- Thank you Knox County Fire Bureau for sharing this video with us to put on our channel. This video shows you what is involved with calling 911 when you need help and how important it is to give the correct information to the 911 call taker.
I love how calmly these people respond to the fire
Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me atm then you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend recently xD
@Yael Ronald definitely, have been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
I like the video keep up the good work. Only one thing though we don’t walk we run.
😬
Same 40-45 secs or less
Same
It's not run, walk with purpose
@@n8_the_carpenter816 it’s run
I’m sorry did I see that correctly, who tf walks, when they get a structure fire
Was going to comment that but I don’t need to
bro fr im sprinting
Facts wtf😭😂
Then they drive all mfin slow.
Must not get many structure fires in your area. Lololololol
Here"s my question how come some fireman sit backwards in the truck? is there a reason trucks are made like that? also do some firetrucks have a place where fireman are riding in the back holding onto ladders like the kind from the early models?
Rear facing seats on fire trucks are a type of tradition thing thats somewhat are being phased out. Riding the back step has been banned since the early 90s I belive
2:25 firefighters walking to a structure fire wtf
How do you know that that was a structure fire? I feel like it was a different call and just used as a demonstration.
@@limemonster2295 well you shouldnt walk to a damn 911 call regardless of the situation
@@bsci01 Even a CO Alarm with no illness?
@@bsci01 They were out the door in under a minute so it genuinely doesn't matter.
@@limemonster2295 every second counts in an emergency, they could of been out 20 seconds earlier
Did you light the house on for for the video lol
Most likely surveillance cameras
Probably not
No.
101 and 911
y r da cars not stopping
Because no one can drive good in Knox County.
Why are they strolling out to the firetruck and taking so much time getting dressed? My local guys damn near sprint out to the truck jumping into their outfits with each step.
WHY ARNT YOU RUNNING FIRE FIGHTERS!!!!
Doesn't matter, they were still out the door in under a minute which is good.
@@limemonster2295 with all that suit, helmet and gear cant imagine how they would run...on hot day must be hard
They just have to put the pants on and put the rest of the gear in the truck
@@limemonster2295 but they still wear it after dont they ? the breathing apparatus and that...cant believe what it was like on 9/11
Exactly there slow
I wouldn't want them responding to any of my calls. They are talking their good old time to get out of thr station.
I agree
They were in and out in less than a minute 🤣🤣
You get what you pay for, “literally.” Rural Metro is a for profit FD. If you don’t pay for a subscription service they will show up do a primary assessment of whether there is a life safety issue. If they determine there’s not a life safety issue, then they’ll protect any exposures and your house will burn to the ground.
Really? Can you pay for them to put out the fire and bill your insurance company later? Do pets count as a life safety issue?
@@natez9059, pretty sure it’s a pay up front subscription, not an ooops my house is on fire, here’s $100 bucks. As far as insurance is concerned, I would seriously doubt that they would pay for loss due to fire because the homeowner chose not to pay for fire protection. But who knows. Pets are not considered to be a “human” life concern under most cases, because there are too many variables involved when fighting interior fires. But firefighters are humans and most have pets so it’s possible that pets could be saved. No guarantee.
@@AzPoolguy I just wish we could spend our tax money on helping to keep each other safe from fire rather than starting a bunch of wars around the world. I could honesty see someone running back into a burning house trying to save their pets lives. Then the fire dept. would then be forced to get involved.
What the fuck? I saw a video about this fire department from years ago; thought the name sounded familiar. Just have a volunteer fire department at this rate. “For profit fire department.” Those words should never be in the same sentence
Well with all the calls we get if we go volunteer it would make our response time worse and people will be dying at a more rapid pace
Walking to a structure response?
Great and informative video! Keep up the good work and always keep safe!
Kuya kev's wala ka na pong upload?
oh nice your here
They should have access to the GPS on your cell phone now. That’s why they have it in your settings on your phone
Yes
Only question. What engineer is bunker up before leaving
Safety measures I'm guessing
@@limemonster2295 well CSFD is probably the safest fire department in the world we have so many rules on safety I can’t count them, anyways I don’t think this has anything to do with safety because we have no rules on this so just saying not wanting to argue
Ya idk why, maybe I can ask Jeff Bagwell at our next meeting.
I worked at a different department from where I am now and they only had 2 on each engine company. The driver dressed in turnouts before leaving the station and would charge a preconnect, after which we donned an airpack before joining our partner for an interior attack. That was in the 90s. I believe that department does things differently now.
Idk if yall are talking about somethingg else but im a firefighter and we bunker up before leaving and yall fire companys do this so your ready when u arive to any call ita time consuming bunkering up at the call
A for-profit fire private fire department with a 20 year old first-line pumper. The MDT and DriveCam cost more than the pumper could sell for used.
Took me a while to realize that the house with the camera isn’t the one on fire 😂😂
imagine wearing that suit: all those gears and helmet during summer and going inside burning buildings... cant imagine how boiling it is
Let me tell you, it ain’t pleasant at all 😂😫
@@danialhaziq4162 respect to emergency services for it though, they risk their own lives for other people even if they know their going to die
Gencturk92 thats true, sometimes it keeps me going but its all part of the job 🙌🏻
@@danialhaziq4162 its one of the jobs that people fight for unlike teachers who quit because of student behavior...are you a firefighter yourself ? im in London so I dont know how its like in America but im assuming its no different
@@Gencturk92 yes I’m a firefighter myself but I’m from Singapore! 🤟🏻
What if your in the side if the road in the middle of it and nothing is around you
They can find you from your phone.
What kinds of things can we handle ourselves and when is an event so extreme that we know for sure that we definitely need 91? What can we do while waiting for our first responders to arrive?
