Great Catches! AEM-7s are one of my favorites locomotives but I’m sad they are retired but we have one at the Illinois railway museum and other at PRR museum.
I love the sequence (beginning at 9:53) where you have both an Acela train and a doubleheaded MARC commuter going in the same direction in the frame in great tele-compression, as the Acela begins to pull away, but looks like the MARC with its two diesels is no slouch here ;-)
That’s so cool you caught each train with 2 double headers one MP36 double header and 1 AEM-7 double headers that’s so RARE on 7:38 and on 11:30 is that 125 MPH
Excellent. MARC is Acelas main competitor. Because MARC utilizes electric train sets, it can can easily keep up with the best of the acs locomotives. MARC is in a very good space right now as they could go fully private like Brightline a be a real force in the United States.
Are you sure your not mixing up P895 with P883? When I come back from tennis on the weekdays, we normally see them in the car and P883 normally has 2 engines and 28 axles while P895 only has 16 axles at the 11.6 detector.

У нас в Сибири в России поезда ходят куда более тиши профиль дороги не позволяет разгонятся в заподной части России там ещё быстро ходят поезда до 200км. в час. Guess NJT will have to pick up the tab. If MARC scaps all their electric engines it's good by to running at speeds over 120 M.P.H. as well as running holiday extras during the Thanksgiving Holiday extra to Amtrak's Pennsylvania Station in New York City. As eveyones knows no diesels are allowed to run into Penn Station in N.Y.C. unless under extenuating circumstances. Speaking of curtailing their (MARC's) electric motive power idea, someone must have transfered from the MBTA's staff to work on MARC's staff since they (the MBTA) don't run any electrics anyway because of falacious excuses! (e.g. maintenance facilities)Firstclass91
Jose Barr Nice Jab at the MBCR (Mass Bay Commuter Rail), but it's like I've been saying they should look into running Electric engines considering at one point most of Southern Mass was electrified to accommodate the New Haven & Hartford's line before the formation of the MBTA. So I'm all for it!!!
Agreed, the MBTA should at least consider using refurbished Silverliner IV's for the Providence Line and Bombardier ALP 45DP''s for the rest of the MBTA systems to run the catenary via pantograph and diesel power where no catenary exist at present.
I heard somewhere Amtrak might bring back the HHp-8 because the trains are getting longer and they are a little under the power of Acs but I don't think that would ever happen but anyway great video
Great Video! 11:00-11:45 (especially the 2nd train) demonstrates why MARC should keep the HHP-8's. The service has been improving a lot over the past few years, but getting rid of the electrics was very misguided. I hope they're not surprised when passengers start asking why their "express" train to Perryville takes 15 min longer to get there... btw can't wait to see the new "Multi-levels"!
As european, those american raylways look pretty weird to me, not bad, but pretty strange, different, a rare mix between old style and interesting ideas, like the two floor Marc, two locos to pull that train makes me think it´s pretty heavy! :)
They don't use two engines because the train is too heavy, but in case one ends up breaking down, so that way it won't have to stop, and that way won't block the line and delay any other trains or potentially cause an accident.
sorry i hadn't been posting much because i was sick so I'm better so fast amtrack like omg it's a bullet train wow cool and i tried to get a truck that didn't honk i felt mad

BaltimoreAndOhioRR The special button was the Subscribe button. Great videos! To answer *****'s question in my words, I'm not really sure, but the recent Amtrak crash on the Northeast Corridor involved a fresh, beautiful, and amazing Siemens ACS-64. I hope it's not gonna be scrapped, but rather repaired, or, if they have no other choice but to scrap it, that the ACS-64 was under warranty, or that Amtrak will purchase another ACS-64 to replace it. :[

Transit train videos usually don't do too much for me, but this one had so many trains rapid-fire that I watched it clear through. Great video!

Never seen MP36's in pull mode move so fast!
Considering the fact that the HHP -8 and AEM-7 is sooned to be replaced they're doing a hell of a job for a last ho rah.

It would be so cool to have electric freight trains there.
Acela and MARC 4914, the best couple.
Pretty cool video. I don't know much abt the types of trains or anything like that, I'm just enjoying what I'm seeing.
