Honestly Greys Anatomy was never the same for me after Lexie and Mark died. Especially Lexie. She really became my favorite character. She was not only funny and smart but she actually cared and had so much heart. As for the chief situation. So basically Richard fell back on the alcoholism problem and Derek kinda exploited that and took his job as chief. But Derek sucked as chief and after the shooting episode in the hospital he gave the job up. It's been so long since I've seen exactly what happened but yeah somehow Owen wound up getting the job of chief but he didn't really do any better considering I'm pretty sure the plane crash was his fault because he gave them like a cheap plane and they wind up actually sueing the hospital.
@@DoctorDan hello Dr Dan! New subscriber here and loving these videos 🤗🤗🤗 I seen a few ppl tell you why Webber is no longer Chief. Doctor Dan basically owen became chief because meredith messed with shepherds clinical trial to try and help webber’s wife. and since webber was so close with meredith and wants to protect her he took the fall for it knowing he could still be a surgeon, just not chief. Also it discussed Derek’s treatment too by Callie. Lots of Ortho discussion since Arizona and Derek sustained a (ALMOST for Derek) permanent injury and Callie was determined to save them and keeping them enable to do surgeries.

One thing about Derek’s hand. He was also hearing Meredith screaming for him. As always, thank you for being so informative over the injuries happening. I'm sorry that we had you watch this episode with Lexie passing but it's a good one. Please keep doing these videos, you're becoming my favorite doctor reacts
I must say, I have watched a lot of 'Doctor's react' videos on UA-cam late. Going down the wormhole if you will, and I have to give props to you Dr. Dan. To the way you break down everything in the video. Thank you so much for your insight to the medical dramas. Thank you for breaking things down into layman's terms as well for some of us that don't quite grasp the jargon or medical terminology. It is quite refreshing to see and hear. Kudos and two thumbs up!! You have gained a faithful subscriber!
I have been requesting every doctor to react to this episode. I just found your channel and you're not only a doctor, but a surgeon reacting to this episode. Thank You!
Hello Dr. Dan, Just wanted to thank you for posting this. I am a huge Grey’s fan, which is why I instantly clicked to watch your video. However, I found your commentary in between the clips so interesting and informative. I am so passionate about medicine and you are great at explaining all these complex scenarios!
hi dr. dan, i love your videos as it’s so interesting to see a real medical perspective on a medical drama, especially grey’s anatomy because it’s my absolute favourite. like a few other comments have said, i do definitely recommend you watch the 1-2 episodes after this. they’re amazing as they show the true aftermath of everyone’s injuries and trauma, and there’s also some new interns! also if you haven’t already and you’re interested, the last 2 episodes of season 6 are a great (and sad) watch. a man who’s wife died in hospital comes in and begins a mass shooting, and the doctors have to try and survive :(
You couldn't have said it better. It made me realize how since I was little, 14 years years old or so, all my purpose in my life was to become a doctor... and it still is. It's crazy the amount of time I've invested in this, it's not only the years you study that you dedicate to medicine, it's also the whole "wanting" that urges us to fight to make it into med school. It's started way before finishing high school, at least for me. We really make it to be a life purpose and when you are on the way (in med school) it feels big and tremendously out of reach. Anyways, I love your videos! I don't miss any of them. Keep it up!
I love watchong your reaction videos! I'm finishing my Medical Transcription degree and these videos (apart from being extremely entertaining) have been invaluable in helping me review concepts. Thank you for all you do to educate and entertain us, as well as for the work you do with your patients. You're amazing!
I just found your videos and I'm so thankful! Ever since I was in the hospital for 3 days I've had a new respect for doctors nurses, etc. And. to find a doctor who teaches while going through guilty pleasure medical dramas is great fun...also I will never not cringe at Derrek's hand scene 😰 thank you for all the hard and fun work you do!
Thanks for another great video Doctor Dan! While I love an excuse to rewatch my fave greys episodes, I also love how informative your videos are! Sadly I don’t think I have what it takes to be a doctor and wouldn’t enjoy it but I love learning things from you! I can really tell how passionate you are and I think it makes you a great teacher 😂 love from the uk!!
Usually not the biggest fan of reaction videos as i feel i am better off just watching it for myself but i love that you have so much insight and information to add to the content and makes the video a worth while watch!
