I do not know if you read this or not. I have been trying to figure out how to write you both. I have a new book on Democratic President's Inaugural speeches. I was 14 and did not watch it then. I read it and it was the most magnificent one in the book. It brought me to tears and my love for your father filled my heart. I knew he was the main Civil Rights President, but to hear him explain the difficulty for the Black (Negro, back then) Americans to vote, made me feel so much shame for the White Americans hate. I knew I liked him, but I did not get interested in politics until HHH ran for office and my high school teacher gave us extra credit to volunteer for a candidate. Your father is now my favorite president! You both look so much like your mother.
It seems LBJ is starting to get his full due as President. Vietnam will always haunt, but modern America probably has more to do with LBJ than any other president, and people may be beginning to recognize that.
He can hear the voice of Lady Bird and Lyndon in them. Love it!
I like the grace and charm that the family has shown. They were placed in a very awkward position and carried it with dignity
