the lambo set has 100 more pieces and both cars, particularly the urus, are more substantial than the jaguars. there's a lot of open space in the jag car (understandably, it's a race car...) and in person, the urus dwarfs the jag suv. whether or not it's worth $20 more dollars is debatable, but you definitely get more substance in the lambo set.
It's even worse in Canada. It costs less money to buy the Jaguar set and one of the new individual cars, than it does to buy the Lamborghini set. The Lamborghini set in Canada costs $69.99, while the Jaguar set costs $39.99, and one of the individual cars costs $24.99. $39.99 + $24.99 = $64.98 < $69.99. And these are the official Lego Store prices.
The urus is one of their newest car designs (for now) in fact and they will be remodeled a little bit every year. But it's still expensive irl. I also can't see $50 here
Hey Jang. Firstly I actually really like the offset wheels! 😂 Secondly, I’m fairly certain that the excessive UK price (that I will be paying) is because we’re paying a luxury tax due to it being “an official licensed Lamborghini product”. Essentially we pay more for the name.
I’ve tried every minifig hair piece I can find and none of them are shorter than the helmet. I guess maybe the bald cap, like on the sushi chef cmf, might work.
I was planning on buying this to make the Urus into a Batmobile, but if a normal minifig can't fit in it, then there's no way I can fit the Dark Knight in without some serious gutting!
I think you mean the Huracan, the sports car of the two. You'd also have the printed Roger Dubuis on the windshield to deal with. I love the Huracan model and prints are appreciated, I just wish the name wasn't on there and should've been left off as a sticker option. I also think the 2 large stickers on the top of the engine area should've printed, very necessary for the look of this car, it looks incomplete without the stickers.
I **LOVE** this set. It was the last of the 2020 Speed Champs sets I got and they all re-ignited my love of cars. The Urus was my least interested car but it ended up being the one I loved second most! The Huracan slays me. The colors, the shaping, the fin, it's all just crazy. My fave of the Speed Champs 2020 though has to be the Quatro S1 E2. I really want to see more Group B cars in Speed Champs!
God, I'm loving these sets. But I wish they were even bigger, lol... I really want a solid 2/4 seater car for my Lego guys, but I also want some extra space for accessories. These guys look great, and can seat two people. But fall absolutely short in accomodating accessories or hair pieces. They BARELY fit in these cars. That green one looks tempting. I have the blue Jaguar one, and I'm probably going to modify the back so it can store accessories in the rear.
Im thinking of getting the jag to modify it to 4 seater, but I also might get this cause the urus is already a three seater and the huracan is cool, which one do you think i should get
I don't collect Speed Champions; I've only put together 2 cars the Ford WRC (75885) and the new Audi Sport quattro (76897) and I think I've decided that I prefer the older 6-stud wide style because they're more toy-like. My wife thinks they're cuter.
This was a really good review. I've found myself in unusually universal agreement with your thoughts, especially regarding the British & European price point. I'm also pleased to hear your pronunciation on Urus as I had no idea how to pronounce it myself, so now I know what to call it.
I am so glad to finally see a Lamborghini speed champions set. While the Urus is disappointing I really like the Huracan. I hope LEGO does more with their Lamborghini license. P.S.-I hope the Technic set is an Aventador
Hey jang, I’ve been watching your channel for over 4 years now . I was just thinking the other day , I think you should create a stop motion film in your LEGO city . It would be so cool!
I really like the urus you guys It’s the best Lego could do with Lego pieces it’s good for what it is and the hurrican is also very good but maybe there should be some more gold on it also the £55 price tag is very expensive for two eight stud wide speed champions and a little start line any ways the new eight stud wide speed champions are very good hope they do other good cars in this new style #exitedfor2021speedchampions
The Asian branding on the Huracan is interesting. Pertamina is the Indonesian national oil company, and Oppo being the Chinese tech company that makes smartphones.
A great feature I would LOVE if LEGO started with these 8 stud wide vehicles are the chair or seat pieces to make the inside much nicer looking. I just wish I could afford more LEGO sets. So I will wait for a sale in stores or clearance.
