We crossed with Herefords.This cross grows well and makes pretty good beef cattle, with a reasonably good temperament.

Hereford Cows are not the best choice for a crossbreed program with Charolais Bulls, since both Herefords and Charolais Bulls as well as Simmental Bulls all provide similar results in producing high weaning weigh + rapid weight gain calves, which is not what feed lots seek in a weaned calf... typical crosses for the Charolais Bulls that give the best results are with Angus, Shorthorn or even Texas Longhorn Cows not Heifers, plus several other Hybrid Cross (British x Continental) specific Cows like the Stabilizer (aka Marc II: 4-breed composite) or the Balancer (Angus x Gelbvieh).
