The biggest difference is that these films were shot with actors who themselves were already Veterans of that war at that time. They didn't even have to play, they went through it all themselves. The most offensive thing is that in the West the Eastern Front is called the "Unknown War", although it was there for the first time that German troops suffered a major defeat near Moscow and after the Soviet Wars drove the Fascists all the way to Berlin, simultaneously liberating almost half of the world. But now, look at what is happening in the modern world, how the countries of the former Soviet Union forget history, demolish monuments to the Hero of that War and are already beginning to forget the real history. Why I am Russian, I can tell you for the battles of Americans during WWII and not only. Now think about who is sitting at the top of Western and European politicians. Which allow or even push people to forget history. Maybe it's time to think that the fascists have come to power again and for a long time, they are all sitting in corporations and all this time they have been learning to wage another war. They called it Democracy and turned people into consumers for several generations, so that in the future the people simply became a brainless consumer and could not oppose anything.

I spent a very good time watching this film. The scene in Zoo is wonderful. A Lot of human details there and there for realism. Good Film ! Want to show how human and civilized were soviet armies in Germany :-) I didn't know tankists tasted fuel !
Explanation, they tasted it when they realized by the smell that it was alcohol, which does not smell like fuel for tanks
These are fantastic films! Thanks!!
bro whoever picked out the guy to play joseph georbbles or however you spell his name looks exactly like him. they did a real good job at picking actors that look the part.
Yes, even Hitler, Zhukov, goebbels and Guderian
That actually WAS Joseph Goebbels :)
@@frankciccarelli4000 I knew it!! Rumor is he escaped to Samoa and moonlighted as a Goebbels look a like
Like they straight up cloned the whole cast

