    Great info, except the give away / squeeze page strategy seems like it is in direct conflict with Amazon's Selling Policies and Seller Code of Conduct "Pay for or offer an incentive (such as coupons or free products) in exchange for providing or removing feedback or reviews". I believe Amazon has it's own built in give away system, can someone confirm this?

      Ryan i love everything you are saying... however, i feel the major thing missing from all these viseos is more emphasis on getting started. I love the hype videos but really wish someone spend more time on teaching us step #1 and how to find that product and actually get the product developed. I spent 5k on provisional patent and trademark and now im having a hard time getting a prototype made so i can get a design patent and bring my product to the market. Just wiah there was more on these steps. Anyway thank you for your knowledge...

      They gave tips and not there secrets to how exactly they make money. PLUS for it to have any negative effect on them, they would have to give specific product names they tested and made a profit on. This is not as easy as hear and do. He is giving you great tips that you would go and test it fit yourself to see how that works. If what your saying is true, that he is giving his secrets and creating more competition. Why aren't you rich or at the very least making more then decent money?

    • @zevlibin8892

      Not really, the key is to do it creatively and position your product in a competitive way. I agree with you, just listing your product on Amazon and hoping for the best won't work anymore. Nowadays it involves perfect images, in best case also videos, fully optimized listing and especially additional marketing/advertising. The future is in doing your own brand and not selling basic things.

      BaldManLogan true n false. If u find a product or several u can make lots of money if it sells. The consumer will buy it. But - you just can't do what they say in this video and ask for reviews on Amazon anymore, outright. But there are ways around it and not against amazons new TOS and here's the kicker , I'm not going to say cause then that'd be against TOS when everyone does it which is the problem with these followings. Everyone does it and then nobody makes money.

    First off, this persons success is not that big a deal, Ill explain why, I started an Amazon business back in 2013 and in my first 12 months I made 2.1 million at a 17% margin. That is after Amazon fees, shipping fees etc. The trick however is sustaining that business model which is the greater challenge. You want to know how to make money on Amazon, do your homework, research product, and familiarize yourself with Marketing, Rankings, Customer Reviews, etc...Then sell product you physically own stock on, use FBA when it makes sense, People always want a quick solution, the bottom line is, read, learn, implement there is your selling strategy on how to make money. There is no get rich quick scheme here, its being a student of the game.

    The thing that I don't understand is this: If all these guys with podcasts and webinars have really made tons of money on Amazon, why are they spending so much time recording podcasts, writing ebooks, and creating sites that, for a fee, will teach us all how to get rich on Amazon? If I got rich on Amazon, I'd be off enjoying my money. Certainly not recording a podcast and charging people to learn the ways that I used to get rich.

    • @NazZimou
      @NazZimou 8 років тому +14

      Here's a quick example: A best selling author can write a book saying 'how to make a million $'. In theory, everything written in his book is good but not in practice. Then the reader will assume it works since the author is a millionaire. But what the reader fails to realize is that the author made a million $ by selling a book on how to make a million $ :)
      These people didn't get 'rich'. The click bait is most of them, when they say ''I made 100k a month'', it's not 100k profit, but sales.
      If you go on ebay or amazon today, most products are so cheap and most people offer free shipping that it's almost impossible to make a living profit except if you're a multi million $ company that sales a lot of items per month with a lot of employees, since profit is small per item.

    • @woodfamily5229
      @woodfamily5229 8 років тому +3

      yaserhu Thank you for reinforcing my suspicions. I feel badly for the people who scrape some money together and throw it away on something like this. I've learned that, while getting rich quick may work for a tiny few lucky ones, most people need to actually work hard and keep working hard to get rich and even then, the chances are slim. I'm okay with that at the end of the day. I didn't used to be, but I've come to understand it and be content.

    Another amazing way to make money on Amazon and on the surface sounds flawless. Coupons are a BAD idea for your launch! Sellers have lost all their reviews, not just the ones related to a coupon, but ALL their good reviews when Amazon got a scent and determined they had used coupons as part of a review-gathering scheme.

