Thank you for the update on the shad fishing and how many people are out there and if they are catching or not. This is very helpful for those who are thinking to go
I love the row so much! Frying them or put into soup is amazing! Yes those rocks bruised up my legs so many times from tripping and falling on them. I will definitely do a catch and cook with them when I’m back out there to catch some. Thank you so much my friend 😃🙏
Yesterday morning wasnt too bad, maybe a dozen or two people fishing. Landed 6 in about an hour and a half. 5 males and one female. The one question I have is that everyone had a five gallon bucket to put their fish in. I had a stringer. Is there a reason for the bucket? I hope I didnt violate any local edicate by using the stringer.
Yea it’s gotta be the weekday for less people and no wonder it’s packed today because it’s the weekend. Good job on landing them! People like to use buckets including myself because it’s a lot easier to carry them up and there’s no rules on if you should use a bucket or string. You’re good my friend and fish on! 👍
I totally forgot about the free fishing on Oregon and you told me already on my earlier video lol. Sounds like Oregon was hotter than Washington side! Good job brother! How long were you out there?
@@washingtonlife Yeah dude. Every year I go me, and my family usually get like 100-fish daily when season is open for shad. We use like one rod with three fishing hooks, and we get like 1-3 shad every pull and we don't recast our lines out.
@@ericn1487 you’re the first one I ever heard that use 3 Shad darts. I only seen people only use 1 Shad dart and never seen anyone use 2. If you get 2 or 3 Shad on the line, wouldn’t it be too hard to pull in? How heavy is your main line?
@@washingtonlife About 20 for the line or heavier depending on the current. Getting 2-3 shad on the line isn't heavy bruh it's easier than pulling one fish and less work because it's 3 fish sometimes on one main line.
@@washingtonlife haha looking forward to it! No, but I so want to. Went looking for smelt on Memorial Day up in Whidbey Island but I guess I’m too late. People were only catching herring at the pier. If you ever hold a catch and cook or foraging class, I bet you’d get so many sign ups!
@@HappyOutdoorsPNW oh darn on missing out on the smelt run. I heard herring are a lot tastier than smelt and very easy to fish for. I’m thinking about fishing for them next year in March. Foraging and cooking all together would be fun! Each people have to come up with a dish to make from whatever we forage for 😃

@@washingtonlife The three of us kept about 30, it was tough. Had a snaggy spot. Yes, we were there for about 5 hours.

NICE ! YOU SHOULD ALSO GO THERE AND CACH SOME FISH😊🐠
Pure pack for parking cause June 1 and June 2 because it's free fishing and no need for a fishing license. Caught like a 100+ shad on the Oregon side.
