TBC Brass Band on Bourbon - 'Let's Go Get Em'

To Be Continued playing on Bourbon and Canal, their first show since the loss of their bandmate Brandon Franklin who was murdered Mother's Day, 2010 in a domestic dispute at the age of 22. Brass Band musicians participated all week long in second line musical tributes in Brandon's honor. He was a good dude, very beloved and deeply grieved by all that new him.

This is exactly what I love about new Orleans. The energy these brass bands give off. Good vibrations, and you can definitely hear the beat of the African drum. I can just imagine the ancestors dancing in Congo Square in Armstrong Park.

I love these guys! I'd seen them play on the street in 'nawlins several times, and loved it. Sadly, I didn't see them the last time I visited. Hope to see them next time.