This is a really good episode and a great reaction as always I recommend episode 9 from season 10 as Callie is caught in a malpractice suit and episodes 18 and 19 from season 7
Right now, I kinda feel like the super naive side of my brain is just going "who knows....maybe this time they all live and any search and rescue teams are only an hour away". All while the logical part is just pointing and laughing going "you've seen this episode a billion times, dont be an idiot" as obnoxiously as possible. LMAO!!! 😎😂😂
Thank you doctor dan for breaking down everything for us!! It helps a lot because in the show they have a lot of medical terms and they don’t really define what they mean. I also love learning new medical terms because I in the future I want to become a surgeon.
SPOILER ALERT: Callie operated on Derek and fixed his hand with nerve graft from his sister's leg(is that the case I kinda forgot). I cried like hell during S9E1 because Mark died😫 Arizona's leg was amputated, and her relationship with Callie went downhill because of that(which made me super sad). Cristina and Mer suffered from PTSD of planes(in later seasons Mer still had that feeling when she got on a plane for a medical conference I think?)
Him talking about Derek smashing his hand gives me even more respect to the show for making that accurate, and making his hand a genuine problem for almost the rest of the season.
Honestly my love for doctor youtubers is such a love hate thing 😂😂 You guys are always some of my favorites, and there are never enough videos! What, are you guys out saving lives or something!? 😉😂
hahahah it was very entertaining watching your throught process throughout this episode “is someone gonna die?” “does she die in this episode?” “wow you guys really made me watch the one where Lexie dies” 😂 and of course the great medical terminology breakdown 😌👌
I just stumbled upon your channel and I am SOO glad I did! Your videos are amazing and you explain things so well and in detail but not too much detail lol. Glad I found your amazing channel!! :)

oh man, I wish you would have reacted on this episode while doing a collab with Dr. Mike. I wonder if there's any episode you both haven't seen, could you do it? Great video, btw, your approach is very educational
Awesome video! Expecting part 2, even tho I know I’m going to cry...again (also you should see how frustrated Derek gets about not being able to operate after this)
Hands down Arizona was the best person at handling of her own emotions and making others feel better (by others I mean Jerry) in this episode and also I think Cristina got Lexie to run down her injuries so if she did survive she would still be able to diagnose other injuries (because she is a surgical intern)
Wow, I can't believe people told you to watch this episode. This episode always makes me cry even though I have seen it multiple times, so know what is going to happen. Again, I said it before, but I love how educational your reaction videos are. You inspire me to go back to school and become more than a nurse. Anyway, there are a lot of backstories you missed. I don't want to spoil anything, but Lexie and Mark were on and off again for many seasons. That's why he was telling her he always loved her because, at this point in time, they were not a couple.
I would love to see him react to the hospital shooting episodes (Season 6 ep 23 and 24) I think that it would be super interesting to see how you react to a lot of the traumatic scenarios in that episode, for example: when Cristina had to operate on Derek with a gun to her head

Glad to hear you’re on this amazing journey !
As always, thank you for being so informative over the injuries happening. I'm sorry that we had you watch this episode with Lexie passing but it's a good one. Please keep doing these videos, you're becoming my favorite doctor reacts
Aw that is so kind! And it was a sad episode 😢
This brought back all the feels 🥺 Such great acting and awesome review!
Thank you! 🙏🙏
I have been requesting every doctor to react to this episode. I just found your channel and you're not only a doctor, but a surgeon reacting to this episode. Thank You!
Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🙏
you are so humble with your reactions. I love it. Thanks for remembering that it's a TV show and it's for entertainment!!
Hello Dr. Dan,
Just wanted to thank you for posting this. I am a huge Grey’s fan, which is why I instantly clicked to watch your video. However, I found your commentary in between the clips so interesting and informative.
I am so passionate about medicine and you are great at explaining all these complex scenarios!
