I had a case where the loop sensor was connected to the same transformer with the gate and it drove the system crazy.

Yeah it’s worth a shot but new control board is going in soon for sure

Can we check the motor before replacing the board? Connect the battery to motor directly? Will it activate the motor?

Yes you can connect the motor wires directly to 12 volt no problem 👊🏻
