If you’ve ever wondered what parenting really means, I believe this is the answer. Not taking the spotlight from Noah, but his parents deserve tons of credit here. Yes sir, no sir, please, thank you, genuine humility and gracefulness…simple things all parents want out of their child. So while Noah is a rockstar, his parents deserve a standing ovation as well. Awesome video, awesome young man, and just what I needed today.
Parents are a part of it, no doubt, but a lot of credit goes to the kid. Some are highly motivated self starters. I was like that, whereas my brother and sister were not. I was always thinking about how I could make money. I suspect he does too.
Thanks for all of the kind words from everyone. Noah is a great kid, and Matt has really changed his life with his videos. Noah watched him for years before he finally got to meet him, and I think just meeting him was a dream come true. The tools were an awesome bonus! Thanks Matt for being so kind to him! My husband and I enjoyed meeting you too, and I think the video is great.
Mrs Golden - you have an AMAZING young man for a son, and y’all couldn’t have chosen a better mentor than Matt Outlaw. I can’t wait to see the AMAZING things Noah will do as he continues to grow his skills, talent and brand for years to come. Good job on raising such a wonderful young man!
Amazing kid for sure. I want my son to be polite like this when he grows up. Still watch him on that table saw though, the kickback can still be present like any other saw and should be treated like the safety mechanism isnt there, just in case.
You're awesome Matt! Not only do you inspire people all over the place (including me), but you're giving back too. You have really found your calling in life. Keep it up!
I was choked-up as that kid humbly accepted those gifts. What a wonderful moment for him and the rest of us watching! I'm sure he'll have that CNC up and running in record time! All the best to you, youngin'!
The smile on his face speaks louder than words. Matt, you are truly inspirational to all of us that watch your channel. Paying it forward is a tremendous testimony to your character. I don’t even know you personally and i know I’ve learned so much from you and I’m 59 years old and have always wanted to be better. You have made me better and that my friend in my book makes you an awesome dude.
What a fantastic video. Your generosity is matched only by Noah's humility. You could just see him wanting to touch that saw but trying to maintain. The minute you turned your back and moved he couldn't get his hands on it fast enough. What a great video, Nice job!!!
So...I'm 56 and a wife, mother and homesteader. This is the first time I've seen your channel. I was watching while I washed dishes. You made me tear up and you and that young man made me cry. You both also inspired me to keep at it with my builds. :)
Nearly brought tears to my eyes. Noah was shell shocked. I saw he was having just a tough time absorbing what had just happened. 2 amazing tools. You are a true gentleman for doing what you did. I raise my hat.
Trying to get my grandson into woodworking; splitting kindling for him to sell, he needs some bank to start. He goes out w/ Papa to harvest skids not pallets but 10, 12, 16’ skids they can be every type of wood you can imagine. He loves it! I keep telling him money is just a tool it’s the challenge and freedom to creat and then bless others with what they probably couldn’t afford otherwise. Presently for me it’s a hobby I can afford and it’s all from the heart. If I must fund back the hobby and charge it will be as much bartering as possible, sharing the love makes the love grow, peace out.
That was cool of you to gift him those tools. Us older woodworkers can help inspire younger people by getting them over the entry hurdles to the craft. 👍👍
You know, lots of folks might say, "Well, Noah's doing great for a _14 year old_." But no, he's making some seriously high-quality stuff that most any woodworker would be proud to make and sell, no matter what age. The market doesn't lie; if he was making just adequate stuff, he wouldn't be selling nearly as much and his business wouldn't be growing like it is. He's got plenty to be proud of, and it's awesome to see him getting this kind of support. Not only that, but it's truly great to see a young guy with his politeness and humility. If he stays true to that, he will go far. Awesome video all around. Thank you.
It does my heart good to see young people trying to be productive. Noah is the kind of boy we all like. You were generous and it was obvious Noah appreciated your kind gesture.
Great young man with a good raising! He will go far in whatever he does! Thank you for supporting him and giving him some tools to help him! Good video!
So often the younger generations are labeled as entitled and ungrateful. This young man shows that those stereo-types don't apply to everyone. Good on Matt for passing forward the blessings that he's had, and good on Noah for accepting with humility and gratefulness.
