Lynn Family Stadium has raised the bar for all of the other teams throughout the USL. The area around the stadium needs development, but the stadium itself is super nice. Also, if you are driving in downtown Louisville on Interstate 65 North, and you get on what locals call Spaghetti Junction (because I-65, I-71 and I-64 come together), after you take the exit to I-71 East the stadium will just pop up out of nowhere; you'll see from the open end into the stadium itself.
Weidner Field just completed its first season and it was magnificent. A beautiful stadium right in Downtown Colorado Springs near the US Olympic Museum. First class facility.
Really enjoying these videos.... Couple of things though, the lack of roofs on a lot of the NFL stadiums is because the games are often played in cold weather and fans want the sun to warm them up. Another thing is that the trend of the three sides stadiums is actually due to the MLS owners wanting them to be easily convertible to concert venues. In the past this was basically done as a hedge if the MLS didn't survive. Finally Dillon stadium in Hartford actually hosted 70s NASL soccer back when it was the top US league.
I've been to Al Lang Stadium for a Rowdies game. As mentioned, it was built as a baseball stadium and hosted spring training for decades. However, the stadium is still in good condition and the atmosphere was great for the soccer game I attended. Also, if you stay at a hotel in downtown St. Pete, you can either walk or take the downtown shuttle to the stadium. Also, there are many great bars/restaurants in St. Pete to visit before and after the game.
RGVFC fan here, it’s not very windy to begin with in south Texas so wind is not an issue in the stadium at all. The big problem is that it’s really hot year round and if you sit in the West stands you will have to face the blistering sun 😅
You forgot to mention how Birmingham Legion are supposed to be moving to the new stadium being built as we speak. Protective Stadium. And it will be the biggest in the USL when it's done and they move in.
I was a ball boy at American legion stadium for the Charlotte independence, I've also been to the Charleston battery stadium and had a game on one of their facilities

As an RGVFC fan, you want the wind cause it gets real hot down here in south texas, but the wind doesn't affect the match tho, just gives the fans a nice breeze
I’ve been to HEB Park a couple of times and I haven’t found the wind to be much of an issue probably due to the fact that most of the wind comes from the east in the area and the stadium’s stands block the wind from the east. The stadium may be too large as it is rarely filled and tickets get really expensive. But the atmosphere is amazing as fans down in the Rio Grande go all out for soccer.
OKC is actually getting a brand new soccer/rugby stadium built in downtown okc. It’s going to look really nice and hopefully gives us the nod to be an MLS team!

Even though the Rochester Rhinos are on hiatus, they actually still belong to the USLC as they still pay league dues every year. They have a 14,000 seat soccer specific stadium a mile from a downtown waterfall. they built it because they were going to MLS but like Sacremento thats not happening anymore.
They were trying to go but after winning US Open cup and beating 4 or so MLS teams the expansion went down the rankings and got passed over several rounds of mls expansion. The stupid politicians in Rochester and Monroe County screwed the Rhinos and their chances of an even better stadium with better access and in place where soccer moms would be comfortable brining the kids and not downtown ROC. Yes, I lived there and was member of the Stampede, the supporters group. I luckily “escaped” from ROC and New York State. I came back winter I moved to move wife and son out to AZ with me and got a preview tour of the stadium nearing completion.

Ill never forget sunil gulati at a rhinos home match one time said "its not a matter of IF rochester will join mls, but rather when they will" dreams were shattered.

Indy Eleven is currently building a new stadium. They started off at this stadium when the club was founded. This is IUPUI’s college stadium. After playing there for 4ish years they began to play at Lucas Oil Stadium (NFL Colts). Since they are building a new stadium with the intention of becoming an MLS team, they stopped renting Lucas Oil and went back to IUPUI Carroll stadium during the construction of the new stadium.
Too bad Timbers 2 aka T2 took 2021 off. They would've began play in Hillsboro Stadium in Hillsboro, Oregon. They used to also play in both Providence Park (Home of the Timbers and Thorns) as well as Merlo Field at the University of Portland. One plus about the games at Merlo as a former STH is free parking!
If I was the USL, I would take the best supported 18 teams. Go single table. Relegate with league 2. Get rid of any MLS affiliations (no team 2's). And finally, try to get most top teams into similar stadiums as Louisville. Build stadiums that are 10k to 15k at 50 to 75 million, and with no MLS expansion fees, this league can have a 12,000 attendance ave and MLS with TONS more money to get into is still only at about 22,000 ave.

The Phoenix Rising own a modular stadium, they've actually moved their entire stadium to a new site before the season started and even expanded it
I think one of the Clubs in the new Canadian Premier League has one as well. They put it up for the season, then in the off season, it’s a park.

Charlotte now has an MLS club that plays at Bank Of America Stadium, the Independence actually dropped down to USL League One for 2022.

Fifth Third Bank Stadium was a soccer-specific stadium, but KSU now plays Football and Lacrosse there. It is much better used as a soccer stadium.