      Jeff croker Have done it, wasn't the amazing result i was expecting, invested lots of money, lost lots of money, obviously through cost of units but also paying FBA fees. No trouble getting the $1 sales but getting reviews even after asking nicely for them via emails is a different story, only got a few from 100 sales. Organic sales didn't pick up as has happened for our friend in video. I know of many others who have lost their reviews from this type of model - 5 star reviews not the 1-4 stars. Amazon is switched on.

      Would you have any specifics on that, like what Amazon rule this would violate? Given they expressly allow giving product away for free in turn for promise of review (as long as you ask for unbiased review and give product beforehand), why would they mind if you give a coupon for the same?! and where does it say that? I haven't seen it anywhere in the TOS...

    Please Note Amazon has changed their ToS stating that you cannot incentivize reviews with discounted products. This is not the ethical way to obtain reviews. Amazon will shut down your listing for this behavior. Please refer to this article www.amazon.com/p/feature/abpto3jt7fhb5oc

  • @metainstincts

    The idea is great, it helps you to rank your product on Amazon to get sales. But here is the biggest problem: When your product ranked on the first page, getting natural sales, but some one else came in and list their OEM product against your listing, at lower price, and dominating the buy box. What should you do? You basically lost all the sales...You can't block the seller, even though you have trademarked your brand...Amazon won't block the seller for you because you don't own the Amazon listing page, anyone is allowed to sell on any Amazon listing (Amazon policy).

    Ryan Daniel Moran taught on youtube.com how to build, use, succeed in business Amazon.com!
    I come from the first way to do business, 'brick and mortar', one disadvantage that happened to me, family members shut my business in secret. I was devastated that was Sept. 2016. I learnt a huge learning curve that was not available then and is now my new insurance for kicking back and do the same business (it is 36 years old ski industry service and retail business) and make Amazon.com business and my ski service business the new future business my business 'family twins'. Your teaching has demonstrated the big insulation is saved money, money stops fear, big time. Electronic business for the young generation is not a stranger, as for us experienced business persons. Because of the reasons Ryan that you taught applies to 'twining' both service and retail industries. Thank you for this video, I spent about three hours on your video, took thorough written notes. I spent also ten and half years to research how humans and animals function. The procedure is totally chemistry-inorganic and biochemistry for organic - ie. all the different sexes are born birth genetically - genetically occurring biochemically! Estrogens are the creating of new life and new cells and the lies about Estrogens that are negative, are opinions and lies with no science proof. Estrogens Peptides, amino acids, stop DNA decay as per the LAW OF DNA DECAY, CREATE DNA and RNA by the creation of the Kreb's Cycle which is respiration of a cell and more. Estrogens create new brain cells as a 'Recap' of total function. When Estrogens are gone, look out the brain cells die with no replacement only Estrogens is the manufacturer of new brain cells. Wise CEO of many companies use Estrogens (the only hormone that makes and re-builds for a superior mind. Thank you to you, Ryan I will use Amazon to publish and sell my 10 and half years of Estrogens can do and testosterone cannot do, biochemically impossible! I also want to thank Stefan and Tatiana in other videos under another license are educators for me to organize my business plans. Thank you everyone, teams are still the best.

    hello, i open amazon account and amazon closed it down and says I was
    selling items which I did not have copy wright for. I was just buying
    form whole sellers and selling on amazon. Amazon suggested to contact
    rightful owner and sort it out with them first. I did speak to rightful
    owner and explained to them . thy agreed and send letter to me and
    amazon saying they are ok as long as i do not sell those items any more.
    After that I was trying to contact amazon and send several emails,
    opened cases but did not get a single reply from them . its been almost 4
    months. I had some FBA inventory as well. They kept on ignoring. I had
    great account and goo performance matrix too.
    I don't know how t get my account back. is there any way ???