I'm in Canada. It's SO lovely to see those from the South are still mannerly to others. I like to see this young man taking care of business and finding a good career. So glad you influenced him! Hugs to you both
Now I have watched many of your videos, BUT I will say this is the best one so far. It is so nice to know that there are still people like you in this world who are willing to help out those who are coming up in this world instead of turning a blind eye to them. Once again as I have said on many of your videos I have watched, WELL DONE my friend well done.
This was an inspiring video. That young man was polite, humble, & clearly surprised at the fine gifts you gave him. We need more Noahs in our world. I wish him all the best in his future!
This is absolutely amazing. As someone who is in almost the exact same position (14yo woodworker suffering from health issues) I can relate with everything Noah has said. The only thing I do different is that in Australia, cutting boards are less of a moneymaker so I tend to focus on comissions for bespoke furniture made with reclaimed material and furniture restoration instead. I learned everything from youtube and I've reinvested everything into the business and have been able to upgrade my tool set to a pretty capable set of tools. I fully agree with what Noah said about the older people having no respect for us young woodworkers to the point where they try to shut you down. I agree that it is very important to not get fully invested into the woodworking and to have something on the side (like baseball). For 3 years, I only focused on the woodworking and it absolutely crippled me. Luckily, I found an interest in freestyle BMX which I do on the side to chill out. This young man is an absolute king for doing what he's doing and getting his work out to a large audience. I can only wish that the highly specific work I do could have a larger client base and reach more people. Thank you so much for promoting this legend's work and I hope he continues to improve as a woodworker.
Not gonna lie ... this uplifted my heart today. What an outstanding young man with genuine humility, respect, and a "get it done" attitude. I despair as a seasoned citizen looking at the mohawks, nose rings and tats to go along with entitled attitudes of so many of our younger generation. This interview gives me hope.
What a great video….all around. Sitting here with tears rolling down my face because of two great people and parents that know how to raise a child. As a retired manufacturing supervisor, I always asked the labor force..”what is your biggest frustration with the job your are currently doing?” And then worked with them on how to fix it. I can see this young man thinking about an issue he has and inventing a new tool. Keep going but most importantly,,,,,have fun.
"Can I do that?" "I guess..." Love how he's so flabbergasted that he can't articulate. Noah seems like a great kid!! Hope there are several follow ups, or better yet he starts his own channel.
Man kids got a bright future, you can tell he’s passionate about woodworking. Wish him nothing but the best. And Matt haters goin to hate but your a good dude man. You can tell how happy you are for this kid
Although I always keep an eye on your channel you have earned my subscription. Paying it forward is such a simple gesture but a powerful message of support and encouragement. Matt what a delightful young man with wonderful manners and respect. Great Job!!
This is awesome! At 14 I had absolutely no “drive.” I was on school sports teams but was usually a benchwarmer because I didn’t apply myself. I didn’t learn solid work ethic until a couple years after college. Noah seems to be well on his way, so great job young man! Keep up the great work!! And thank you Matt for highlighting Noah’s story and your generosity in helping Noah grow his business! I love seeing stuff like this!
This is the best video you have ever put out. This young man is is a breath of fresh air. I am a wood worker and want to buy one of his cutting boards just to show him support.
Watching what you did for this young man and seeing how appreciative he was, is so inspiring. I am so happy that you are able to help this young man advance his career. Keep it up!!! We need more kids like this in the world today.
My first viewing of your channel. Really loved it! I hope you continue to mentor this young man. Noah is so humble and has no idea how bright his future will be from his efforts today. Working with wood while keeping you ever vigilant is serene at the same time. I know many would say that is a contradiction but wood is work and love. One of god's unusual gifts to mankind.
This has become my favorite woodworking channel on UA-cam. You are genuinely a humble and compassionate human being. You deserve every bit of success you find. Thank you for spreading love and positivity in our messed up world.
What an incredible young man. He gives a glimmer of hope that there is new generation coming up. Not just for woodworking, but for mankind in general. Very resourseful, intellighen and above all, respectful.