Gritty stuff. A true portrayal of war and the everyday men who were soldiers facing death everyday. Not the glorified Hollywood take on it and the glamourism of war.
I was impressed with the realizm. The Polish salute.
Excellent film, thanks!
Astounding films, some very unique distortions to put it mildly, but overall incredible
So funny to see the shadow of the camera crew in one of the tank battles.
The scene with the monkey jumping is fantastic...this whole series is fantastic..
The World owes the Russian people the half freedom we been enjoying so far...my deep respect for the heroes.
Exactly , their loss and sacrifice was huge...
Indeed heroic soviet nation, not Russians, it was USSR (union of soviet soviet republics, there was 16 of them) ....Even a bigger sacrifice to the communist leaders , which butchered soviet people even way more then Nazis.
@@andreyvtr.2162 indeed, they were not only Russians, Kalmik, Udmurtis, Tatars, all like brothrers for a common cause...
My respects and gratitude...
Too bad they didn't make it to where you come from. You (or your parents/grandparents) would then have an opportunity to enjoy the freedoms they brought in and maybe you wouldn't write stupid comments.
@@szymonchoinski6393 what is stupid in my comment? .... "Where my ancestry and I come from?!" I was born in Europe like all my ancestors were, and this from countless generations! What do you mean by referring to my origins? Is it coming from a "Master Race" member? Are you part of the "Heil Hitler" crowd?....
Excellent - my favorite episode so far...
55:42 Maybe one of the manliest scene i've ever seen in a movie. So epic !
Try with this film scene. This is from the 1st world war: ua-cam.com/video/fJaocC7aN78/v-deo.html
Very well made - the Berlin Zoo part was sweet ( No mention of the Zoo Flaktower with it's 128mm guns ) however ...
GRACIAS.
Like this movie is just one king after another wow.
i'm from argentina. thanks you so much. viva rusia
That is probably the best Hitler look alike I have ever seen in a movie!
Himmler and Goebbels looked very realistic also.
Before peter granz
@@markperacullo7541 Bruno Ganz.
Ja!
What I don't understand is why they did not show, except for a few seconds, how the Soviets liberated the concentration camps.
Superb, as all the films from this series. The zoo scenes are surreal.
Excellent, thank you.
Great movie
That movie at his birthday party. Who would imagine you could go from conquering Paris to the fall of Berlin? How could you get within a stones throw of Moscow only to suffer ignominious and total defeat just a few years later!?! So close, and yet so far!
Well, it's not so hard to imagine; instead of fighting on one front like the russians the germans fought, what, four or five and still put up a good fight 😐
It's a good news, can see so many Russian and Soviet film with English subtitles!
YES! I didn't even know Mosfilm had a UA-cam channel, but this is an instant subscription for me. I've watched and loved so many Russian and Soviet films over the years, from Ivan the Terrible to Agoniya and Stalker. :) /Louise, Sweden
If You Tube is paying for the subtitles it means that this movies are purest form of brain washing and propaganda.
@@rebuzz6866 What are you talking about? UA-cam have nothing to do with the subs on this one, and lots of western war films are far more one-sided and misguided than this film.
@@rebuzz6866 this film is about soviets , so basically about soviets fighting in ww2 , same as American movies
Amazing
Excellent made WW2 movie ,I have to admit the Russians know how to make a great movie and realistic to history. Watch and enjoy.
??? All Russian movies are propaganda movies. They are very far away from actual events.
@@rebuzz6866
Kinda like all US movies
The scale of battle scenes is probably the biggest in history of WWII themed cinema.
@@rebuzz6866 don’t all American movies do the exact same Thing? At least these are somewhat more real to the truth
@@yoinks9907 "somewhat more real to the truth" LMAO . Do you know anything abut Russia of this period?
" The arrogant American Army...' 😂❤
Well what attitude toward Americans you'd expect from German newsreels?
Nobody mentioned about the freakin music!
It is insane as war itself!
The best part of this movie is the actors who play the circle around Hitler and Hitler himself but also Goebbles, it is mesmerizing, how did they do it? For the rest is cheesy as it can get, therefore, unbelievable.
Allen Dulles anfd hisbrother John Foster Dulles were the chief architects of the cold war.
Great movie, great series! I especially loved the end of this one! LOL!!
Request, ... Please upload the film:
*Soldiers of Freedom (1977), with ENGLISH subtitle
4 parts (~ 600 minutes)
Directed by Yuri Ozerov
Thanks for your good quality videos.
The Russians & before them the Soviets made some of the best war & period films ever due to the emphasis on detail and location-based shooting unlike the studio-dominated western movies. A lack of access to the best tech forces you to enact the whole thing in life-size form! Films like Union of Salvation, War & Peace (Sergey Bondarchuk), Napoleon (Russo-Italian) and more recently Flight over Berlin, T34, Kalashnikov, white Tiger are grippingly made with beautiful productiin values and sharp scripts!
An epic undertaking and very well done.
Stalingrad battle was one of the most dangerous battle.
They have since uploaded the movie about it by Yuri Ozerov, which, along with the battle for Moscow were produced later as prequels to this series.
Uyyyy q buena película!!!! Ahora con subtitulos en español x favor
Da sind so viele historische Verfälschungen drin, der Film könnte glatt von heute sein. Nur Lug und Trug.
Gut gemacht

Great thank you
Epic! thank you for sharing this
Wow super movie 🎇🎆👌👌👍👍🎩💔💔💔🤏👏👏
you know, at first the scene with the general standing by the tank while under fire made me think he was crazy.
but it hit me.
when that infantry came running up and saw this old general personally risking his life they were inspired and more motivated to kick the shit out of the anti-tank squads. if this old man wasn't afraid, why should they be?
i wonder if that was the intent, or how accurate that was to reality?
Stupenda pellicola, certo non è chissà che cosa ma comunque è ben realizzata, quindi stupenda e stupenda per me come valutazione è 8.

Everything will be okay when Steiner makes his attack.
Yeah, Hitler looks tired. He needs a long dirt nap.
It seems he was buried once after being burned in the Reichstag garden (now a childrens' sand-pit), and a couple of times on the trip to Russia, but the remaining remains remain in a box in an archive at last reports.
The Pomeranians are feared and respected for their vicious ankle biting attachs en mass. Barking like the little mad dogs they are, their assaults cause panic in the enemy's ranks.
