I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 150K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

I only want to be financially comfortable, support my family, get my kids on the property ladder, and enjoy my retirement when it arrives. I want to consolidate everything into a safe investment, but I have many random companies that are at a loss from my previous investments. Should I sell them at a loss and reinvest that money into my top stock picks or leave them as they are? I'm just wondering and scratching my head. I'm not interested in becoming rich or super rich. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

Only at age 40 this year did I decide to start investing and living a more meagre life. I have a very late start and investing in indexes in Canada is a bit harder than in the US but anything at this point helps I guess. The money you "keep" out of your paycheck is the only money that is YOURS. The rest is already "owned" by the gasoline people, the grocery people, your landlord or the local government people, all the ones you have to pay to be permitted to live.
N.3 is by far the most important, and the most frustrating for me. Plenty of people complaining about landlords, without understanding how damn hard it was to put together the capital for the first rental. Yeah, sure, once you have 3 or 4 and your day job life is easy. But when you are still paying off your 1st one, life is most definitely NOT easy. I remember packing plenty of home made lunches while my coworkers were ordering takeout every single day. I remember cycling to work, while my coworkers had their brand new car. And so on. Wealth doesn't appear from thin air. Hell, even if it was daddy's money, that money still had to come from somewhere and that somewhere usually is savings from a normal job.