Noah! Dude! You are amazing and it's so wonderful being able to learn about you. As another young-ish woodworker (21) I can whole heartedly say you are killing it and doing awesome. Never stop learning and never stop showing the world your work. Keep it up my man. - A woodworking big brother
Great video. Very imposing Noah. Not only because of his woodworking skills, but also (in fact mainly) for his polite humble attitude. The future is yours, Noah. You are ten thousand miles ahead in comparison to 90+ percent of the younger generation.
What an awesome gesture on your part to bless this young man with tools he has probably only dreamed of. May God continue to bless you with good fortune and good health. Thank you for introducing Noah I believe he will do you proud. ❤😊😊
What an impressive, well rounded young man! Gives me great hope that there are more like him out there! We too often only see very bad examples of our youth, but Noah's example shows me that there are some very fine young 'uns out there. This guy, no doubt, has some "Hands On" parents!! Hats off to them! Thank you Matt, for sharing this story with us, and for your consistent generosity to help others! Well done!!
That was a very nice jester that's how you keep woodworking going. His parents must be very proud of that young man he is very talented this society needs more young people like him good bless him
Gteat video Matt, Noah seems to have his ducks in a row. Accepting failures is a huge part of life and is what shapes us and makes us grow as individuals. For him to already be there is amazing.
Thank You for making this video! I am finishing up year 21 teaching HS Woodworking. I still get a few students like Noah, lots of hope for the Future through these young ones!
Great job I love seeing young men get involved in making man glitter / sawdust keep up the good work God is faithful and will guide your path, a big fist bump to you brother
That was so great that you gifted this young man both the saw and CNC. You are paying it forward my brother. God will bless you. On a side note I have a number ore Golden relatives in Texarkana and that part of Arkansas. Again, God bless you for what you did for him. He will remember this day for the rest of his life.
That was awesome giving him that machinery, you can tell how happy he was, and imagining the work he's gonna get done, and how it'll transform his business. So young as well!
Noah I'm happy and proud of your accomplishments keep up the good work. Matt I started watching you about 4 years ago and to see how far you've come is a wonderful thing that you are still inspiring. This episode was better than undercover Boss😮😮😮
Brought a tear to my eye, that one. Such a great, talented, and humble young man! He was almost embarrassed to be getting the sawstop, let alone the CNC. I just wish I had as much talent in my whole body as this bloke has in a finger nail!
Sorry I didn’t get to finish my comment, with incorrect spelling for Noah. Was really nice of 731 to donate the tools. I always enjoy your video’s, even though I could be a couple days behind, never miss any

Thank You for making this video! I am finishing up year 21 teaching HS Woodworking. I still get a few students like Noah, lots of hope for the Future through these young ones!
That is truly awesome and a great blessing for that young man
What an inspiring video. Thank you for blessing Noah..
Matt, that was absolutely wonderful!
Absolutely amazing moment for young man. Great content. 731 is doing fantastic.
Good on you for this one Matt. Noah is an inspiring young man. Young folk like Noah gives us old people hope.
That was awesome giving him that machinery, you can tell how happy he was, and imagining the work he's gonna get done, and how it'll transform his business. So young as well!
Love wshat the 731 Crew are doing!!! God Bless you all!
Noah I'm happy and proud of your accomplishments keep up the good work. Matt I started watching you about 4 years ago and to see how far you've come is a wonderful thing that you are still inspiring. This episode was better than undercover Boss😮😮😮
This young guy I very impressive. I like his business-thinking. To be a Maker with 14 years is amazing. 🙂👍
Must have great parents. What a great kid
What a humble young man……inspiring. Great job parents!!!
Brought a tear to my eye, that one. Such a great, talented, and humble young man! He was almost embarrassed to be getting the sawstop, let alone the CNC. I just wish I had as much talent in my whole body as this bloke has in a finger nail!
Two thumbs up on this one. Love seeing that there is hope in the next generation.
Man, you're a good dude.
Sorry I didn’t get to finish my comment, with incorrect spelling for Noah. Was really nice of 731 to donate the tools. I always enjoy your video’s, even though I could be a couple days behind, never miss any