      Bruque Roberts I wrote that comment before watching the video, but ended up watching the full video anyways. The problem is that many of these so called informational videos end up being commercials of an hour long, where the presenter tells nothing, but instead pitches their product for an hour long. That's why I wrote that comment.
      It isn't lazy, it is efficiency (just like managers who only read management summaries instead of the complete reports). Besides that I don't want to waste time on a commercial or on stuff that is already told by others a million times. Because sometimes people just reply what others have said already a thousand times which can also be frustrating. But this kind of opened my eyes, that quantity could make you more than quality.
      His idea should be applied to school books. I pay $70 for some school books right now, but only use 25% of the book, and the rest is unused during my classes and exams.

      +onee Like you said, most of what is said in the video is just them pitching their business while the 10-15% is regurgitated information, which 100s have already stated. I didn't watch the video either, but I can assume how they got rich was simply through marketing, outsourcing, and focusing on one product.

    Its funny watching all these videos. Ive never looked for help and just getting into learning how other do things. The last few years ive been making a living %100 on ebay. Im just getting around to making my own site and selling on amazon. Should have both up and running in a few weeks.
    One of my mistakes is i have never haggled over price. I source items and whatever they say the price is i either buy at that price or i look for someone else.
    I do a bit of everything. I sell other peoples products and i sell my own. However i stay away from usa products. If someone has rights to that product in the usa i wont sell it. Ive been down that road more then once and gotten burned. Sure a company can say its fine to sell their product where ever you want. But then turn around and say no. I even had one company whose lawyer went after me and caused me thousands of dollars. Meanwhile i was friends with the owner. after that i returned all his product because i didnt feel safe selling it and he got mad at me.
    So yeah make your own products or sell products from other countries.

    Today Amazon will ban your account if you do this verbatim. Requests for reviews are now a violation of Amazon TOS. Good video otherwise. Another way of doing this is NOT asking for reviews directly but by doing something a little more smartly. PM me if you want an example way to implement his tips w/o getting into trouble by asking for reviews. No cost. No opt-in or anything required from me. You just need to be UA-cam savvy enough to know how to send a message to me directly--not post in comments. I have no desire to post this in FFL's comments section for privacy reasons.

    I just wanted to say thanks for the awesome talk! I am excited to try this approach to Amazon as an author, as technically that is STILL a product. It's just about finding the right target market and continuing to drill deeper. I am in the "Grind stage" and getting some consistent sales every day, but I realized after watching this I need to graduate to level 2 before I skip to #3!
    As an entrepreneur and a total visionary, it's so easy to get shiny object syndrome and try and work on everything all at the same time, but success will come much easier with consistent action and focusing on the right things at the right time!
    If there's anyone out there who is a quick reader and loves to write reviews let me know! ;)

    • @Slyfox750
      @Slyfox750 8 років тому +4

      Because they're still selling a product - they're selling an informational product: their know-how. Amazon is very automated if you know what you're doing, so you might as well make a couple thousand giving speeches here and there while your automated business also brings in money. If you consider that there's tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people making full time income money on amazon, it really is a small minority that actually is kind enough to share the information by becoming a speaker on the process.

      Man... a, b, c, are too outdated. 1, 2, 3, 4 are much more effective because it gets a lot of free advertising from Electronic Dance Music and music festivals when almost every song has a "one! two! three!...". Not all of them have the four though, some are 1, 2, 3 Go!, 1, 2, 3 Jump!, etc. But I mean, having at least three of your products advertised this much is already certified success. Also, it's a good idea if you have like a 50% profit margin, to double it to 100%, so you can get rich in half the time!

      +Dionisios Marinos I was only replying to the title of the video and his coaching claims. I can't see her sales for the past 2 years. He said to always follow up for reviews. So by that standard I would assume she didn't sell any more than a 1 000 products. Its still good. But no where close to his claims.
      Note: I watched a lot this type of videos. Selling Coaching is usually a shady business. Because you are just selling what worked for you. Often exaggerating many aspects of your performance. Its not as easy as one size fits all. Some people are straight out con artists. Because the stuff their coaching about doesn't make them money but coaching it brings more that the actual thing being coached.
