Wow. This has to be probably the best remake of this track that I've heard. Most remakes of this track (included official remakes from the games and movies) lean too much on the "rock" side or the "synth" side and don't capture the original track. This is probably the only remake I've found that has the right balance from the original. Love it!
I agree. The OP did another, more symphonic, rendition of this which is spectacular in its own right (don't get me wrong), BUT it is missing the guitar shredding bits. This track needs it imo to be true to the original.

Yes. It’s either this drum heavy ‘super fight battle theme’ or they go so hard on the guitar and fuzz that it’s this generic rock song.

I don't know why but whenever I listen to this song I always see 2 epic boss fights from the game which visualy fits to its notes - fight with Rufus with helicopter flying around and (for some reason) fighting the creature in Wutai Pagoda.

It will be hard to make better than this, but i will try a different approach
+BitSymphony the echo sounding parts the key element and here it sounded like it was a bit too dull to the rest of the song, which was good but that just felt like it was too weak an instrument or not a good enough echo effect that probably was youtubes main fault, but something like this but that part focused on, as i do notice it most as its the unique sound effect of this particular song, just like the fighting breath effect is unique to that one

Gosh this song freaking Rocks! I love all the Organ and Synth work. Especially all the background runs. The melody / counter-melody is freaking brilliant.

Yes, Scorpion did not have the Battle Theme. This theme did not happen until the second reactor they went to.

ACUTALLY... Wrong song! The Scorpion is battled while listening to Bombing Mission.
Eh, it's okay. I prefer the original, but this version isn't bad.
It is good, but the very last note of the opening guitar riff is sadly wrong :'(
I don't know the music, so I can't really explain, but you should finish the riff by the second fret of the A string, which is played right before either bringing the riff up a tone, or start the loop, and this very note really set the next measure on. You seem to have replaced it with one or even two higher notes instead, ruining the flow of the riff. It is extremely easy to hear it on the original recording, I don't really know why you ended up changing this iconic riff, perhaps you like it better this way? It saddened me as soon as the song started...
Then you are also removing actual guitar parts back in the rythm later on in the track... That is really a shame too, again it is very very obvious, so perhaps you prefer it this way?

you do realize this is pretty damn close to the original tho. it was done with a keyboard so the "synth" sound is accurate. Its just more noticeable
