

Sorry you had that experience!
