So! Years ago, my best friend and I watched you and Doug meet and marry. You were our favorite couple. For a few years after we talked all the time about you guys and kept up with you through media. She died in 2020 in her mid 30s. There isn’t a single video I watch that I don’t think of her. And this one made me so happy! She use to say this same thing!
I am so sorry for your loss💔. It sounds like you had a great friend and made lots of wonderful memories together. It is so unfair😢 & wrong that she was taken way too soon. Sending holiday hugs🥰!
IKR?! You forgot cleaning the house! We do so much automatically without even thinking about it but when men do something it's like, praise it and yell it from the mountain top! Like, praise them for 'watching their own kids'? That one always gets going me! I'm so happy you guys support each other! And do it humor and love!🥰🥰
In my world, Mommy's and Daddys are equally praised for good parenting. Sometimes, one parent may get tasked wth caring more for the children while the other parent has more of the household tasks. It is easy to feel like you're the parent who is forgotten and not praised. Just remember, only the key players within a family are the ones wth first hand knowledge of how involved their mate is in the family. Each of you is responsible for praising and acknowledging the other. It's not important what others see or don't see. You are very fortunate to have a husband like Doug, and he is very fortunate to have a wife like you.
I think because Dad's are more involved than years ago. I'm 1 of 7 and my Mom got dropped off at the hospital to deliver. Men got a phone call telling them whether it's a son or daughter. So yeah, it's expected of Mom's to do all the things you're talking about. 😊
Nailed it!!!!!!! Its honestly sad how we praise fathers for doing basic child rearing while just expecting it of mothers. WHY? Its as if we treat dads as a hired babysitter who go above and beyond. Hello, they're your kids too. You do not get extra praise for doing basic care duties of a parent just because you are male.
I'm sorry, I am guilty of praising dads! My dad was a hands off kinda Dad, my husband was the same. I am always so envious of women whose husbands are completely involved in every aspect of parenting! You & Doug are so lucky to have each other! You both have each other's backs and are ready to do whatever is needed to be done!
No darling it is called “Magic”. Eg. You are looking after new twin babies and have 2 other children. You get up after broken sleep, organise other children with breakfast, school lunches and dressing, hair, teeth etc then off to school. The mess in the kitchen miraculously is cleaned up, washing in machine, wet clothes out on the line, look after and feed twins, pick up husbands clothes from floor and take to laundry, another load of washing, bath twins, feed twins, make bed, put twins down for sleep, vacuum bedrooms etc. By now lunchtime and mum is running on empty and twins awake. You get the idea, I could keep going, mums are super human and wouldn’t have it any other way.
To be fair families are entirely different than even 30 years ago. Families used to live around each other and help each out to help raise the next generation of the family. Now everyone pretty much has to do it on our own.😢
Its a two way street. "What that mom uses logic and isnt emotional?" "What? That mother knows how to give her man space and not talk his ear off?" "What? That mother doesnt try to guil trip him?" Each partner has their role and set of skills to raise their kids to be good.
Don’t you think that you get enough attention? Let him have his props . And we all know that you are breastfeeding and pumping like millions of other moms so stop showing us
How about some content of your twins interacting with one another? Or some cute matching outfit hauls ? Can you maybe do a question box on Instagram where you ask your Frans what they’d like to see from you and your family in 2025? Just an idea ❤

Omg the accuracy!!!! ❤😂
Riiight lol. The "Dads" that will say "I gotta babysit tonight bro" babysit? LoL imagine mom's said that crap 😂
TRUTH!
And, just to be clear, dad’s DO NOT “babysit” their own children! It’s called parenting!
AMEN 🙏
My son-in-law does not like it at all if someone says he is babysitting. He says “they’re my kids, I’m not babysitting!”
@maryc8552 Good for him😊
Yeah, Moms don’t get enough credit but I’m so proud of all the Dads that are hands on and help like Doug does…they are few and far between

You got that right! You're a phenomenal mommy!
Most dad's these days are much more hands on then other generations. A whole lot more dads work from home than ever before so that factors in
Your amazing mom and amazing family ❤❤
That would be so nice. To get the praise men do
You're awesome Jamie🎉
As Always Thanks For Sharing Your Beautiful Family❣️
