Tidal Wave by OniLink is the newly verified Top 1 Extreme demon. It's a 3 minute long wave based, beach themed level which focuses a lot on consistency, and wildly difficult waves. I have previously said I have been hyped for it, since it's a different level thematically than every other top 1 we have seen in the past, making it stand out a lot more than most other levels. I am clearly not good enough to judge the gameplay, but it seems fun, and from what other top players have said... IT IS! I hope this does get rated, and again, congrats to zoink and onilink for finally getting this out :)

Detail regarding the ending:
I was the open verification contest winner and had the level within 3 runs and have been doing Tidal Wave for almost a whole Year. Though it was a Top 15 Version which was changed and buffed from Zoink once he took verification. Felt shocking to be moved however respect goes out to them.
Crazey made the thumbnails which drawed attention for Tidal, and me, them and Zoink made Tidal possible for the public with Oni altogether.

It was better than the Top 1. More consistent and not unnecessary spikes or chokepoints. I don't feel my opinion mattered once I was removed though.@@synkx
a neat thing about this level is just the fact that it gives off positive vibes rather than having death as its theme

Both people here are right, 50k attempts on Tidal Wave tale more time and effort than 100k in acheron, but, it still is quite low considering how much other top 1 verifications took.

Im glad levels like tidal wave are starting to get released. Its nice to see a shift over to longer levels where consistency is the challenge rather than super short challenges.

I agree, this is in my opinion the best top 1 since Zodiac.
I think this level is a breath of fresh air. "Top 1's" have been getting increasingly more like extended cancerous challenges, and this feels like an actual level. I really like it.
nope this is one of the few levels that do feel like an extended challenge. 70% of the level is just wave.

I personally don’t mind hell themed levels, as long as the gameplay is good. If the gameplay is fun to play, I don’t mind it. I don’t really care if there are many hell themed levels as long as the gameplay is good.

I love this level already, I’ve been playing it mainly in 0.5 speed like you but it seems really fun. Also I think the level looks great and it’s nice to have a new themed top 1 we’ve not seen before. Probably my favourite top 1 since zodiac
My biggest issue with the decoration is that it feels a bit off, maybe it's just the black mixed in with the yellow that doesn't look that good to me. But I think the sunset part looks pretty good in comparison. If the colors were tweaked a little I think it could be improved a lot
if the background wasn't static it'd look a lot better
the block design and deco as a whole needs a revamp
there's lots of issues with the deco, which is why i really don't like this level. i like the idea of shifting away from red hell demons, but i want it to be properly executed, and tidal wave really does not deliver

@@Anxmaly666 I think the worst part is just the colors and overuse of detail/copy paste that really distracts and kind of makes the whole thing feel unbalanced. Some more motion or depth would help too

I like how no one knows that if a level is laggy you can just pause the level and hit the retry button so it doesn’t lag. More effective on higher hertz though. It won’t work anymore if you pause and continue the level. But I doubt anyone will see this 🤷

My favorite top 1 in recent times tbh, I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the song and the gameplay looks really fun!

This level has really grown on me since it was showcased. I actually really like it now.

I hate when people say that the detailing is bad, its actually great and really vibrant and on the other hand people love acheron which is almost like a full grey level. it seems like people just aren't used to non-hell themed levels.

The type of wave gameplay this level has is the type that I really enjoy (if it were easier of course) and I'm glad it's not just inconsistent, frame perfect timings, 7cps spam gameplay
It really like the beach part and the block design gives me a mosaic vibe

The beach background’s simplicity and saturation in contrast with the detailed bright yellow and blue blocks is probably what makes me see this as pretty ugly but the end and the cave section look really cool
The fact that the levels posses a song that is popular in Rocket League makes me like the level more than usual

Acheron actually accomplishes what it's trying to do (modern 1.9 level) while tidal wave just looks like a mess of colors with copy and paste

I think the problem most people have with the deco is that it’s very samey. Like the wave parts will have the same decoration with little variation for their entire duration, so it gets a little old since it’s such a long level

I think the reason why crazey was in the endscreen is because he made the thumbnail for onilinks showcase, I don't think he would've tried to verified it since he has only beaten a few extremes
I played a bit in practice in slow speed and this level felt super fun!
The only issue i have with this decoration is that the little glow flashes during the drop feel completely lifeless but that’s really about it, the rest is okay at worst, pretty good at best
