"Lawkyntang" or the Sacred Forest is the place where the forefathers use to do the traditional religious ritual and every one respect and create harmony through the "Lawkyntang". All the village under a kingdom or "Hima" in khasi has to have and maintain the "Lawkyntang" but with the coming of Christianity many doesn't believe in the "Thawlang Iawbei" the absolute care taker & provider so most of the Lawkyntang disappeared in times.
There are many places to explore in northeast India. so all the youtubers are requested to come over here (northeast) and xplore more places, things and also behaviors of people. Everyone must knw the beauty and its importance.( fm Arunachal Pradesh)
Hi Arup...Dont have the number of the guide. There are lot of guides there, u will be given one guide to you by the management itself. The cost of the guide is 500 and the normal parking and entry fees is about 20 rs and if u take camera they will take 100 rs for it. You can go it's a beautiful experience. Why can't you take the seeds,fruits outside because these are their resources...as u mentioned those trees are used for medicinal purposes...So u can understand from there...
Its not only bout' that.. the forest is being protected.. and if you take things from there outside... then the forest will curse you.. you'll suffer a lot...

There are things which is of historical relevance for locals there, so they don't let people go in alone, which makes sense. And moreover it is also a way of earning livelihood for locals I believe, that may not be the purpose but still it helps for that as well. Short answer, you won't be allowed to enter without guide

Yap it is.. so that u don't pluck anything from the forest. Second it's fun, they explain what is what inside the forest, its nice.
What if I go without guide is there any dangerous animal on there
