Officials should've had a better eye on the player on the wrong sideline and prevented that entire sequence. And if one had been properly watching that during the dead ball period, Winston would've copped 15 yards for unsportsmanlike
@Laron.G Nah. Review might show who started it, and that Miiight have netted Winston and ejection or a fine. But speaking as one myself, the officials are supposed to keep an eye on potential sideline action and he prepared to get involved Before a punch is thrown. Replay doesn't help with that
Honestly 49ers have a lot of dirty players on their team and do a lot of shit talking, they get away with it and the teams boil over on them, In a way its strategic, but thats why . I see a lot of their games and they have a lot of those type of players on there even now, Deebo being the main one .
My favorite was TO going to the cowboys star and getting clocked, getting right back up, and every cowboys player goes right by him to the fight instead of getting him off the star. Funny as hell
I agree with you, those shouldn't be considered offsetting penalties. It would be one thing if both happened during or both happened after. But one happened during the play and one happened after. Completely different timeframes.
@@jackforte7792 I didn't see it as dirty at all. Alonso already committed at full speed to making a tackle, his body was in motion, and Flacco slid super late. Nothing from the dirtiest player in NFL history Vontaze Burfict? And you left out one of the dirtiest hits ever, when McMahon got slammed to the turf by Charles Martin.
Here are some I would have included: --Mel Blount picking up Cliff Branch and piledriving him headfirst into the dirt, Steelers at Raiders 1976 --in that same game, Raider safety George Atkinson knocking Steeler receiver Lynn Swann unconscious with a forearm to the back of his head --Lion linebacker Paul Naumoff diving headfirst into Jet quarterback Joe Namath's knee, while Namath was lying on the ground in a 1971 preseason game --another Lion, special teamer Leonard Thompson running full-speed downfield and slugging Giant punt returner Leon Bright in the head while Bright was catching the ball in 1982
There's a fine line with some of these. If you're a defender running full speed towards the QB and they throw it a split second before you hit, there's no possible way you could stop. It's out of your control. I miss watching football 20 years ago when every game had great hits and the refs let them keep playing.