I spend a lot of time modifying these builds so minifigs could fit better. I was able to get third person to sit straight up in the back of the Urus and the 2 figs to lean in the Huracan. I'm surprised LEGO didn't put in the same effort to accomplish this.
With the Urus, you have to remove the 4x8 on the roof and remove the plates on the floor so the floor is only a total two plates high. It was quite fun maybe someday I’ll make a video to show it off after I try and see if I can tuck the wheels in
I have to say I like the wheels the way they are I like that they're wide because on the wide body Urus is the same way so I think looks pretty awesome the way it is.
I keep getting thrown off by the box size at the beginning. 😆. Just built the Audi Quattro rally car and I think it’s my favorite of the bunch. Still has the same mini figure fitment issues as the others do. What cars would you like to see in the future in this scale? I personally would like to see another Porsche even though I have all the smaller scale ones. Great review!
Been thinking on purchasing this one, but 8 studs is simply too much for my layout. Would not fit completely. Looks cool though. Great review, as always
if lego took some more time or introduced some new pieces, i dont think the minifigure would have no problem sitting inside and the windscreen would not be sticking out ever so slightly
I remember when you previewed these models from just the still promotional images that appeared a couple of months ago. You suggested then that the Urus rear-window/roof profile line could easily be improved simply with a better sticker placement. And how right you were. I hope also that you do still have a crack at modifying the track/laterally protruding wheels of the Urus. That would be really interesting. Looking again at the build of the Huracan, I can see that this is the scale at which we will now likely see an incredibly representative McLaren F1.
The price of this set is quite a sticking point. It is nice, but my main problem with this set is that the other alternative set similar to this, the Jaguar I-Pace and Formula E double pack set, is similar in size and slightly less parts but costs quite a lot less at $30 or £35. Which makes me wonder how much Lego needed to pay for the Lamborghini licence, given this is the first Lamborghini licensed set in around ten years since the Racers themed Gallardo back in 2010.
@@Nemofishman I heard about that and while I'm looking forward to that, I'm not looking forward to the price. And my other worry is if it's more of the same that we got with the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 911 GT3 RS past models; brilliantly designed and engineered model but one we can't appreciate as we can't see the bits move and work. I'd love to be wrong, I hope I'm wrong.
This is the reason why I am not hyped about 2020 sets like everyone else is. I liked 6-stud wide cars so much, and bought those for racetrack and city purposes, but the new ones don't work well with old ones or fit garages...
I can fully understand where you are coming from but, as a person without a lego city, I prefer the larger and more accurate 8 stud wide ones. Some of the 6 stud cars just looked either squashed or stretched
Try bricklink maybe? Brinklink is messy and hard to navigate but can get you good prices... I suggest buy from a seller in Thailand, Singapore or Malaysia for cheaper shipping.
I actually kind of like the wheel width on the URUS while the head clearance (*on the Huracan) really bothers me. But you're onto it - seems like LEGO fibbed 2 of their own rules to get this set out. I'm torn, but the ppp is pretty good.
Definitely can't agree that pricing is decent. I paid $70 here in Canada. $50 would have been alot more reasonable. The 2 car jaguar set is like 20$ cheaper yet it doesn't have many less pieces.
@@apprenricebrickoflegend The Huracan is far superior in my opinion...the Urus is not a bad car but I feel like it doesn't reach the same level of quality we got in the other cars of this line, so it kinda bugs me that you have to spend 60€ (I live in Europe), 40 of which go to a car that quite frankly doesn't deserve them, it would be awesome if the Huracan was a stand-alone set but I'm not gonna spend 60€ for it.
Have two of the 8-stud vehicles, and really think they should have made more effort on the cockpits. It’s great having two figures able to to go in...but the off-set steering wheel and having to jam the figures in takes away from it.
Yeah, they should have made them a little bit bigger, but than they needed bigger fenders, too, to fit the wheels. The small wheels are especially noticeable in the GT-R and the Ferrari. The Audi Sport Quattro on the other hand had relativly small wheels (just 15") in reality so it looks realistic in that regard, although the stance is too low for a rally car.