If you have an extinguisher on hand, use it. If you can’t put it out with an extinguisher, call 911. Ideally, if there’s someone else around while you’re attempting to put it out with an extinguisher, have them call 911 as soon as they can. We would much rather be on our way and you put it out yourself then you lose control and only then call us. While waiting for responders to arrive, as hard as it may be, I strongly advise staying back and out of danger. The most helpful thing you can do in that situation is stay on the phone with the dispatcher, and calmly let them know what’s happening until responders arrive.
What about for a patient with a medical issue?
@@pamelaguzman7516 It all depends on the medical issue. Learn CPR if you don’t know it. It also depends on what equipment you have available. I’m a firefighter-EMT but there isn’t much I can do without a fire truck or ambulance. Work with what you have and always call 9-1-1 if someone’s life is in danger
This isn’t the best example. Y’all strolled to the truck. Then you also didn’t even have a full truck. Who’s going to operate the pump? You need 2 to go into the structure. There simply wasn’t enough people in the beginning where it made sense to leave.
Not the same call, the structure fire was before the video.
Can't here any of that communicating I was told about at the start? Who actually triggers the alarm at the fire station? Who and how is the incident communicated to the firefighters?
The pc prob dose it or the guy controlling it
As a fellow firefighter I know y'all are trying your best, BUT you guys could REALLY expedite after the tones dropped. I am a Volunteer so we move a LOT quicker when the tones drop for a Job like the one in the video.
From the time the pager goes off, including travel time from our homes, we can be enroute within two minutes. just saying.
The clip of them walking to the truck was strictly for the video, It wasnt for an actual Call. Just like the 911 call was scripted and voice acted for the purpose of the video. The shots of driving was real and the surveillance footage was real tho.
Why aren’t people pulling over? Where I’m from people pull over on both sides of the road
The fans in fire trucks are useless. I’ve never watched one video where they had the fans turned on.
Ok.
Hello I like this video it is good and interesting four me to watch also.
Wut cind of rescue fire truck do you have like wun show in the video?
It is from Knox County Rescue Squad, they station with us and I believe it is a freightliner.
Hello what istate in america is this video in please.
This is very well done
Fire station with the slowest trot ever. Not a good response time.
Not all emergencies are just down the road ya know?
@@limemonster2295 Exactly so they shouldn’t be trotting they should be hauling ass to get there quick.
@Agent Milton more specifically, someone complaining of "chest pain"
Are yall dumb this wasnt the same call it was a different call it was used as a demonstration.
We all know those nozzleheads take awhile to get out of bed after taking their mandatory nap
911 and 999
Looks like they're not in a big hurry someone could be dead by time they get there
WAY DID THEY NOT RUN OUT TO THE TUCKS!!!!!!
There are so many videos with firefighters rushing to the trucks, and are out the door in under 30 seconds, not taking there sweet time.
At least 1 minute of that response time wass them taking there sweet time to get out in the trucks, and way do I have a feeling they dident rush to the scene in the driving segment
What do you mean they were out the door in under a minute?
I was taught "We never run, we speed walk."
Is the rescue truck stationed at the fire station a mutual aid thing or how dose that work
Does anyone else go mock 3 to a house fire?
bruhhhhhhhhhhhhh they acting like it is a code call
Was that a house actually on fire?
To be honest why do we need dispatchers you can just call the fire department and the chief can decide what unit goes where
The dispatchers play a vital role in the response of units to calls. Often times, especially for a structure fire, there are multiple units coming from multiple stations, possibly stretching past county lines. A chief could not possibly coordinate that response in a timely manner across these numerous stations, while also handling other elements, such as transfer companies. I see how it could appear as though dispatchers do not do much, but they actually coordinate a lot and are responsible for a lot of the organization when units are responding.
boy what a comment
So many different answers could be given to this but let me narrow down to just two... first, what phone number you going to call? You would need a different phone number for every single fire station with no dispatchers. OK< so you have the phone number of YOUR fire station memorized. What number do you call when you are visiting my house? What about seeing something on the way to the mall? You think we all have the same fire department? Second, what do you do when you call the fire department without dispatchers but there is no answer because they are on another call already? Leave a voicemail? Point being, dispatchers are essential for so many reasons.
Then who would answer for a police call? A medical call? Who gives you pre-arrival instructions like how to control bleeding, perform CPR, deliver a child, administer naloxone, clear an airway obstruction? Who keeps your suicidal loved one on the line and talking until help can get to them? Who finds out where in the house your family member is trapped in relation to the location of the fire? Who establishes command at a scene if the fire chief has to stay back in the station and talk to callers? Who takes the additional calls from people stuck in the mall during a mass shooting? What if you call your local fire station and they're already out on a call? Who is there to answer?
If you don't know what we do, don't question why we do it.
What a dumb comment.
in Tennesee do people not have to move over and stop?
I don't work for the law but I live in Tennessee. Yes they do, just most of them don't care. That's being completely honest, most people here (especially where I'm from in West TN) still have trump signs up and Police USA flags (USA flags with the blue line).
Ya people in Knox County have been known for not being able to drive correctly.
2:20 isn't realistic. Should have shown them outside grilling or sitting in recliners watching TV. Now that's real life! (This is a joke its all in good fun, I'm a police officer, we have to give these guys a hard time)
Haha we understand.
Nickie B next time your department is hiring do what we did and put a bunch of recruiting signs in the front yard of every FD station
For exemple Russian firefighters:
20 seconds to take uniform
10 - 15 minutes to come to call
- - - -
American firefighters:
3 minutes to take uniform
15-20 minutes to come to call
Idk many departments who take that long for a call......
Yes of course, many. But when they long time take uniform, all will burn ;)
Please list some departments in the U.S that take that long
