This song sounds like my marriage to a man if you can call a man that spent his income on addicted to pornography, spending money on credit m, alcohol ,While I took care of the responsibilities of taking care of two children of the basic living expenses and heath care ect .. so glad to be free of his financial addiction.. I just walked out with my children left all marital assets, signed the file for the worst left with nothing and I’m doing much better physically financially mentally I’m free 1:37

The only part of the song that was owned by the Stones was the Violins repeating medley witch is really from Disney Movie Fantasia just 3 or 4 beats.. the Stones owned the rights to that medley and gave permission to The Verve but sued them for using it any way.. It was wrong and finally made right after 30 years.
