Fun Fact: before WW2, Japan and Poland were such good friends that Poland initially refused to declare war on Japan when Japan joined it. And after being forced to be the British, the Japanese government straight up rejected the declaration of war.

This is a real alliance proposal made by promethean polish elements during the 1905 Russo-Japanese war.
Several polish leaders went to Tokyo to negotiate the possibility of an alliance, in case of a greater polish uprising, what they hoped would lead to a general uprising from several other oppressed minorities under the russian thumb.
The japanese were interested in the deal first, but later abandoned it, after they started winning the war hard. Though polish resistance received some monetary support from the japanese and most of that money went into purchasing weapons and funding underground training camps, what came to be useful when Austria and Germany started to enlist polish freedom fighters into their free polish army.
