Also, it is new to me to hear her harmonize so closely and immaculately alongside Amadeo. Also, my mention of surprise applies equally to the "floaty" sound here, as I clearly stated. To me, at least, the days of resembling Sonic Youth or shoegaze-y material are largely gone. This incorporates more of an international flavor to me than ever before w/ this band.

To be fair though, i've only been listening to them since Barragan, and that album had a single called "Dripping" that I feel has similar production to this one, if a bit more stripped down. You're right about Kazu's back up vocals and the constant evolution of their style though, every one of their albums sounds like the natural continuation of the previous one and I have a feeling this one won't be an exception, though it will probably be an exceptional record.
I actually agree with your statement. Comparing vocals from this song to for example any song from misery is a butterly album, its quite clear this songs vocals sounds very smooth and calm and not as nasally and childlike. I like it. Its like an artist settling into his own voice. Amazing to see people acting like snobs and know it alls around music. Just enjoy and share the enjoyment.
