These are really trying times, Angie. Most of us are experiencing mental breakdowns, and I must say, your videos are a lifesaver, you help me overcome depressing moments. I seriously cried my eyes out like ugly cry last night too! I have a big family and we are ALWAYS together for Christmas but will not be for obvious reasons. The cases have spiked like crazy where I live so it will be just me, my husband and my little boy. I’m making the best of it and keeping a happy face for my son, but I will totally be missing my siblings and my dad 😞 I feel ya girl. Time to bake the pain away!

I lost my mom in 2012, and now my dad was just diagnosed with vascular dementia and is in the hospital awaiting care center placement. Thankfully the hospital allows visitors we're still able to see him each day.

I know trying to hold on to Christmas is getting to me, too. I think life is very different abd we have to be strong. This year has given me time to be at a slower pace. It might seem lonely and it is. But I, personally am reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. Gratitude! That is the key. Be grateful for what we have

Angie. How wonderful of you to continue on using your grandma’s recipe. I absolutely understand your emotions in regards to your grandpa. My grandma had dementia and even tho she’s no long here with me physically, she will forever be in my heart. She left this earth almost 2 years ago and I still cry because she was such a big part of my life. Now I catch myself doing many things because I know it’s what she would want me to do. I can only imagine how difficult and different it must be for you to share something so emotional and private. Thank you for all the work and passion you put into your posts and videos. You’re amazing. Btw. the presents from your parents are so nice. Jim Shore decor is such a great way to bring Disney into the house.

I love these vlog style videos! Your content is so refreshing, you're really genuine and every time I see you posted a new video I honestly can't wait to watch it. Sometimes other content creators put up videos that are very superficial and un-relatable, however every video you post seems so authentic and fun! I love how you promote small businesses and that you are into holiday decor, because I'm the same way! Promoting being unique will never go out of style and you've definitely reminded me that I don't need to fit into the cookie cutter mold

This is not an easy time for anyone. I've been in Canada for 10 years and this is the first time I am spending Christmas in Canada, and by myself. I go every year to visit my family in Europe but this year I can't because of the obvious reasons. It is not an easy time to go through, especially by yourself. I keep telling people I am ok with that, but in reality I am not, and I cry sometimes. But this will pass too, and I just imagine that the next year will be much better. Stay strong Angie and everyone, this will pass too, and soon enough we will be able to spend time with our loved ones and we will appreciate everyone and everything much more. Merry Christmas everyone!

My Grandmother used to make something really similar but she called it steamed pudding. She wrapped it in cheesecloth and put it in a steaming basket over simmering water. She served it with Bird’s Eye Custard. Yummy!

I'm in the same boat. We live in Texas and our families are back in Scotland. My mum has Alzheimer's and dementia and my dad is her caregiver. On Saturday they will be going into lockdown. Thank Dog for Skype, even with the 6 hour time difference it's good to see them on Christmas Day. We normally get to go home for Hogmany but not this year thanks to COVID. But we will make do and be happy that we are all still here and somewhat healthy, and who knows maybe sometime next year we'll actually get to hug our family again. xx Much love, Merry Christmas from our house to yours. My fiancé and I will not be spending Christmas with our families either because Covid is so bad here in CA. We are sad but know it’s what’s best for our families. So we decided to do a Christmas brunch with mimosas just us two and counting the days till we can see our families 💕🎄

I totally know how you feel. With my Aunt testing positive and me possible being positive, this will be the first year I don't spend with my sister. Christmas has Been hard enough since our mom died but we always had each other and our special Christmas traditions to make it a little better and this year she is pregnant with her first baby and there's no way I would take the chance on getting her sick. I'm immunocompromised and on top of that I have chronic pain and we usually do Christmas Eve with my husband's family where we do white elephant and other fun games. We do breakfast Christmas morning with my Grandparents and usually have dinner with my sister and her family. And my 19 year old moved out so its my first Christmas without him. I'm so sad none of this is happening this year. What makes it harder is so many of my friends and family don't follow the guidelines so we are the only ones missing out. But we decided to do movies and Chinese on Christmas day to save my back and today is Christmas eve so I'm gonna a do some baking and just chill and enjoy my decor and my husband said he's gonna do gingerbread houses with me and I'm super excited! Well and tidy a little too lol