8-stud-width, new specialised vehicle base, new canopy pieces... But not enough space for a minifig... No centered steering wheel... Just why? Because now they are more than ever like display pieces? Like scale models? Then why bother with minifigs at all? I don't get it.
Hey Jan, i beg for u to make doors that can open up and hoods and a boot please. Those cars are finally big enough to make the doors to have a function
Jang can you please review some of the new call of duty and Halo sets you haven’t done any of them in a while and the way you do them is just different from anyone else on this platform and you really go into detail please🙏🏻
Honestly quite dissapointed with these new sets. Mostly with the pieces not properly fitting unless the character is bald, it's even worse if you try to fit a fig with a hairpiece instead of a helmet. This is an issue on both the lambo's as well as the Ferrari. Also quite dissapointed with how square some of the car designs are even though they've added so much size to these new cars.
Let’s just hope they make a set with only the lamborghini urus , and I hope they make a yellow version , do you think that would be a good idea as they did it with the ferrari garage set , then a they made the 488 scuderia a separate set
Thank you for this review Jang! I like the new presentation 👍 In the future, would you mind show the builds without stickers fir stickers haters like you did in the past with the Mustang? I didn’t plan to get these new 8 studs wide Speed Champions sets, but as the black car seems to look like good without them, i’m considering buy it now. 😊 Warm regards from France 🇫🇷
I want these super realistic cars, but as "normal" cars like range rovers, hatchbacks etc to fill my streets. These don't fit with generic city cars so I either make my minifigs have generic stuff or I make everyone be a millionare
He keeps saying he doesn’t like the urus tires and rims but I don’t really mind them. Also I don’t mind if the huracan windshield is a little loose cuz it’s ezier to take it off
Jang, do you personally prefer the new 8-wide style for the Speed Champ cars? I am still somewhere in the middle. I like the 6-wide compatibility with City and minifigures (it's close enough at least), but I also do like the detail in these new ones. It's tough.
Great to hear that you can fit three minifigs inside the Urus, would have been nice to see that! But I just can't believe that a minifig won't fit inside the Huracan with the roof properly on, that's a very serious issue. On the packaging the minifig somehow fits though, now that's Photoshop trickery taken one step too far! Edit: According to the Brickset review the minifig actually fits: "Thankfully the windscreens of both vehicles fit just fine with the minifigures seated inside, even when they’re wearing helmets"??
Like I showed up close in the video, it's not egregious misfitment, but it's visible & palpable. I've just replicated it again on my desk here with the minifigure's arms way up in the air & completely free, the figure itself pushed as far down as it can go into the chassis, sitting as straight up as possible or leaning as far forward as possible, and no matter what, the windshield on the driver's side is higher than the roof while it's lower on the passenger side and I can clearly see the helmet preventing it from being fully closed down level and I can hear it impacting if I lift it slightly and then try to push it back down.
@@JANGBRiCKS Thanks for the reply, really odd how they claim it fits when it doesn't, I guess they thought it was good enough then. It's actually the same with the Ferrari, just re-watched your review and re-read theirs.
It's pronounced URUS: ua-cam.com/video/KB3PMpNg-aA/v-deo.html
I don’t know how you wouldn’t pronounce it like that
I'm Italian and I approve your pronounciation
Laser Blast Studios probably “yer us”
Urus
Yeah, except he's Italian. You have a different accent, so you generally pronounce it "yurus". He says "ulus" because he's Italian.
I’ve been waiting for speed champion to make a Lamborghini. So I’m very excited to add this to my almost complete collection
I have this but I already build my Urus but Lamborgini HURACAN IS NOT COMPLETED
Hard to believe how much Lego cars have evolved over the years.. they're so very detailed now despite being small
agolloh the 8 wides are amazing, but I also like the 6 wides.
Raptorrr me too
Yeah lego 30342 is such a detailed car car like the details are so astonishing i really think its the BEST lego speed champion car.