This is one of the best MD reacts video I’ve seen with a great explanation to what’s happening without creating more confusion ☺️
hi dr. dan, i love your videos as it’s so interesting to see a real medical perspective on a medical drama, especially grey’s anatomy because it’s my absolute favourite. like a few other comments have said, i do definitely recommend you watch the 1-2 episodes after this. they’re amazing as they show the true aftermath of everyone’s injuries and trauma, and there’s also some new interns!
also if you haven’t already and you’re interested, the last 2 episodes of season 6 are a great (and sad) watch. a man who’s wife died in hospital comes in and begins a mass shooting, and the doctors have to try and survive :(
Oh wow! That sounds like an intense episode. Will put on my todo list. And thanks for watching 🙏
Oh noooooo Lexiiieeee😭😭😭😭😫😫😫😫I think I've never cried more in my life....lexie was the best character and my favorite ship was Slexie😭😭😭
Ohhhh man. This episode 😢
saaame this episode gets me every time :(((
Slexie sounds super weird, but better than Loan I guess...
@@christinamorris5742 😅🤣
@@paulinexong it gets me too
You couldn't have said it better. Keep it up!
It’s an amazing journey - glad you’re on your way! And thanks for the kind words 🙏🙏🙏
I love watchong your reaction videos! I'm finishing my Medical Transcription degree and these videos (apart from being extremely entertaining) have been invaluable in helping me review concepts. Thank you for all you do to educate and entertain us, as well as for the work you do with your patients. You're amazing!
Aw thank you for the kind words! 🙂🙂🙂
Thank you for the kind words! So glad you are enjoying these medical drama reviews! 🙏
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏🙏
Oh noooooo😭
I'm going to cry so much......looking forward to seeing you cry as well😝😁
This was definitely an intense and sad episode 😢
From the educational doctor review aspect, this is my fav episode so far! Thanks Dr Dan!
Thanks Stef!! You’ve been here through them all - appreciate your unwavering support!! 🙏🙏🙏
Doctor Dan you are welcome! ❤️ from 🇨🇦
Usually not the biggest fan of reaction videos as i feel i am better off just watching it for myself but i love that you have so much insight and information to add to the content and makes the video a worth while watch!
Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🙏
This is a really good episode and a great reaction as always I recommend episode 9 from season 10 as Callie is caught in a malpractice suit and episodes 18 and 19 from season 7
Thank you for these suggestions! 🙏🙏
I'll just say it because it's a few episodes ahead where they mention it but the pilot did in fact become a quadriplegic unfortunately
😢😢😢😢
how dare u not cry when lexi died i’m still recovering and i’m on season 15
the fact that you’re a whole doctor but also make time to make youtube vids and teach us all 🥺🥺 that’s why you’re my favorite
Yayy! Yes I love UA-cam but I really really love my day job
LMAO!!! 😎😂😂
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Congrats on 10k!!!
This episode is an intense one. 😭😭😭
Thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Love your channel! You’re amazing 🤩
Thank you doctor dan for breaking down everything for us!! It helps a lot because in the show they have a lot of medical terms and they don’t really define what they mean. I also love learning new medical terms because I in the future I want to become a surgeon.
Awesome! Surgeon life is the best life. Thanks for watching 🙏
Your videos are both very entertaining and educational, thanks for taking the time to do what you do :)
Yay! That’s so kind. Thanks for watching 🙏🙏🙏
This episode tore my heart to shreds. Can't wait for the next part!
Thanks so much for watching! 🙏🙏🙏
This is the first channel I’ve seen review this episode. Thanks so much!
This death still gets to me 😭😭
It’s a sad one 😢
Man I can't wait for want for part 2! Love these reaction videos, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the kind words! Part 2 Coming soon 👍
I was not emotionally ready for this 😭😭😭 kinda glad part two is a few days away.
Good point! Thanks for watching 🙏
Watching supergirl's first episode brings back Grey's Anatomy memories, you know Alex Danvers (Lexie) almost die in a plane crash :3
Wow 😯
Him talking about Derek smashing his hand gives me even more respect to the show for making that accurate, and making his hand a genuine problem for almost the rest of the season.
I really love the effort of the extra clips you edit for explanation
Thank you for watching 🙏🙏
Thankyou so much Dr Dan for taking out time and making these vids. They're really very informative. I love watching them.
Dr. Dan love your videos !!! Love how you take the time to explain everything so well !!! Don’t stop doing these reaction videos !
Will keep trying to get these out! Thanks for watching and the kind words 🙏
Thank you sooo much for reacting, I’ve always wanted to see a professionals opinion on this episode!!
Thanks for watching - enjoyed this episode!
