If this seemed too evil, by all means, evil is worth exploring. This one (and video) is sublime, viscerally despondent without ever losing that subdued mood, which is probably what I love most in your music; there's never anything histrionic. Physical, tangible misery with cosmic implications is too damn rare in music.
I can definitely see what you mean when you say it feel too "evil" to fit into your other albums. This feels like a sort of branch off, in a good way, from your larger body of work and I think stands very well on it's own as a single.
I always dig the videos you post with your music. This song is great. Glad you posted today! "what an ugly face. glad it aint mine" so many great lyrics. "is it sewage or a water line?" the distorted vocals in the background with the music at 4.25 is probably my favorite part of the song.
making the video is the fun part for me. was worried someone would see me filming this one and call the cops since it was 3am on a Monday and i was wondering around in my backyard with a kitchen knife and a flashlight. happy to hear the lyricism is hitting as i hoped it would! thank you for the love. ❤