I wish all Lego stuff had the same “scale” because seeing these next to a Lego city street is funny
The weird thing about this being $50 is that the new Jaguar 2-pack is $30 for about the same volume of stuff and number of pieces
It is because of "Lamborghini"
I swear, i have been waiting for a lamborghini set for ages, bought this set as soon as i found a store with it.
the lambo set has 100 more pieces and both cars, particularly the urus, are more substantial than the jaguars. there's a lot of open space in the jag car (understandably, it's a race car...) and in person, the urus dwarfs the jag suv. whether or not it's worth $20 more dollars is debatable, but you definitely get more substance in the lambo set.
I have both sets, but I enjoy Lamborghini more than Jaguar. I bought jag just for I pace
Picnic Basket Sam ikr! That’s so weird

$39.99 + $24.99 = $64.98 < $69.99.
And these are the official Lego Store prices.
They need to start introducing new wheel inserts imo
Just got my set and I'll have to say:
Came for the huracan
Stayed for the urus
Urus gang!
The urus is one of their newest car designs (for now) in fact and they will be remodeled a little bit every year. But it's still expensive irl.
I also can't see $50 here
Jeffees yeah, the jaguar set is similar in the stuff you get and only $30.
The jaguar set is $30, and the single cars are $20. If you collect all of them, it averages out to a perfect $20 for each of them
it got that lamborghini sticker on the box tho
Jeffees yeah, that’s a bit overpriced
I really want a classic yellow Lamborghini Murcielago in Lego now, large scale

The mini figure not going all the way down is a huge issue as no mini figs with any hair peice can fit in it
That's a bummer. 😕
Some hair pieces are flat enough for the roofs of the new cars to fit on. Unfortunately the Huracan driver's spiky hair is too tall.
I’ve tried every minifig hair piece I can find and none of them are shorter than the helmet. I guess maybe the bald cap, like on the sushi chef cmf, might work.
Ishaq Razaak Same with the F8, no hair and helmet can fit.
That some r/mildyinfuriating stuff
I’ve noticed a few of these new speed champion sets have issues with the mini figs not fitting in the car. I’m surprised LEGO let that slip.
Why do they keep bunching cars together in sets.... Sigh. I might have bought the Huracan but I'm not spending that extra 60 % for the Urus.
I agree
I like the Urus but it would have been better if they were sold separately
I want the urus cause its a three seater,i can play legos with my siblings without having to give them a car now, finally
They do it so that they can sell cars like the Urus, which likely would not sell otherwise, and so they can mark up the price and make more money.
I agree, want only Huracan too.
The amount of stickers is absurd.

This is an issue on both the lambo's as well as the Ferrari. Also quite dissapointed with how square some of the car designs are even though they've added so much size to these new cars.
things like the windscreen not being large enough make me wonder if there are legitimate design testers at lego, and not just computer simulations.
We need some more Speed Champions: BMW M3 GTR, BMW i8, Lexus, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Honda (s2000) , Nissa Skyline GTR 34, Chrysler C300.
I really hope LEGO makes an Aston Martin DB 5 i know they made the car as a creator set but I really want one in this scale
My favorite is the Urus
Quite disappointed in the black one’s windshield. That issue should NOT happen, and it’s happened like TWICE now?
Good vid BTW I am getting the ferrari f8 tomorrow ur review was amazing
I am a big fan of the 8 stud wide cars! So for me, the price is a non-issue.
Somewhere in Denmark, two Lego marketing twits are high-fiving.
Good Morning Jang!
GENERAL JANGBRICKS
There both nice cars after seeing this prefer the URUS over the Hurajcan strangely but am a bit annoyed at the U.K. price
If you do get this set. Be in mind that the green on the urus isn’t matched but it is very hard to notice
He keeps saying he doesn’t like the urus tires and rims but I don’t really mind them.
Also I don’t mind if the huracan windshield is a little loose cuz it’s ezier to take it off
Well, I was more interested in urus because I prefer street legal cars instead of racing-only
xWarrior same
Jang, do you personally prefer the new 8-wide style for the Speed Champ cars? I am still somewhere in the middle. I like the 6-wide compatibility with City and minifigures (it's close enough at least), but I also do like the detail in these new ones. It's tough.
This is a bizarre combination of car choices. Seems more like a big advertisement than to let kids build Lambos
