  • Today's video will be showing you how to remove your LS Main Bearing Caps and your LS Crank Shaft, and Crank Sensor, The Crankshaft is one of the most important components of your LS series engine, LS Engines Have A reluctor wheel on the the crankshaft, so always softly set it down if removed and don't bend your reluctor wheel.

    Went to harbor freight bought a couple 16” pry bars for less then $9 had my caps out in like 15 min. Thanks man

    Thanks for making this video! I would just get new bolts and I’m guessing because they are tty or stretch bolts is why that one looks out of sorts. You really shouldn’t reuse them. 60$ for replacements is cheap insurance. If you were to use arp it’s a lot more expensive and then you would have to line hone the crank at your porch machine shop because of the added clamping force from the arp studs.

      Thanks for watching, and great info on the bolts, i would prob replaced them if it was my first engine build or if I was worryed but this is like the 28th different ls engine that I re-used bolts on with no issue yet

      Are you serious? I just did it myself it's not rocket science. If you don't have clearance one one side stick the pry bars on the opposite side of the cap...
