I can say the boost in popularity is because of both CC and AR, just for different reasons. CC is a wicked baller and people love to see it. AR talks trash and throws bricks, and everyone likes to laugh. Simple.

Ok, Diana Taurasi was good once but in the 6 games team USA played in the Olympics she played in 5 games only scoring 5 points in all of those games. Then only thing Reese leads in are rebounds but most of the rebounds came from her own missed shots from less than 8 feet away
Shaq just needs to understand "his girl" is not so much about basketball as she is about being seen. Aggressive play toward Clark just makes people dislike the other players. If they played good ball with her everyone would get the good press. People tend to like the underdog but Catelin is an exceptional player being bullied so she become the major underdog. Dumb move Angel and troupes that act like her.

Shaq is letting his racial bias show. Most of the people in America could not name 5 players outside of Clark and Reese who are in the WNBA.