Honestly my love for doctor youtubers is such a love hate thing 😂😂 You guys are always some of my favorites, and there are never enough videos! What, are you guys out saving lives or something!? 😉😂
Hahah this is great. Thanks for your support 🙏🙏
hahahah it was very entertaining watching your throught process throughout this episode “is someone gonna die?” “does she die in this episode?” “wow you guys really made me watch the one where Lexie dies” 😂 and of course the great medical terminology breakdown 😌👌
I got real suspicious when they said Dr Shepard got sucked out of the airplane. Poor Lexie 😢😢😢
I just stumbled upon your channel and I am SOO glad I did! Your videos are amazing and you explain things so well and in detail but not too much detail lol. Glad I found your amazing channel!! :)
Yayy! Glad you’re here - welcome!! Thanks for watching 🙏🙏
Really appreciate you taking the time to keep making these videos, Doctor Dan. :)
No problem! Thanks for watching 🙏
I love how you explain everything! I'm in pharmacy school right now and I love watching the MD side of youtube :)
As always, a great video! Can't get enough of these! I'm so thrilled for part 2 :D
Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🙏
8:53 i cackled, the “oh no,” was so funny
Good luck on this one!
Haha thanks!! 🙏🙏🙏
😭🤧 I’m not crying! You’re crying!
😩😢 RIP Lexie.. You are sorely missed
New subie here!!! I love how you don’t automatically dismiss everything going on. I’m a fan 🙋🏽♀️
😢😢😢
I have been obsessed with your videos. Please keep going!
Aw thanks!! Will keep them coming 🙏🙏
I’m so excited for part two!
Thank you for all the medical information 🙏🏻
Thank you! Coming in a few days. Thanks for watching 🙏
Wow I learned so much from you while watching this, and really loved it!
Thanks for watching and for the kind words! 🙏
I Love how I’m watching grey’s anatomy, the good doctor, bones, doctor house AAAAND REAL SURGEONS REACTING AND SPILLING ADDITIONAL FACTS and I’m like ya maybe I’ll study law
“did you guys ask me to react to an episode where they kill one of the characters?” oh no, not one but two
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Anyone suggested scrubs already?
I'm new to your channel and I really enjoy these reaction videos and the opinion and knowledge of a real Dr.
Thank you for spending the time doing these videos, even tho you must be extremely busy especially these days.
Thanks, this is definitely on my todo list! 🙏And thanks for watching!
Lexie became my favorite character. I cried when she died. I thought Arizona would be the one to go.
You explain things very well and I love the visuals! Keep up the great work!
oh man, I wish you would have reacted on this episode while doing a collab with Dr. Mike. I wonder if there's any episode you both haven't seen, could you do it? Great video, btw, your approach is very educational
yayyyy!!! This was one of my favorite episodes
It’s a good one for sure!!
Awesome video! Expecting part 2, even tho I know I’m going to cry...again (also you should see how frustrated Derek gets about not being able to operate after this)
😢😢😢 thanks for watching!
Hands down Arizona was the best person at handling of her own emotions and making others feel better (by others I mean Jerry) in this episode and also I think Cristina got Lexie to run down her injuries so if she did survive she would still be able to diagnose other injuries (because she is a surgical intern)
First plane reaction from a Doc LOVE IT!!
😀😀😀
Wow, I can't believe people told you to watch this episode. This episode always makes me cry even though I have seen it multiple times, so know what is going to happen. Again, I said it before, but I love how educational your reaction videos are. You inspire me to go back to school and become more than a nurse. Anyway, there are a lot of backstories you missed. I don't want to spoil anything, but Lexie and Mark were on and off again for many seasons. That's why he was telling her he always loved her because, at this point in time, they were not a couple.
Thank you for the insight! And nurses are awesome!! Can’t do my job without our incredible nurses
I would love to see him react to the hospital shooting episodes (Season 6 ep 23 and 24) I think that it would be super interesting to see how you react to a lot of the traumatic scenarios in that episode, for example: when Cristina had to operate on Derek with a gun to her head
Thank you for this suggestion! Definitely on my todo list!
Hello Dr Dan I loved this video. I really enjoyed how much medical information you put in. greetings from Germany 🤗
Thanks for watching and the kind words! 🙏
